Can you say anything about the strikers being mentioned, Nicko, in what price range are we currently looking? Is it in the Dzeko, Cavani mould or are we still in the real world? Santa Cruz - or even cheaper options than RSC?

Is Sam looking for a bargain striker, or is the money available for N'Zogbia representative for the search of a striker as well?

I had not heard that name...but you are the in-form man, so I will do some checking.

We do seem to need the big striker.. Cardozo, Hugo almeida, Llorente, Hulk....

Can you say anything about the strikers being mentioned, Nicko, in what price range are we currently looking? Is it in the Dzeko, Cavani mould or are we still in the real world? Santa Cruz - or even cheaper options than RSC?

I have heard of a £10 million-rated striker and a £6 millionstriker being considered...and both of those are just in the last 24 hours or so.

I don't want to go into names because that can only lead to disappointment if things go wrong - as they probably will in one of those and might do with the other.

Got to say it's lively right now.

FC Twente midfielder, and just a whisper btw. He is 29, so not getting any younger, but could be a cheaper option.

it was clear, that we could do with a right winger, and a central midfielder who could send through a good ball to open up the defence

Might just be a small bit about the Adam thing being alive...and the price.

Cardozo, Llorente and Almeida are class, and so is Hulk, although Hulk is physical he is more of an evolved Roberts and not too great in the air. If we spend wisely in January we can attain a highly respectable league finish come May in this ultra tight edition of the Premier League.

I was impressed with Llorente in his cameo appearances in the later stages of the world cup but it would take more than 10m to get him away from Athletico even if he wanted to leave.

I'd be astounded if Adam left Blackpool mid season.

It will come down to money. How much they want, how highly you value him.

Got to say he would be a quality addition to most teams.

Definitely. I would expect £5m to get him, but who knows..

Can you say whether the plan is to target quality players around the 22-25 mark so they'll still have sell on value, or are we considering players around the 29/30 range?

I don't think there is a plan like that - but there does seem to be a preference for players with their best years in front of them.

But landing them is another matter...and takes money.
