chaddyrovers Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Rovers linked with the Newcastle left back Jose Enrique. Would be a good signing! http://www.clubcall.com/blackburn-rovers/boss-alerted-to-toon-stars-unease-1131644.html Also Bentley would be a class signing and could play the david dunn role and on the winger!
RoyRover Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I don't see Bentley coming back. He was certain he was on his way to bigger and better things when he left for Spurs. He isn't going to want to come back, knowing that everyone knows he failed and should have stayed. Plus a transfer fee and his wages would be a problem too.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 What about Bentley on loan until the end of the season? Better than what we've got at the moment that's for sure.
philipl Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 The Bentley article in the LT is too detailed for it to be anything but a serious possibility. This paragraph in the same article is interesting: "Reports suggest senior figures at the club have expressed concern about the standard of players being recommended by Kentaro, but it remains to be seen who will have the final decision over incoming transfers." There is one significant difference between press communication under the Venky's compared with the Trust. We don't even get denials of stories now!
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Would prefer SWP on loan tbh So if you had a choice of Bentley on loan or SWP on loan you would pick SWP?
Bobby G Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Bentley and Keane would be a great double signing from Spurs.
AJW Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Yes , apart from the fact that i think SWP would be better suited to the wide right position in BFS formation than Bentley ,i think he's a better character , more a mature attitude and i see no future in a loan or permanent move for Bentley , he would be back down south the first opportunity he gets
nicko Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 Bentley and Keane would be a great double signing from Spurs. You would have to buy one and loan the other. Total cost of that would be astronomic - and on two players who are on the wrong side of Ambition Hill. Think you will find the captures are of younger and up-and-coming players. Watch this space...
Bobby G Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Bentley could still have his best days ahead of him especially for a midfielder. Keane on loan wouldnt be bad.

Robbie Keane first!!! Then we can sign younger and up-and-coming players. Any names yet? Denni Avdic?
Majiball Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Does anyone know if kentaro represent any brazilians???
nicko Posted December 9, 2010 Author Posted December 9, 2010 Robbie Keane first!!! Then we can sign younger and up-and-coming players. Any names yet? Denni Avdic? STRIKER...still looking. MIDFIELD...think they have a top target...waiting to find out how far it has gone. Think the manager was 'upbeat' about the news from the India meeting. There will be money. Now it's a case of all sides coming with names. Game on. Does anyone know if kentaro represent any brazilians??? I believe one of their 'branches' does... Why? Have some landed at John Lennon?

There is one significant difference between press communication under the Venky's compared with the Trust. We don't even get denials of stories now! To be fair, it's the LT's stories you want to be taking note of more than any others - they have genuine sources at the club and are massively more reliable and accurate than the red-tops. Don't get why the LT gets the grief it does on here.
beerwins Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Does anyone think Sam is feeding lines out to the LT about players who he thinks the fans would like to see to get the fans behind him so he does'nt lose control over who is brought in? We seem to be linked to a different decent player everyday and my guess is we will end up with the usual dross.
chaddyrovers Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 STRIKER...still looking. MIDFIELD...think they have a top target...waiting to find out how far it has gone. Think the manager was 'upbeat' about the news from the India meeting. There will be money. Now it's a case of all sides coming with names. Game on. Is the midfield target overseas or from Britain? Good news that Big Sam was upbeat about the meeting and that they will be money available! It's been nearly 18 months since we last sign a player for a transfer fee! that bloody long time tbh!!!
Majiball Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I believe one of their 'branches' does... Why? Have some landed at John Lennon? Aye, one of them was a bit goofy and overweight. Was just curious since they do most of their friendlies I was wondering if anyone knew if they'd picked up any players from it. The only news I can provide you with today is that Joan Angel Roman is going to be a very good player.
Gav Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Think the manager was 'upbeat' about the news from the India meeting. There will be money. Very positive if correct.

Don't get why the LT gets the grief it does on here. The big exclusive about the meeting in India and the transfer crunch talks had actually been in the Sunday People red-top and 'broken' by Charlie Nicholas on Sky. If you mean 'already been out' rather than 'reliable' then I would have to agree...
S15 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 So Sam isn't on 'collision course' with the new owners?
imy9 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Nicko- the fact that we are looking at younger players is away from what Sam was thinking and saying about purchasing an experienced striker, do you think Sam is happy with this or is simply following orders?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 When you say there is a 'top target', do you mean it as in 'we have a list and this guy is top of it' or 'this guy is class innit, well top'?
67splitscreen Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 The only news I can provide you with today is that Joan Angel Roman is going to be a very good player. Traitor. CV not good enough for Brockhall.
