Why would he join in January, if he becomes a free agent? He would be eligible to sign for us immediately.

He wouldnt be able to play until the window opened, as he was under contract with another team when the last window shut.

Strangely enough this could be a special dispensation job if they get the breach of contract line confirmed in the ruling...

Otherwise Adam would be 'out of contract' and without pay between now and January...and also unable to play.

This really is a very serious issue.

Adam is a far better option than what we currently have available but I think he is over rated personally. Seems to have a bit of the Dunny about him in that he tries stuff that he isn't quite good enough to do but comes off now and then and looks good on the TV.

Like I said though he can pass a ball which makes him exciting to us and I hope we get him.

We'd be a good option for him as well surely.

I was hoping someone could give me advice this Charlie Adam from blackpool what type of midfielder is he? I am sorry to be ignorant but have not watched him much this season. I hope he is an attacking midfielder as that is what is needed but please don't tell me he is another def. midfielder as Sam just seems to want to corner the market for def. midfielders with Goulon, N'Zonzi, Linganzi,Grella hopefully we can find a place for him in Blackburn Infirmary in January!.

He's a terrier like to sit deep and protects the back four, strong in the tackle but not the best passer of the ball ever. Has a shocking discipline record as well. He's sort of like a poor man's Barton without most of the ability.

Great long range passer and he has a pretty decent set piece in his locker. He's exactly what we're missing at the minute with out Dunn and since Tugay retired.

Don't tell poor BRFCrule porky pies you know as well as I he's a sitter like N'zonzi.

And believe me ....that is the biggest myth of all time. I have been both amazed and humbled in my 31 years living in Scotland by just how generous the Scots people are. There is no doubt that they put me and most of the Lancashire people I know to shame. And that is the plain unvarnished truth

If he is a sitter like N'Zonzi the big question is what is the point we have N'Zonzi, Linganzi, Grella, Goulon how many more is needed?. Surely Sam can see what we need is attacking Midfielders since Villanueva & Van heerden left we have not looked at one attacking midfielder it makes you wonder does Sam scout players with his eyes closed. Sam players we should be looking at Shikabala, Tsabalala etc not more sitters we have enough.

They'd be wasting their time (and money) if they bought me a dram or even a "wee haffy" as they call it, as I simply cannot stand theScottish "water of life". Sad, but true!

I still have a 25 year single malt sitting in my drinks cabinet that was given to me by my colleagues on my retirement 11 years ago.

What did Charlie Adam do against us?? Hardly set the world on fire did he!

I thought it was you that was suggesting signing him a week or so back?

I do agree though, hot and cold player but as I said certainly a better option than our midfielders it seems
