Why don't we put a bid for Sturridge from Cheslea. Good striker. Liverpool might be signing him.

http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2010/12/19/sturr-crazy-roy-hodgson-wants-daniel-on-loan-in-january-102039-22793383/

I would sign Mama Diouf permanent. He's got pace, strength and a good header of the ball. got everything to been a very good striker!

just had a chat with a palace fan who says alex morrow is doing really well and they want to keep him

I think we need help in RB and LB so I hope he stays with the Rovers. If we can, perhaps we should see if Salgado can play as a defensive midfielder now that Jones is out.

Any creative midfielders linked with Rovers?

Even if there aren't, can someone lie to me because I need some hope!!

Venkys is ambituous so I'm certain that we are looking at Gerrard and Ronaldo. :P

Rovers linked with Striker..........Wonder which country he comes from......

Surprise .......Surprise

Not what I was hoping but it is an improvement over Boyd and Geovanni, I think.

And he would fit into Venkys purported marketing plan, so I understand it.

HOW TO LOSE FANS AND ANNOY PEOPLE INDIAN STYLE

Welcome to the Wenky's Call Centre, Pune

- To register your disgust and concern at the sacking of Mr Sam, please press 1

- To query exactly what influence Jerome Anderson has at the club, and why he's been accused of bleeding Africa dry of talent, press 2

- To get a digest of Mrs Desai's ever-changing stance on expected league position, who to appoint as manager and just how long Steve Kean will be in the job, press 3 (note: this will cost you a fortune in call charges).

- To purchase the naming rights to the ground, press 4

- To get the name of Barry Rao's personal stylist, press 5

"Hello, you are through to Wenky's, how may I be helping you today?"

"What the bloody hell are you doing to my club?"

"I am sorry sir, I cannot hear you, interference on the line. Goodbye Sir."

God that is just plain worrying, you sign the best player available for the money you have.

Where they are from never comes into it,or shouldn't.

I thought this Kentaro lot knew their football,it would appear not.

They know their clients and their clients' best interests Roberto.

If the Rao family get rid of them, they still have their stable of players and rights. If they put Rovers' interests before those of their players and rights, they will endanger their core business.

So of course Rovers come last in their thinking.

We are totally stuffed whilst Jerome Anderson is involved.

It says more about Kalinic that both Allardyce and Kean saw a past it non-scoring lump of wood as Benjani ahead of him in the reckoning.

I personally think incompetence is to blame, and it could potentially remain even if Jerome Anderson is out of the picture. That worries me even more.

They are clearly willing to listen to advice. The problem is they have been "spotted" and exploited by just about the worst man in football and are sidelining the best man in football administration- John Williams.

If they look at the football press they will realise the whole of football is laughing at them. That is far more embarassing than their VIP party in Pune but they are not around to realise that the Venky's brand has been reduced to a global bad joke through their naivety.

The one bright ray of hope is that my contacts in India tell me that football expert Bilaji has a track record of making duff decisions which endanger the family and that Mrs D is very pragmatic and not afraid to step in to take the toys off him. Hopefully she is going to get the message sooner rather than later that all her dreams for Venky's are going to be destroyed if she doesn't get a grip now.

The best thing your clubs owners can do is spend £20 million on the team in January, and move it up the league.

If a football club is succesful on the field, all the off field things follow naturally.

Yes but it is very easy to spend £20m on rubbish- look at where Wolves are.

What do you do when your dressing room is split?- it happened at City and it is already happening here at Rovers.

Just look at our fans on here- the first question being asked whenever a player or management name gets raised is "Is he a Kentaro client?". "Is he any good?" is now secondary.

Therein lies disaster.

Chill out guys. Apply the Tom Orchard rule number 1 of Red Top news stories. If it doesnt have any quotes from either someone at the club, the player or the players agent then ignore it until it does.

So the dressing room is split now is it Philip. How are you claiming to back this one up. You can't just keep throwing your opinion out as fact, you have absolutely nothing to back that claim up. If it's based on some players being happy that sam had gone and some not then you could say that the dressing room was split under sam as a fair few if our players weren't happy then.

Get a grip man! None of us are happy about the current situation but you're frequent rants are becoming comical and you are rapidly declining from one of the best posters on this messageboard to a complete joke.

Ricky - Agree about the split comment, to hear Dunny talking about how he & others were gutted was comical...if that isnt just what joe public wanted to hear then I dont know what is....he certainly never spoke about Sam like that in private. As didnt quite alot of our players.

The only player who actually seemed gutted was Nelsen - perhaps because he's worried he could be replaced? But yesterday he did look fired up.
