chaddyrovers
Rovers linked with Stephen Ireland and Jamie O'hara. both would be good signings! http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Stoke-and-Blackburn-set-to-battle-for-Aston-Villa-misfit-Stephen-Ireland-Exclusive-article656857.html http://www.fansfc.com/story/27915.html

Thought Ireland was great at City 2 years ago, looked a real talent.Alan will probably say that story is wrong in the morning. Stoke & Celtic are probably the real interested clubs. Fylde Coast Fan
No thanks on Ireland, too expensive and his head's gone. May as well buy Michael Johnson. O'Hara would be a maybe, rather take him on loan and see if he settles than risk spending the kind of money Harry would want for him.
Ricky
Kramcjaer is just the type of player we're crying out for. Could help us get the best out of niko as well. The only worry is that spurs do their usual thing over fees and demand a huge figure for him. You'd like to think we can push the boat out for a player of that calibre. philipl
Agreed Ricky, getting players out of Spurs is usually a protracted business at best- and the window shuts in just over five weeks from now. Weather has eased, full PL programme but the Sky pundits have an enormous amount of talking to do over the next week. Let's listen to what Charlie Nicholas says! Nobody spotted this from Nicko?- Oriol Romeu from Barca. Elsewhere, Everton now linked with Samba.

Wild Irish Rover
Pinch of salt anyone? Talk(@#/?)sport Bend it like Becks? Would he come to lowly Blackburn. Could we expect to see his Mrs and sons down at Primark on a Saturday pre-game? Might you be able to rub shoulders with England's most capped outfield player whilst quaffing Walsh's sarsaparilla on Blackburn Market? No, it's TalkSpurt, after all. And besides, they're demolishing the market, aren't they?

They're skint and our price is £10m. Doesn't add up, it'll be his agent trying to stir it up.
Tim Southampton Rover
Beckham to go out on loan http://www.people.co...02039-22806759/ I wouldn't be surprised to see Becks going to Germany. Bayern maybe?
Bobby G
We only want 10 million for Samba? Loan for Romeu? Cant see how he could make anything close to an immediate impact. However, Ive spoken to a friend of mine who is a huge Barcelona fan. He says he's a better skilled version of Busquets but without the maturity. If we dont play long balls and dont ask him to simply be a tackler, then he can play a role immediately. There is NO WAY they would sell him as in 2-3 seasons, he is seen as a definite starter. John
I suggested Ireland the other day - lot of players say he the most talented player they have played with. Obviously not happened for him at Villa but it has been very much stop start there for him. However, couple of slight hitches, any deal would be very expensive I imagine and could not see him wanting the move either. On the Everton/Samba link - they don't have the money for him plus Moyes said their main priority in January is a striker.

nicko
ORIOL ROMEU...a real talent...Villa were into him last week...but Rovers came in later on...it would appear to be a straight choice between the two...this started AFTER the summit in India by the sounds of it...yes, he is young and clearly inexperienced...but he can play...and Barca want him out on loan for game exprience, so you would have to convicne them he would get that...a no-brainer if it can be done...watch out for more players of that age and calibre on the manager's list. IRELAND...Celtic are favourites, but they want it done this week to get him there for the Old Firm match...so I can see that move to Parkhead fall down if the figures are not agreed fast. TRAORE...checked it out and told 'not high on list'...there is a striker who was wanted by Sam and seems to be wanted by Kean...but it is very complicated as he has a lot of agents working on the move and every one of them quotes a different price...I won't name him yet. JAL
Has everybody forgot the totally inept performance from Steven Ireland a couple of weeks ago against Rovers, some short memories on here. In any shape or form is Steven Ireland good enough for Rovers, so its come on Celtic as now thats probably about his level nowadays.
imy9
18 months ago he was City's player of the year, I recall an interview with Bellamy where he was asked which star most impressed you when you arrived at City, Robinho? Elano? Adebayor? No Ireland. He is an awesome player BUT only when his switched on and managed properly, could Kean work some magic? If he could then Ireland would be a brilliant signing. Bobby G
Ireland has had two bad seasons in a row. Thats not temporary bad form. In fact his poor seasons outnumber his one good season, so which is the real Ireland? Not worth the price tag Villa have on his head.
John
He is still only 24 I think - Ireland just needs a stable environment which he would certainly get here

Should know a bit more after today.
