BuckyRover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 According to twitter, Danny Murphy has been vindicated. I hate people
Gogger Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 What a nice ball from Pedersen for the red card.. Samba gets the goal, but a brillianst assist from Pedersen.
Mr. E Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Not sure why people are against the red card. It was 100% the correct decision. are you a Burnley fan? He barely grazed the back of his knee. There was nothing at all in any universe that can be considered a foul there.
tony gale's mic Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 the referee can burn in every part of hell that ever existed. What?!
G Somerset Rover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 So clumsy. It wasn't the refs fault and it wasn't Pedersens, it was just bleddy clumsy from Samba end of. Still worried that we're creating absolutely no clear cut chances from open play. Whens the last chance one of our players had a one on one like Bent did?
nicko Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 On a separate note...how bad is the Egyptian you had on trial?
Backroom DE. Posted October 18, 2010 Backroom Posted October 18, 2010 On a separate note...how bad is the Egyptian you had on trial? He's looking rubbish, you can see why we passed him over.
Stonesrick Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 We are so used to humping it up that our players are no longer comfortable with the ball at our feet!
Backroom Tom Posted October 18, 2010 Backroom Posted October 18, 2010 The red card lies solely with samba not the ref not pedersen just primary school defending. It's been crap anyway they've looked better than us all half
BuckyRover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 My Sunderland mate has been raving about that Egyptian all season. Maybe he doesn't like rain?
Presty On Tour Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Awful pass by Pedersen, tbh. ???? Ball to feet, not the way we play though is it. Just poor control by Samba and it's cost us.
BRFC1995 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 My evening ruined hope for a good second half performance, can't see it though. Early night hope for a suprise result when I wake up.
hollowsr Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Clumsy by Samba on the ball and then off it, can't complain one bit about the red. We've looked more than a match for them at times yet they had by far the best chance. Diouf looking best for us, feel we could do with Dunny in the 2nd half to add a spark if he's ready for it
Bobby G Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Loss of concentration from Samba. His own fault. Costly. Will it cost us all 3 points, or just 2 points is the question.
Robin Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 are you a Burnley fan? He barely grazed the back of his knee. There was nothing at all in any universe that can be considered a foul there. You should have a look at Sambas hands when the next replay of the red card is shown.
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Samba tried to be too clever and paid the price. Ref had to send him off as he was the last man. I think the football has been better, hasn't been all long ball this game so far. Haven't created much though to be honest, longer the game goes on and as players get tired then Bent is going to become more of a factor/threat.
Amo Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 ???? Ball to feet, not the way we play though is it. Just poor control by Samba and it's cost us. It was a sloppy ball that Samba didn't want. Samba cocked it up, but Pedersen set the ball rolling - literally.
Backroom Tom Posted October 18, 2010 Backroom Posted October 18, 2010 At least Sam has his excuse lined up now
LeChuck Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Samba excellent defender, horrible on the ball.. As are most lower league defenders. He'd never last five minutes in a top six side. He's great when you've got your backs to the wall, but when you want to be on the front foot he's awful. He looked shakey on the ball all evening. We were well on top before that as well, mixing it up better than we have been recently. I've got a feeling we might see Benjani for Kalinic. Niko's having his best game for a while but I think having ten men will force us to leave the front man isolated. Benjani, for all his faults, will do this better. Probably destroys any hope we had of seeing Dunn tonight, unless we go a goal down.
hollowsr Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 are you a Burnley fan? He barely grazed the back of his knee. There was nothing at all in any universe that can be considered a foul there. Look at the tug on his shoulder, only slight but the striker will fall every time
Tim Southampton Rover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 are you a Burnley fan? He barely grazed the back of his knee. There was nothing at all in any universe that can be considered a foul there. No, I know the rules of the game..
Heinz Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 and I was hoping Sam would introduce a second striker.. but I fear now we will try and consolidate the point....
LeChuck Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 At least Sam has his excuse lined up now Give it a rest will you? You've been at it all evening. It's boring.
slough_rover Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 are you a Burnley fan? He barely grazed the back of his knee. There was nothing at all in any universe that can be considered a foul there. What the hell are you on about. There's nothing in any universe that can be considered a foul? What are you talking about! P.s it was a red card, does't matter how minimal the contact was.
