Stop listening to the hype...

Boyd is NOT a target. GOOD. Thank god for that!

There is a meeting tomorrow where targets and money will be decided.

And that is in BLACKBURN.

Pleased that there is a meeting at Ewood Park to talk about transfer targets! Who will be at the meeting? John Williams and Tom Finn, Owners, Jerome Anderson/Philippe Huber and Steve Kean???

Emmanuel Petit is on the Kentaro board. Surely he would be involve in the meeting with his football knowledge!

Not as much as its hurting me, I really mean that.

Obviously if you knew what players are going to hand in a transfer request you would have just posted it here.

Always annoys me these "I know something you don't, but I can't tell you what I know" posts

I don't know exactly who they are yet.

I still think Larsson will figure - like I said two months ago.

There is another player that the caretaker manager likes who is a target if the fee is right.

But the striker target is still a 'work in progress.' I have a name, but I'm not using it yet.

Only Larsson of the three mentioned there is linked to Kentaro.

Sadly I spent much of the past week checking into duff names and finding out they were wrong.

Nicko, is the striker target from overseas or from Britain?

Jelle Vossen would be a good signing. Good finisher and would cost about 5 to 6 million pounds

As would Denni Avdic from IF Elfsborg who would cost about 3 million pounds

Aha, I get the picture... Sack a competent manager, unsettle the players, get the valuable playing assets sold, use the money to replace them with mediocrity.

I am prepared to give them a chance, but I am losing confidence very quickly.

They must have read the book "How to destroy a football club as fast as possible"... Now, I know it's not intentional, but still...

give me strength!!

Presumably we still have the scouting system in place that we have had for many years and that they will recommend players as well as the ones Kentaro/SEM recommended?

Recommend players for whom though?

An interim manager who has never managed at the highest level?

Recommend players which surely Jerome Anderson will have give his seal of approval to?

Not the best for planning and building a football club even though some will say exciting times!

Oh will you shut up with your football manager ######...

I don't play Football manager mate!!! There are just two very good players who are both up and coming players with good futures ahead. The new owners have said that they wanted to sign very good young players and these 2 fit the bill!

Didn't MH take most of the scouts, and his notes, with him to Man City?

Harry Redknapp has said today Jamie O'Hara would be allowed to leave if a bid comes in. Hed be a great signing for rovers. Good quality on the ball, young and need to play more regularly. Transfer fee and wages would be ridiculous either.

Steve Kean said quite specifically that there was a list that the scouts had come up with - and there was a meeting on Monday to go through it.

I think it is safe to assume Steve Kean will be in charge until January at least and will be having his input in the window.

I hope the list has good names - I hope Kentaro have good names.

Because by **** you need some.

Sorry if this has already been asked but how much money do you think they will spend in January ?

Do you think that the negative press that they have been getting may push them into spending more than they planned ?

They have taken a battering this week and the only way I can see the opinion changing is if they spend some serious money.

Do we think it is more likely we will go down the loan route in January considering we will only have an interim manager in place?

Also, fits in with Venky's original comments on leasing etc.

There is only one loan available if it is a Premier League player.

I don't imagine there are too many loans out there in Europe, but maybe the owner's advisers have some up their sleeve.

I would guess that money will be spent on buying a midfield play-maker, probably a wide man...and definitely a striker.

Forget all about what budgets have been mentioned. The amount spent will be down to availability of the players - and the need for picking up points by the end of January.

What if Kean is not happy with some of the names put forward by Kentaro/the owners?

I would hope and imagine that he can tell the difference between good and bad. He has been around a bit and knows the game.

Does anyone really imagine that an agency - under such scrutiny - are going to put crap into THEIR club?

I think a few folk need to sit down and think this through.

It really is a bit out of control round here just now.

Exactly. It'd be moronic for them to do so. It benefits them to see Rovers succeed.

Why? How much cash have they got invested in Rovers

I think the plan is to bring in new players who will improve and be sold down the line - which is where the profit margin is.

Ironically that's what Rovers have been doing for the past few years anyway.

Or they could pull off a massive sting and walk away.

We'll have to see the calibre of player brought in next window and their cost

LOOK...THEY PAID £40 MILLION OR SO FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF BUYING YOUR CLUB...NOBODY ELSE DID FOR ALL OF THEIR TALK...SO WHY WOULD THEY SELL?...MIND YOU, IF THE ABUSE CONTINUED THEY MIGHT WANT TO GIVE THAT SYED A BELL AND REALLY LAND YOU IN THE CART...

We'll have to see the calibre of player brought in next window and their cost

NOW WE ARE TALKING...JANUARY IS WHEN ALL OF THE TALK AND HOT AIR HAS TO BE TURNED INTO GOOD TRANSFER ACTIVITY...IT WOULD BE NICE FOR A CHANGE, WOULDN'T IT?

Chaddy can you confirm if the names you mentioned earlier about wanting to leave were fact or just your opinion?

Just my opinion. Alot of the squad was close to Big Sam and Neil McDonald.

From my names i said before:-

Samba-was made captain under big sam and he help him become a better defender

Dunn-close to BS and was a kep player for big sam

Robinson- BS help him with his form and confidence aswell as Bobby Mimms

Kalinic- BS spent alot of time helping him settle in England, helping him developed as a player

Nelsen-was close to BS, and was disspointed when he was sacked and was happy when he was appointed

maybe even Pedersen-Big Sam spent alot of time with him to signed a new contract and help his form

Most of the squad were massive disspointed that Big Sam and Neil McDonald got sacked when he did.
