Bobby G Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 5 million for a contract that has 6 months to run? You must be kidding me. I think 2-3 million it will be, if they dont mind losing him on a free though, that's a different story.

liam Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 SSN saying keane can leave tottingham, get him signed up!
BPF Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 SSN saying keane can leave tottingham, get him signed up! Chaddy, any news?
tony gale's mic Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Don't be silly, golfing season is long over so Chaddy's goldmine of transfer info will have dried up.
chaddyrovers Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I think Rovers can do a lot worse than play their cards close to their chest. It's no good shouting about how much we have to spend or we'll be held to ransom. The only people who need to know the budget are the board and the management team. I think we'll get a couple of loanees in January, hopefully a proven striker as one of them, and the situation will be reviewed at the end of the season. I agree that rovers shouldn't make public how much money we got to spend. Hopefully enough to sign Osvaldo with Roberts or Benjani leaving then a playmaker maybe O'Neil from Boro but prefer us to sign better quality player than him tho. But it comes down to how many is available to spend.

Charlie Nicolas said on sky this morning that kentaro and sen are going for meetings at Ewood Park this week,to see what funds are available for transfers. So we may here something about that.
RoyRover Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Osvaldo is a good player and would give us a different option up front. A creative player in midfield would be a good bit of business too. One player who I would absolutely love is Bosnian play maker Zvjezdan Misimović. He moved to Galatasary in the summer from Wolfsburg, but has had a falling out with the coach and has been placed in the reserves. The guy is genius and would make us so much better.

I wouldn't be surprise if they push Rovers to sign Axel Witsel from Standard Leige. He sign with SEM in the summer. I hope that Big Sam will have final say on transfers and not Jerome Anderson!!!

67splitscreen Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 A suggestion by some for our MF, Celtic bid for Ireland loan deal. (Mr A Nixon) A few other interesting one in the SP, Cruz 90k a week pay as you play, guess who, There having a laugh. Bullard Etc.
Backroom Tom Posted December 5, 2010 Backroom Posted December 5, 2010 Would love Ireland in the side and it could be very doable, good replacement for Dunny IMO
Commondore Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Would love Ireland in the side and it could be very doable, good replacement for Dunny IMO I don't know about that. I realize beggars can't be choosers, but between Ireland's shenanigans with his national team, his general view on football and his apparent failure to adapt outside of City I'd say he's a very risky buy.
Brownie Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 In The Mail on Sunday Surely worth a sniff at that price ? Manager David Moyes wanted to take Kranjcar on loan in January because Tottenham’s £3million asking price for the Croatian international is beyond his club’s means. Torgeir Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I don't know about that. I realize beggars can't be choosers, but between Ireland's shenanigans with his national team, his general view on football and his apparent failure to adapt outside of City I'd say he's a very risky buy. I wouldn't count him out just yet, he only recently signed for Villa. Some players take longer than others to adapt, look at Bentley for example - didn't light the world on fire during his loan spell for Norwich, nor during his initial loan for us. I think Ireland would be an excellent addition to our midfield but his fee and wages are probably pretty ridiculous so realistically we'll be looking elsewhere.

Someone call Sam. I wouldn't count him out just yet, he only recently signed for Villa. Ireland may be troubled but Sam supposedly does well with that sort of player. Look at what he's managed with EHD. And at 24, Ireland would be potentially an excellent long term investment.
Bobby G Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 At that price, he would be a magnificent capture. I do hope we move for him. He is still young, is creative, hard-working, and will have a sell on value in the future even if we want to look at the business side of things.
chaddyrovers Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Roque linked again with rovers on a pay as you play http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2010/12/05/big-sam-wants-roque-santa-cruz-to-end-man-city-nightmare-and-return-to-blackburn-102039-22761787/

Andy Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Apparently Owen Hargreaves is being free-transferred in January - if anyone is worth a gamble on a pay-as-you-play deal, it's surely him. When/if fit, exactly what we've been missing in the middle of the park...
ABBEY Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 hes more of sick note than dunn and grella put together...
Amo Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Santa Cruz, Hargreaves, Dunn, Grella, Benjani... Might as well open our own hospital ward.
John Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 It would be so nice if we could sign a central midfielder - not a youngster with potential but someone who can slot straight into the team.
JAL Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Roque linked again with rovers on a pay as you play http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/football-hotline/2010/12/05/big-sam-wants-roque-santa-cruz-to-end-man-city-nightmare-and-return-to-blackburn-102039-22761787/ Not impressed one bit with Cruz coming back he can simply go and GTF for me. Rovers should never look backwards but always forwards.
ABBEY Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 its like your mrs banging a gigalo and getting dumped and then coming crawling back to you when youve moved on.
