The other midfielder is an old favourite. Foreign. Been mentioned before.

The trialist attacker is at another club just now. Been around. No mug.

Got to say that before the Kentaro meeting in India this week the word I was getting back was that 'there would not bemuch spending going on.'

So Big Sam isn't the only one seeking answers this week...it should all be very revealing.

On trial at another club?? or is contracted to another club?

I know. Palermo has done some pretty good deals lately. Ilicic, Bacinovic etc. Slovenia is the place to go when looking for football players!

How much would Wolves want for Matt Jarvis?

Certainly is mate,a hotbed at the moment,Sinisa Andjelkovic is joining Palermo too in January.Inter,Milan and Genoa after Enej Jelenic at Koper, only costing 800,000 Euro's, is cheap market too.

Forgot Rajko Rep too,who was linked to you last month.

No idea on the cost of the other fella.

anyone got an idea how much benfica would want for him?

Napoli & Schalke were told 20 million Euros in the Summer.

With a bit of help from google translate, Santos website says he has gone there, no idea on the fee though. Would have been an awesome signing.

Fee was £2.5 million in your money, few Serie A sides interested, but none bothered in the end.

Rijkaard & Neeskens meant to be going to Ajax.

Juventus trialing a guy called Deniss Rakels in January(another guy from Lavtia, striker, only 18 i think,Only costs 250 euros, meant to be a talent,One for your Youth side maybe!.

I can only assume you're in someway referring to mine and nickos discussions today; If so please quote the posts where I've 'abused' nicko. I've been very respectful throughout, whilst questioning the article he wrote published today.

I feel I've been well within the bounds of decency as I've done so, I just feel needless negative press is what we need at the start of a new era for the club. Especially when the negativity is brought about with so little given substance.

There might be something in what nicko has suggested it, but he hasn't presented any information that has satisfied me to think that this is definitely the case.

Spot on....

I've had a brief read of the past few pages and I'm confused. Is Sam being dictated to by Kentaro/Venky's or not, or do we not know yet? The Mirror article written by Alan Nixon being discussed (who I assume is 'nicko' on here) states that Sam is "on a collision course" with the new owners and the contents of the meeting are known to involve going over Sam's head and forcing signings on him. So I was hoping that S15's probing for more information would result in that smoking gun being revealed that shows Kentaro are going to ignore all of Sam's wishes/suggestions that the article implied....

But all nicko has replied is that there is a meeting happening...so what? If Kentaro and Venky's haven't had a meeting before I would be seriously worried and there's no reason (from what I have seen so far) to assume the meeting is about how they will ignore Sam as a scout for his own club. If nicko is privvy the meting (maybe he can morph into a fly or something) and he knows the content then fair enough, but tell us that's how you know. All I've heard so far is

"There is a meeting" from which it seems nicko has extrapolated that the meeting must signal Sam being shut out of the transfer process. If there is evidence to back that claim up (other than the fact a meeting took place) then fair enough.

It reminds me when someone at work gets called in to see the boss, everyone else assumes they've done something wrong and then the specualtion starts of what they have done wrong; but in reality they could just as easily be given a pay-rise.

From my reading of whats been said, written etc we know Venkys are having a meeting with Kentaro to discuss transfer targets.

What we dont know, and is being assumed is how much SA has been envolved so far and how he feels/will feel about this.

So, to continue the assumptions and scenarios here is my scenarios.

Venkys meet with Sam first

Venkys: So Sam. Lets discuss transfer targets.

Sam: Ok, ive got a few ideas of my own but im interested in who Kentaro have on their books, who are they suggesting?

Venkys: Oh, we dont know. Lets meet in a few days once theyve supplied us with a list.

Venkys meet with Kentaro first.

Venkys: So Sam. Lets discuss transfer targets.

Sam: Ok, ive got a few ideas of my own but im interested in who Kentaro have on their books, who are they suggesting?

Venkys: Certainly, here is a list and player profiles.

The above is less sensationalist and racey but isnt it just as valid now, seeing as the meeting hasnt actually happened yet?

Falcao looks like he's turning into an awesome player, I think he might show up in the PL sooner or later. It would surprise me a lot if it was in a Rovers shirt, though...

Perreira might be a good shout. Work permit wouldn't be a problem as he's played a good number of Uruguay's matches in the past 24 mos.

Never been a big supporter of Falcao... chippy little @#/? but I've lost touch as the Portuguese league is difficult to follow over here.

heck, even Saviola has 'disappeared'.......

The guy I'd like is Jose Sosa, went to Estudiantes on loan from Bayern and I've lost touch w/ him as well... but a good box to box type and a nice dead ball striker. (plays the #8- right midfielder). great upside on him.... he's lost his way a bit at Bayern but i'm certain he can come good at Rovers' homey atmosphere.

Signed for Napoli in the Summer mate.

Just now, an article containing only conjecture and rumour has just appeared on this site masquerading as news.

I think there are ulterior motives at play.

Who benefits the most from anti-Venky sentiment?

I think you will find that it is from someone else with knowledge of the situation who is aware that the meeting between VH and Kentaro is pretty significant for all concerned.

There is a window a matter of weeks away and the nuts and bolts are being discussed, involving the agency who have been side by side with the new owners from day one.

It really is as straightforward as that. I don't think there is any anti-owner agenda here. It's just a fact.

Been a crazy fall for me, robto. How has jose taken to serie a? Has he shown anything of what I was chuntering on about? Did Napoli bring him on to replace Datolo?

He comes on with 20 minutes left most games,Looks good technically, but hasn't set the world alight yet.

Same with Hassan Yebda,he ain't done much either.

Is it a fact that Kentaro/VH will assign targets and ignore Sam's opinions/wishes?

Is it a fact that the meeting will ensure a collision between the owners and BFS?

It's those two thing that are worrying Rovers fans, we all know and accept that a "meeting" took place (btw calling it a 'summit' was OTT unless Kentaro or Venky's have any heads of state amongst their ranks) what we don't know (or have prove of) is what was said...

Well..... that's more than Van Gaal did for him. A shame really as he seems more mature than your normal

argentine starlet type. IMO, he migrated to Germany much too soon as it really delayed his progression--

turning down down a loan offer did not help his cause either.

Midfield player:- any chance of it being Micheal Bradley who is a box to box midfield player.

I think that Big Sam should have the final say who we sign NOT Venky's or SEM/Kentaro. But there is nothing wrong with Venky's meeting with SEM/Kentaro to see who is available on their books or suggest names to Big Sam for positions that we need to fill! But we do need a striker with Premiership Experience tho.

Also do we know who was at the Meeting that took place??? How do we not know that John Williams and Big Sam was not at the meeting via video link or by phone?

I do hope that Venky's are not thinking of binning Sam and appointing some sort of "yes" man who has no real power and just tries to train a bunch of players that Kentaro cobbles together. That won't work.

I feared and commented on the same thing months ago Bryan.A 'puppet' manager who would not oppose their team selections. It almost appears that Venky's and Kentaro are conspiring behind Sam's back...I do hope I'm wrong,he doesn't deserve that.

There may be trouble ahead folks!

btw....a big YES to Robbie Keane. :tu:

Kentaro will be putting names forward. You can take that as read. It is why they are involved in the process - and the purchase - in the first place.

Whether the manager is happy or not with that plan is down to him.
