RibbleValleyRover Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Osvaldo would be class signing for us!!! Too short surely for our system? Better off going for a Janko type of player.
Majiball Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Osvaldo would be class signing for us!!! If your on about the Espanyol player, then no chance.
blue/white Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 He's no Finnish-he's only nineteen. Are you chico marx in disguise?
chaddyrovers Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Better off going for a Janko type of player. maybe, wouldn't be surprise if we did sign him now. I guess he was a target in the summer for BS.
Dunnfc Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Ibrcic - hajduk attacking midfielder the new dunn! Skjelbred - Rosenborgs attacking midfielder! Annan - Could this be when we see Annan come? Chopra - Unfortunatly can see this happening if he takes up his indian nationallity. McGugan - Nottm Forest attacking midfielders and good goalscorer! 22 and english.
Majiball Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 maybe, wouldn't be surprise if we did sign him now. I guess he was a target in the summer for BS. But just like Osvaldo he's only just signed for a new club and both cost more than we supposedly have to spend.
67splitscreen Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Teofilo Gutierrez linked with Liverpool, who isn't at the moment, not having a good time at Trabsonspor, very good gaol scoring second striler, could he hack it in the Prem? Could just scrape in to our supposed budget. Also like the Argentinian, Everton are looking at Pablo Piatti, Almeria are in financial trouble and will sell anyone it seems. Please Please Please
47er Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Ibrcic - hajduk attacking midfielder the new dunn! I like the look of McGugan too and, as a long-term strategy, I think we should delve into the lower English divisions more often. Watching Burnley v Derby the other day, I thought Burnley had a few promising youngsters, particularly Jack Cork and the loanee from City, Guidetti. They are on our doorstep and the fact that they've once played for Burnley has no relevance to me. Off topic but quite impressed with Frank Fielding too-2 great saves. However this is longer-term stuff and we need experienced quality now.
Bobby G Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Osvaldo is a right winger, Italian and I think he is in his mid-20's now. Looked good at the weekend when I watched him.
Majiball Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Osvaldo is a right winger, Italian and I think he is in his mid-20's now. Looked good at the weekend when I watched him. What team does he play for?
Miker Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 So what sort of budget ARE we looking at for January? As far as forwards go, two players that I would want us to seriously look at are Guillerme Hoarau at PSG and Artem Milevskiy at Dinamo Kyiv. I've watched Hoarau a couple of times, and he's been quality. I haven't seen him for a while tbh, but I did notice that he scored a double in their last Europa League match, so he obviously has something about him. Milevskiy I want just because he's Ukrainian (as am I), so it'd be nice to see a Ukrainian at the club also, he's pretty good and could play well as a target man.
Guest Walshy Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Check this link out!!! Id have them all. Players Link
Majiball Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Osvaldo is an Espanyol player. So it is the one I'm on about then, why do you say he's a right winger? If we wanted him we'd have to part with serious money, 5million will not get him.
Roversider Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 So it is the one I'm on about then, why do you say he's a right winger? If we wanted him we'd have to part with serious money, 5million will not get him. Osvaldo is an Argentinian with an Italian passport and I think is a centre-forward, not a winger.
Jackson Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 So what sort of budget ARE we looking at for January? We won't know until Andy Cryer tells us "understood to be in the region"...
unluckymorton Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 So what sort of budget ARE we looking at for January? I think Rovers can do a lot worse than play their cards close to their chest. It's no good shouting about how much we have to spend or we'll be held to ransom. The only people who need to know the budget are the board and the management team. I think we'll get a couple of loanees in January, hopefully a proven striker as one of them, and the situation will be reviewed at the end of the season.
Hughesy Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Bolton put £5m tag on Elmander Worth a look towards the end of the window for £3m or so?
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Bolton put £5m tag on Elmander Worth a look towards the end of the window for £3m or so? There appeara to be plenty of interest in the lad, would be amazed if his price dropped to 3 mil.
Ricky Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Depends how much of a risk Bolton want to take on him leaving for free. Also bear in mind that he's been a complete plank for most of the time he's been a Bolton.
steo Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Elmander is a classy player it's just taken him time to adjust to the premier league,3 mil no chance and reckon there will be a big queue of clubs after him, can't see him at rovers.would love piatti at ewood,he is a seriously good player.
