This is all very worrying.

The new owners barely have their feet under the table and already there is talk of deals being lined up without consulting the manager.

Keeping Sam Allardyce at this club is far more important than a few big-name signings to please the vanity of the owners and supporters. .

If Allardyce were to leave I predict relegation, maybe this season but certainly not next season.

Corrected it for you :).

No they won't. Kentaro are doing everything above the managers head, against his wishes and to the detriment of BRFC because our new owners are chancers and have no idea.

That's right isn't it everyone?

(Not aimed at you nicko)

There's no smoke without fire.

Since your in crusade mode fancy getting yourself down to one of the following:

Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cheltenham, Coventry, Exeter, London, Plymouth, Sheffield, Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, Worcester and Warwick.

The students could use your support.

Ireland would be a great buy, but wages and his ambition maybe beyond us.

Bellamy would also be a great buy if the manager played him correctly, as would Bentley, but his ego is too big to make the switch back.

So that’s:

Irleand

Bellamy

Bentley

Thanks very much, then I woke up......

Are people talking about the Ireland who played for City or the Ireland that has played for Villa this season? Chalk and cheese in my opinion, he doesn't seem to want to be there, he doesn't put the effort in and it shows. I can't see how coming to us would change that.

I'm for the changes to student fees

From his comments on Sky Sports (when he was a pundit) a few weeks back I could never see Bellamy returning.

He enjoyed his time here but very much views us as "small time" (from his perspective). Probably ditto for Bentley.

Well said, although Bentley is more likely than Bellamy. Bellamy has the talent to play at a top team, and the current situation at Cardiff is only because it's his hometown team, in my opinion he's good enough to start for City, but that's another story.

Bentley....well he's not got the track record that Bellamy does, he's never really cracked the big teams so if wages/fees could be agreed upon and if both sides could put the past behind them then I think there's a semi-realitic chance of it happening. Big ifs though....

Yes thats the man, box to box midfielder with a few goals in him, needs to get his head together and return to the form City fans saw a few seasons ago.

Probably out of our reach though.

Sure Harry said at the weekend he wants at least 8m for Bentley, I'm sure we could find someone equally as good for that sort of money, with a clean slate included.

With the news of a "name" being sought, throws all sorts of players into the mix and if true it sounds like the Raos are prepared to splash the cash on either the fee or wages for a loan. They obviously see the profile of their accusation needs raising to show they mean business and no doubt bring in some tasty sponsorship deals, bit like what Jack did bringing in Dalglish.

MR, X,Y,Z is going to be crazy this window if true.

He has been poor by his standards, at the end of the day he was the pawn in Milners pay day, so perhaps it was a move he did not really want.

Oh well, looks like he doesn't want to leave the bright lights of Cardiff and the big time Npower Championship! :xmas:

They might want a name. I'd prefer a couple of guys who could play decent quality football in the positions we need strengthening. Success is the criterion most of the kids I work with look at. Success attracts bigger names; big names, as we see at other clubs, don't automatically bring success. I know my opinion counts for nowt, but, even if in your dreams a player like Messi(I know it's totally impossible but I use the name just as an example) were to come, he couldn't do it all himself working with some of the players we have now.

Sam's problem is that, in the new owners' eyes, he's not got the strongest case on spending their money.

"He brought in 3 right backs? How did that work out?" "Well, one has gone already, one has been told to eff off and the one who stayed is 35 and will need replacing soon anyway"

"Hmmm. OK, so how did that big money signing work out?" "A goal every 8 games and sitting on the bench"

They are hardly going to just send over a large cheque.

I also suspect the advisors have marked their card that they are going to have to establish early how they want the relationship with the manager to work, otherwise he's going to tramnple all over them.

All true but this a different (kettle of chickens) type of owner who has a brand to promote (Venky's) a big name signing gives them the credibility they seek in India, supporters, sponsorship Etc.

As Ms. Desai said winning is not everything, scary.
