for those criticising Samba, please take his comments as a rallying cry, rather than just wanting to get out. This guy works tremendously hard, before the Sam sacking he never said a bad word or wanting out. 2 of our most respected players in Nelsen and Samba, have now voiced their anger, not just on behalf of the players, but everybody involved at the club. the club has been United for such a long time, the club has been stable and run professionaly for many years. in the space of a month, all that hard work are being threatened by a bunch of people, who know nothing about football.

now, who in their right mind are happy to remain silent, when the very heart and soul of this club is being threatened? the players and fans have every right, to voice their concerns and let the owners know what we think. we are not a bloody circus, we are a well run club, not Newcastleesque type run club.

im amazed that some are happy, to let things remain silent. without a voice, we will be taken for a rough ride. will you be happy then? now is the time, to stand up and be counted.

Must say, his list of signings isn't very inspiring - http://www.liverweb.org.uk/benitez.asp

He doesn't seem to do very well at uncovering raw talent for small amounts of money, most of his lower cost signings are pretty poor. If you look at the signings he made for around £2 million (surely the sort of fees we are looking at), then it is mainly dreadful;

Leto, Josemi, Paletta, Nunez, Kyrgiakos, Gonzalez...

Pointless even doing this though, no way will he consider coming here!

It should be noted that a managers input over transfers work differently in Spain... The most likely scenario is that Benitez pointed out positions that needed strengthening, and that a director of football/president/whatever decided what players were to fill those positions for him.

That being said, I think he's a good manager but can't see him coming or fitting in at Blackburn at all.

Diouf isn't leaving taken from Twitter

TheDioufy10 El-Hadji Diouf

For the twitfam asking, I'm not planning on leaving. End of!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I thought all of the players were up in arms and on the brink of leaving?

Jason Roberts must be the other one who isn't then  ;- http://twitter.com/#!/JasonRoberts30/statuses/17594705885790208

I'm glad the players seem to have a bit more perspective than a few people on here. I'm not happy with how things have gone of late but I'll wait and see what happens in January. If our new owners don't deliver, get the pitchforks out by all means but some of the rampant scaremongering going on is helping nobody.

It would be nice if more of the players were on Twitter and/or Jerome Andersson was so we could ask him if he's actually in charge of transfers rather than assuming that's the case because it's the latest popular conspiracy theory.

cracking reception big chris is gonna get on sunday...NOT!!

he is saying about the il-treatment towards the players, fans and sam as the reason behind him wanting to leave. but yet how is he treating the fans now.....not very good. i view this that he is being slightly hypocritical and eventually gonna walk out on the fans.

and while i am at it...the fee that was said about how much rovers value him at (8M quid)...don't make me laugh. he is worth double that!!

Hoping Samba's quotes are just a slightly more naive/less discreet version of Nelsen's and he's expressing frustration (with good reason) at the events of the last ten days. The nationals, who hated us under Sam but immediately took Sam's side last Monday proving their views on our little town side, have assumed he's as good as gone, when his statements can be taken either way.

If he makes up his mind to go, let him. No use keeping unhappy players, get the best price for him and move on. Richard Dunne doesn't seem too happy at the moment, maybe Villa would swap.

Bring in Taylor from Newcastle. Out of contract in the summer.

Decent shout...as is Larsson on another out of contract in summer

Wouldnt mind Ireland from Villa as its clear hes available too, and its also clear that when on form he is by far superior to any of our midfield.

Striker?? Well Im not sure on that

All we need is for fans to boo Samba on Sunday and that's another "gettable" 3 points down the drain and relegation will then be a bit nearer.

"The players and fans need answers about the club's future. Unless we commit to who the manager is, how can we attract big players in January?"

Simple - it's Kean and players will come for money. I suggest you start acting as captain and pull the team together.
