92er Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Not sure if this is exactly right But of contract in summer I think are Salgado, Brown, Roberts, Benjani, Judge, Summer 2012 - Dunn, Emerton, Nelsen, Grella, El Hadji, Hoilett Sorry if I caused confusion here-I was trying to imply Salgado's contract is up in 2012.

47er Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Not sure if this is exactly right But of contract in summer I think are Salgado, Brown, Roberts, Benjani, Judge, Summer 2012 - Dunn, Emerton, Nelsen, Grella, El Hadji, Hoilett Don't forget Mame Diouf's time is up as well. That's 3 out of our 4 strikers! How on earth is that chasm filled without a takeover?
47er Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 There's one I didn't expect but maybe his recent form should have alerted me. http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/blackburn-rovers-fc/128581-blackburn-rovers-defender-seeking-france-return.html?
Hughesy Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Sorry if I caused confusion here-I was trying to imply Salgado's contract is up in 2012. Oh sorry - 2011
67splitscreen Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 There's one I didn't expect but maybe his recent form should have alerted me. http://www.clicklanc...ce-return.html? And from the same page as yours. Plasil
AJW Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 ooohh!!..........how i wished we had more than just £5m http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_6512194,00.html
Amo Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 ooohh!!..........how i wished we had more than just £5m http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_6512194,00.html Surely that would be enough? Spurs only bought him for £1m. Would be the ideal signing, imo.
chaddyrovers Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 2 million pound for him should be good enough!
Backroom Tom Posted November 17, 2010 Backroom Posted November 17, 2010 You having a laugh Chaddy £2million? He's worth way more than that and this is Spurs we are talking about.
Ricky Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 For once on my life I agree with chaddy. They only bought him for £1m didn't they. Surely they can't get too greedy as he's not featuring down there.
Backroom Tom Posted November 17, 2010 Backroom Posted November 17, 2010 Was that not only due to Pompeys situation or his contract though? I thought he was touted around for big money a few years back
HemelRover Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I seem to remember that it was so cheap as Pompey owed Spurs money from a transfer so the money owed was deducted from what Pompey wanted for Krancar. Thats why the deal looked so cheap.
The Rover of Finland Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 If Spurs let him go cheap he can ask higher wages but probably he won´t get the same than now anywhere. Spurs wouldn´t sell him to their toughest rivals so we could have a chance. I prefer Krancjar than Adam.
BuckyRover Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 There is no way that he will be sold for £2m. Fantasy
AJW Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 personally i think £5m would be enough to buy him , the point i was trying to make was we need more than just him
Tim Southampton Rover Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 How about this player? Looks a pretty good talent!!!!
Smithy Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Linked to a full back. I hear he's not very good at staying on his feet.
bob fleming Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 LAncashire Telegraph says we're lining up Big John Carew for £3m in January.
Smithy Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Wouldn't be a bad move and with some cash hopefully left over for a central player. Sorry to hear about your fall from grace Bob, must be gutting to realise your not up to catching Eels anymore.
Hughesy Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 LAncashire Telegraph says we're lining up Big John Carew for £3m in January. ....it says a cut price move of LESS THAN £3m as he is out of contract in the summer. It also states that Ngog is being watched....then mentions that its takeover dependant & that without a takeover we would have a virtually non existant kitty! Suprise, suprise!!
joey_big_nose Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 LAncashire Telegraph says we're lining up Big John Carew for £3m in January. He would suit us perfectly to be honest. Good in the air and on feet, strong, can play with his back to goal or running at players. Main problem is that he is injury prone and 31 years old. 3m would be way way too much.
chaddyrovers Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 I think that both would be good signings. Ngog would be a quality signing with his pace and Carew is a good target man. Also with Roberts and Benjani out of contract in the summer and M.Diouf going back to Man Utd. Also think we need a another striker aswell who can play out wide to. But we do need this takeover to happen! I know that some people might not be happy about the VH group buying the club and would have preferred other bidder. But that the club and owner decision who they sale to.

Could this also be the LET telling us that the takeover is stalling??
bluebruce Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Could this also be the LET telling us that the takeover is stalling?? My thought was that it was them trying to soften the ground for supporters to favour the takeover.
bob fleming Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 It also states that Ngog is being watched....then mentions that its takeover dependant & that without a takeover we would have a virtually non existant kitty! Suprise, suprise!! aka 'business as usual'.
