Rover Down Under Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 How is Dunny looking? Unshaven. Did one good thing in the first half, otherwise saw nothing of the ball. Benjani on!
Majiball Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Blimey. So is this now two and a half games without a chance let alone a goal? zzzzzzzz What are you on about??? Dunn had a shot/cross on target!! Despite that being a rather poor first half, it is still 0-0. Its results that matter and we could yet come away with one. Lets all calm down wait till the 90 is over and then decide what we think once we've seen the match as a whole. Here's hoping Sam gets his half-time chat spot-on, cause we need some points.
chaddyrovers Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 come on everybody, let's get behind the team and support them. Big Sam was down on the touchline after 25 mins, not happy with our performance. Was telling them to press the ball and stop giving the ball away. BIG SAM BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!!!!!!!
Amo Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 That's the key thing. People who are wishing us to play a beautiful passing game with the likes of Emerton, Pedersen, and Grella in our midfield are bonkers. We seriously don't have the skills to beat Liverpool at their own game. Do we ALWAYS have to go over this? This is the usual faux pas spouted by Allardyce fans. Do fans expect "total football"? No. Do fans want us to mix it about and show at least an ounce of ambition...YES!
Miker Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hmm, it could get worse and we start letting goals in. I wonder how Sam's HT team talk is going to avoid the 47th minute concession this time? I meant attacking-wise it can only get better it can't be worse than the first half.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm not one for suggesting managers should be sacked but if Liverpool DON'T beat us today, if we continue how we did in the first half, then surely Roy should be questionning what he's ever going to achieve at Liverpool.
MarkBRFC71 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hmm, it could get worse and we start letting goals in. I wonder how Sam's HT team talk is going to avoid the 47th minute concession this time? It isn't.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 47 mins. 1-0 Liverpool Cheers Phil!

We seriously don't have the skills to beat Liverpool at their own game. When Allardyce starts spending, the key question is, will he change his tactics? I'm not sure one way or the other. The new owners have a pretty big decision to make come Summer as I doubt they will make their decision (on whether to keep Sam for the long term or not) before then. No. He won't change. I base this on his entire managerial career. I don't believe he wil change his footballing ethos on the basis of getting a bit more cash to spend.
Backroom DE. Posted October 24, 2010 Backroom Posted October 24, 2010 1-0 Liverpool, floodgates likely to open now. get ready for a battering.
Mc Love Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 @#/?! Come on rovers get an equaliser - I will take a 1-1 draw
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Roll on the Post-Sam era. Amen- speaking to some mates at the weekend, all ST holders of 20+ years, they won't be renewing if Allardyce remains. Under Hughes it was bully boy to begin with, then we tried to play some football the following season. This is actually getting worse.

G Somerset Rover Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Don't worry guys, we'll get back in this with our firepower.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Red Card for Boyata in the Man City v Arsenal match after 5 minutes. 5 minutes gone in that match and it's already more exciting than ours.
brian_gallagher85 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 FFS, how ###### are we at defending especially when it's supposed to be a strength. This game is a massive 6 pointer so early on in the season and West Ham are the only team in the league who are worse than us this season it would appear
