BiggusLaddus Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Someone mentioned that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St%C3%A9phane_Sess%C3%A8gnon is a little unsettled at PSG... It is really impressive that a man with no legs has managed to become a professional footballer
Roberto Policano Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 ...and that is WHY we had to be sold. Are Glover & Roberto Policano the same person?? No mate.I always "do" my homework.
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 a lot of my friends have been telling me that we are still being linked with Robbie Keane and David Bentley, but I thought that their names had been mentioned alongside Roque as Sams targets before he got the boot (which I am still riling about but as a fan I have to move on and get behind the team). But I have also seen in papers and on net that our "BIG" Budget is no more that £5,000,000 which is ridiculous if we want to achieve anything this season. Realistic targets, i feel that David Wheater would be worth a shout given that Mowbray has come out and said they are possibly looking to sell him as he can leave on a bosman at end of season, i have always rated him as a centre back he is still young and would be an ideal partner for jones in the future (if we manage to hold on to him). I would love to see Robbie Keane at rovers and also Bentley but what are peoples thoughts on our realistic targets for January? The kitty is at least £10,000,000 Here's Nicko's article pal http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Blackburn-caretaker-manager-Steve-Kean-reveals-how-he-wooed-new-owners-Venky-with-a-dash-to-India-article656479.html Wheater is a decent player and would be a good partner for Jones. I wouldn't mind Taylor from Newcastle either. Apparently Woodgate's gpoing out on loan so for a short term fix that wouldn't be bad either.

Apparently Woodgate's gpoing out on loan so for a short term fix that wouldn't be bad either. Wheater isn't what you need. Jones is seen - just now - as a midfield player and the manager said yesterday that this made the search for midfield players more urgent in the window. From what I can pick up today there could be TWO central midfielders now on the radar. Woodgate? No need. You gave central defenders of good quality. No point wasting your one remaining Prem loan on him.
John Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 From his comments, Grella, Andrews and Nnonzi were cited as long term injuries by Kean - therefore central midfield player is def on the radar.
riverside returns Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 haha woodgate , I would rather have woody from toy story, much more reliable
chaddyrovers Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 haha woodgate , I would rather have woody from toy story, much more reliable
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 haha woodgate , I would rather have woody from toy story, much more reliable If JW is fit he's one of the best in the business. But I know what you mean about reliability,he makes Grella look like a 30 game-per-season man. However if we needed a CB(if Samba goes) and as a loan signing...I reckon he would be worth a punt. Wheater isn't what you need. Jones is seen - just now - as a midfield player and the manager said yesterday that this made the search for midfield players more urgent in the window. unleaded Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Take your pick from this lot..Confirmed sightings of Rovers scouts watching these players..........But with Venkys in the frame everything might have moved up a grade.......Hope so.. Dani Osvaldo Nils Petersen Denni Avdic Erik Huseklepp Mohammed Tchite Lacina Traore Senijad Ibricic Charlie Adam Ku Ja Cheol(South Korean) Kara Mbodj(Tromso)Midfeilder Roberto Canella(left-back) Benik Afobe(Arsenal) Eric Bekoe Marcus Pedersen Fabio Coentrao Xavier Pentecote Cristian Sapunaru(Central defender) Marc Janko
John Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 How nice it would be to have some real quality in the centre of the midfield.
Amo Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 From what I can pick up today there could be TWO central midfielders now on the radar. Please say at least one of them's an attacking midfielder/playmaker?
Bobby G Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Coentrao? Why do we scout players of his calibre? Touted at 15 million Euros with teams like Real Madrid watching him a few months ago.
chaddyrovers Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Wonder if Rovers would be interest in Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel of Utrecht? Heard that Liverpool have put a bid in for him. In Holland they called him the new Van Basten. He is only 21 years old and the sort of player we should be looking at and to bring in imo!
Dunnfc Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Good Shout Chaddy. Curtis Davies... loaned out to leicester, fallen out of favour at villa who paid 10 million for him, young and english can we get hold of him and make him what he was once touted?
beerwins Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Was'nt Van Wolfswinkle playing in the champions league the other night? Cant see him wanting to come to us. Wolfswinkle Cracking name though

duffbear Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Good news check this out it appears Kean has convinced Samba his future lies at Blackburn if that is true he has won one of his biggest battles already http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/drivetime/blog/2010-12-24/exclusive-kean-new-owners-want-spend-money
chaddyrovers Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 From what I can pick up today there could be TWO central midfielders now on the radar. Hopefully a goalscorer midfield player and a defensive midfield player.
John Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Kean said on Rovers Player that we currently don't have a recognised central midfielder, so that area would be a priority in January.
Bobby G Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 He's convinced Samba to stay? Is that fact?
duffbear Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 He's convinced Samba to stay? Is that fact? Not a fact but Keen said in the radio interview he has has a chat with Samba and reassured that the club was looking to move forward and improve and since the chat has a smile on his face again so sounds good
