Ideally Kentaro would be useful allies in helping get rid of wage spunges like Chimbo, Grella etc whilst also alerting the club to taented youngstes that have on their books.

Any direct influence over transfer policy is worry, but should this turn out to just be the distancing of a manager from actual transfer negotiations then this is surely the norm these days.

New owners will mean new policies elsewise why change owners.

Not like you to follow the local papers lead.

If you have sourced information that suggests Allardyce isn't going to be given control of transfers, print that.

All I was saying is The Mirror piece reads poorly. If you disagree then fine, but there is nothing in the article to back up what you're saying, and combined with the red top reputation, how do you expect people to treat that fact?

Are you at the wind-up?

The local paper story on Monday was a follow-up to the Sunday People story eight days before. The new aspect was the meeting.

So if you are going to get wise, try to back it up with some sort of background.

Paffell, nice post first of all, but you defend one persons right to post his opinions while rubbishing another poster for his?

Surely the chap can defend himself? He was bold enough to suggest a crisis afterall.

I do not think it unfair to suggest he has an agenda, right from the top of all this takeover malarky in his opinion we could not find better owners than the trust, then Ali syed shows up promising £300 million and the tale changes. Then we get to the cusp of the venkys takeover and there are huge issues apparantly, JW will get the boot/walk out etc etc the list goes on if you have time to sift through the threads.

I think what most people, particuly myself, react to is the fact that he posts with an all in attitude. The "crisis" post being the latest.

Where is the crisis?

There will undoubtably be talks between both parties, very shortly, but there is no crisis yet. JW remains as does BS, venkys own the club and by my reckoning are asking for advice.

There is no suggestion that Sam will be forced to accept venkys/kentaro transfer policy. There is the potential for this if course, but it ain't no crisis yet.

Finally, nicko was bang on the money right through the takeover, he feels that things will come to a head shortly, no mention of a crisis though...........

Not half sensitive?

I've said your article doesn't back up the suggestion that Allardyce his going to be told he has no control over our signings.

You've not countered that by suggesting you have any evidence to suggest this. If you have, and it's been presented, I'll stand corrected.

You're article reads as gossip/rumour, not as fact, and all you've done so far is get in a huff in response to me pointing this out.

Don't you understand?

This is a CRISIS. A crisis bigger than we have ever faced before that THREATENS the very fabric of this local team.

Just asl philipl. He will fill you in (with what he read posted on another messageboard).

Oh, so this "CRISIS" the like of which we've never faced before is based on our own messageboard drama queen reading another messageboard drama queen!

Jeez, Ill just let events unfold and react when I KNOW something, thanks very much

Correct. A few rumblings of trouble, which I hope eventualy become little rumblings.

People just have to wait and be patient and watch this space. There is something going on at the club that threatens this club. There are people on this site who have heard things, that they cannot go into detail about. Even though the media, namely MIRROR amd LET, have already picked snippets up. It could be new owners pecking order type stuff. But needs sorting out once and for all, which should fizzle out. But could also be some persons or person trying to flex their muscles a little. When new people come into any business there will always be somebody who will want to try it on, get a bigger slice etc.

It is early days in the takeover - we must wait awhile.

Believe me I will be absolutely delighted and totally relieved if you are able to say I am just a drama queen this time next week.

I presume you are refering to when I mentioned in my post 'hidden agenda' from somebody else's post. I only used that post as it was in a reply to one I had written earlier - not intending to be a critic of that particular post / poster. It was though not intended to to rubbish another person post / opinions. I am not a literary expert and it can sometimes be hard to put in written word what you want to say or try to say, hence my feeble attempt.

Yes it is down to him and for that matter to defend or otherwise their own posts.

A persons use of words. Things coming to ahead can mean there was a crisis to begin with or one was developing. I may have put it as something is happening, that does not appear to be very nice. Which could have dire consequences for the club, if it is not sorted out -or in Nicko's words, brought to ahead.

What a day this has been and we are only half way through it. I have been ranting, debating / talking with people all day. On here, at meetings etc etc I have been to 3 wine testing sessions, cancelled this afternoons one. It is my birthday and all I want to do is get away and have a pint or two or three before my wife and others drag me out to go to, wherever they have plotted to take me.

There is a meeting...fact.

The main topic at the meeting will be what money is available and who is having the say on signings...fact.

How you 'read' things is your problem.

Right, so nobody knows one way or another... 'fact.'

But from this the headline "Sam Allardyce on collision course with new owners" was fathomed.

Surely he can't be on the 'collision course' until the details regarding transfers have been made clear to him?

I called this 'sensationalised.' Am I wrong?

What are you chuntering on about?

There are new owners, who have new advisers who want to do things differently.

Anyone who follows your club closely is aware that both the manager and the chairman are a little bit unsettled by all of this.

How the **** do you think the local paper came out with their version of the story the other day? Their card is usually well-marked on such subjects.

If it is all too much for you to take in, then fine.

Like I say, your tune has changed. Pre takeover you suggested that everybody knew they had a 'different approach, but that that wasn't a bad thing.'

Now it's happened it seems to be a little better as far as the headlines go to put a negative slant on things as opposed to the reality, which would read "Sam Allardyce to meet new owners to discuss transfer policy."

If you're suggesting that the new owners have mislead the current board and manager in negotiations then please indulge, surely that'd sell a few papers?

You can huff and puff and make slights at me, but it doesn't alter the facts.. i enjoy your contribution and value your presence on the messageboard, but you can't have it all your own way. I question the boldness of your claims when considering your past comments and current lack of presented evidence for your claims.

Again it surprises me after your past comments about the local paper that you're giving so much credit to their story yesterday, which had as much written verification for the allegations made as your piece did.

I COULD GO BACK AND CHECK WHAT WAS SAID AFTER I BROKE THE NEWS OF KENTARO'S INVOLVEMENT. BUT SADLY I CAN'T BE BOTHERED. IT WAS ALWAYS PART OF THE VH AND KENTARO TICKET.

Now it's happened it seems to be a little better as far as the headlines go to put a negative slant on things as opposed to the reality, which would read "Sam Allardyce to meet new owners to discuss transfer policy."

IT'S NOT NEGATIVE. IT'S REALISTIC.

WHAT? THE NEW OWNERS MISLED THEMSELVES? YOU SERIOUSLY ASKING THAT QUESTION?

PRESENTED EVIDENCE? YOU STILL HAVE NOT GRASPED THERE IS A MEETING GOING ON IN INDIA AND WHAT IT IS ABOUT...HAVE YOU?

THE LOCAL PAPER TRIED TO PLAY DOWN KENTARO'S CONNECTION FROM THE START. NOW THEY HAVE FOLLOWED UP A STORY IN THE SUNDAY PEOPLE. THEY WOULD ONLY HAVE DONE THAT WITH OFFICIAL BLESSING OF A SENIOR FIGURE AT THE CLUB.

I'm bored now, I'm sure there's people who agree with me, and people who agree with you.

Your piece presents one fact; that there is a meeting in India discussing the transfer policy. The rest you've decorated yourself.

OK guys. So there is a meeting in India with Kentaro - who will advise Venky's of their available signings presumably. Why isn't that meeting happening with Sam present (Ewood would make sense, you know, where the football club is)?

Anyway, the conversation could possibly go something along the lines of: -

Venky's - "Sam, Player X is available, we can get him."

Sam - "He doesn't fit in with what I'm looking for I'm afraid. I'm not interested."

Venky's - "Well Kentaro say he's a really good player and..."

Sam "I don't want to sign him. I want to sign someone else"

Venky's "No, we've spoken to Kentaro and they advise us that player X could be worth a considerable amount of money in a few years."

Sam - "I doubt it, he's hopeless. Look, am I the Manager of the football team or not?"

Venky's - "Well to be honest Sam...."

Sam - "Sod this for a game of soldiers."

Would you bet against this happening anyone? Why would Kentaro and Venky's waste their time otherwise. Would Kentaro fly to India for a pointless meeting? Why would Kentaro waste time and money speaking to Venky's when in reality the man they need to convince, as is the general rule of thumb at the moment (i.e. when it works best), is the Manager of the Football Club.

The day Blackburn Rovers stops allowing the Manager to Manage is a sad day. (I don't include spending money we haven't got in that equation - something that Sam is well aware of and has been since the day he arrived I'd have thought).

I can only see trouble at t'mill.

I think the situation is being blown well out of proportion by the sensationalists amongst us ;)

Does nobody think that this situation wasn't discussed at the most initial meetings between Rovers and Venky's?

I can't imagine the club was sold with the situation of 'who's has the final say on transfers' up in the air...

I never used the term "just a drama queen" so please don't misquote me. I wouldn't use "just" in that sense because there is far more to you than that Phil - anyway, enough about your favourite subject!

Everyone on both sides of this arguement need to chill.

In reality all we know is that there is going to be a meeting between Venkys and the group who have advised them the whole way through from the start of the take over until now. This can't be the first meeting between the two groups and I would guess it won't be the last. As to the point of the meeting only those directly involved know right now but I would guess that both sam and JW will have a similar meeting to get their points of view across.
