67splitscreen
TCO, I said yesterday that I heard from Brockhall about two, one has come out today (one of the names I PM Majiball - he will confirm and the other mentioned on here tonight) we will se if I am 100% correct and not 50% but my contacts are good when they give me something. A stab at the other one then would be Salgado.

Hughesy
I would bet the other being El Hadji. If it was Dunn then that would be funny.

Miker
There was huge respect for Sam in the dressing room. Anyone could be leaving. Players part of the current first team squad were bought in by Sam (Givet, Salgado, Diouf), others were younger players nurtured by him and given a chance in the first team (Olsson, Jones, N'zonzi) and then there are those that were seniors at the club but were given a new lease of life under Sam (Robinson, Pedersen, Dunn, Samba). Complete idiocy on behalf of Venky's to sack Sam without putting in the time to have a chat with him or the players to find out how things were going or how things were run first. I have no doubts in my mind that was Sam assumes is true: someone said something negative about Sam and they based their decision on that. People are ridiculing Samba now, but I guess everyone's forgotten how key he has been for us and has been our most important player both in defence and attack, giving his all for the club when called upon whether to play defence or as a striker in our injury crisis. As much as it pains me to say it, we deserve all we get right now because idiocy deserves to be punished.

USABlue
And what has our club done in the last four weeks to make sure he is kept on board? Nothing and I am sure they won't they'll be squealing in glee counting Rupees or what ever they use. Samba's fee could buy a lot of hotels and quickie marts in the USA

Steve Moss
We've been through all this before. Surely he's far too much of a loose cannon with everything in disarray at the moment? If Joey Barton is signed for the Rovers, I will lose all respect for Venkys, Kentaro and Kean. i whould rather give the lad blackman a chance, than bring derbyshire back. I'd also like to give Blackman a chance. He's earned it.
Bobby G
Considering the press coverage we have had, I dont see how any top PL-based players would move here.
ROVERS
Why is Samba wrong to voice out his concerns for the club? I am not only confused with the owners actions, i am also greatly concerned about some people still feeling anything positive from this Sh** we are in....... How is that logically possible???????? i respect logical/reasonable comments coming from different perspective - "supporting the team", "lets go through this hard period together" etc....... But its extremely difficult for me to understand people not admitting that the owners had made a wrong decision, despite many many many factors and reasons being brought to the table. The owners had made a wrong decision - thats just as easy as 1 + 1 = 2 Lets put it this way - i feel like fu** hearing stupid comments from the owners, trying very very hard to justify their decision, but would feel much better if they admit their mistake and come out saying something like "We admit that the sacking of SAM had not been done during the best time possible, however please be assured that we are working round the clock to bring in a New Manager as soon as possible so as to not jeapordise the stability within the club. We also would like to apologize to everyone for the lack of communication prior to such a drastic change and hope everyone would give us a chance to learn from our mistake. We meant well for the club etc etc lets together support blah blah blah. PS: That is if they really meant well for the club and the club well being still placed at the Top pirority. However if the sacking of sam, being a move to succeed in whatever sinister $$$ making plan they have, then........ GOD! SAVE US! the way things are going on... it is just getting from bad to worse..... Its Fu** up!
Bobby G
Dont forget Sam re-established some of the players here, and he also gave breakthroughs to quite a few of them. The senior players had respect for him. No one in their right mind would question where we are now compared to 2 years ago today! If Sam had left under NORMAL circumstances, I am sure the players, the fans, the media would not be going OTT right now. However, added to him leaving like that is the uncertainty over the way things have been conducted and the future looking bleak. Its normal for them to react this way. chaddyrovers
Yes Hughesy. We might be lucky and only have five at the exit door by 2 January if John Williams is not put back in full control. I think that they will be at least a couple of rovers best players going in January. Alot of the players were not happy about the sacking of Big Sam. Samba was really close to him and was made captain. Nelsen has been happy with his comments in the LET. John Williams should be in full control of rovers and making decisions about the new boss. Why have a chairman with all that PL experience and not used it, to help you improve the club.

The Rover of Finland
Samba might be fishing some facts what´s the plan by the new owners. Or his agent sees a chance to get some transfer money in his pockets. Players could know nothing more than us here about future. Nicko, it was just reported that Kean will be the man and Venky´s give him four new players. But the kitty mentioned there was £5M!!! Four new Keith Andrews? What are you on about? You never sent me a PM. But in all seriousness he's right and No. 1 has come out. The other well lets just say no-one has gotten him so far and he'll be a massive loss. Dont forget Sam re-established some of the players here, and he also gave breakthroughs to quite a few of them. The senior players had respect for him. DavidMailsTightPerm
I hope Samba's latest comments are made in an effort to get some answers, as well as telling the new owners that they have gotten off to a terrible start. As captain it is only natural that he had close ties with the former manager. This club, according to Samba, is quickly becoming ill. If he had not cared he would not have said anything - he would have just left. Two weeks ago I couldn't wait for the January window to open. Now I can't wait for it to shut. Strange times... Reading some of Samba's comments - personally I don't think he wants to leave, like Nelsen he seems to be pleading with the owners to explain their direction - and I get the impression also put their money where their mouth is regarding transfers in January. His transfer request seems, IMO, to be a way of trying to force the owners into this. Amongst all this we have Kean - IMO the only way he and our new owners will gain any credibility with the players and the fans is to make a major signing early in the transfer window. A signing like Boyd would simply not be good enough - we need somebody that will make the football world, players and fans think "wow - maybe these guys do know what they are doing" - anything else and we will have fire sale at Ewood, with consequences too dire to even think about.
