Isn't SWP a kentaro player? Nicko stated the target was not on Kentaros books, so that would seem to rule out it being him.

Maybe bring him in as well..........?

It will most likely never happen, but signing a player of serious calibre ala Anelka at Bolton as a one off would do wonders for every aspect of our club. If the new owners want to create a positive impression of their tenure something like that would shut up everyone, within and outside of the club. Players would be seriously lifted, fans would be buzzing and if we could sit in or around 8th come January who knows where we could finish.

Sam's dead right to call for a Gala signing and I hope they support his wishes in that aspect as I honestly think it would galvanise the club once more. I guess given Nicko's comments that the owners do see the positives in what Sam has said (as he's now talking about good money available), now I guess its just about defining "Gala".

And I'd still have DB here in a heartbeat. :P

Reading between the lines, Sam seems a tad more settled than a few days ago.

Vibes are that the supporters will be 'pleasantly surprised' with the transfer activity and the 'not much money' is a 'smokescreen'. Any views on this Nicko given the targets you are aware of ?

Had to chuckle about Sam's comments on Guti today...

That must have been yet more red-top speculation.

Strange comment - the interest in Guti was confirmed by both Sam and Salgado at the time when he was a free agent, so it was never a case of guess-work in this instance.

The interest was real and the sticking point was salary - Guti wanting upwards of £40k, which is the range we weren't paying in the summer.

Whether or not we are now is something that is only known by people with a genuine knowledge at the club - ie, Chairman, owners and Sam.

My oh my. There is some terrible tripe about...

BENTLEY...when you find out who the target is you will realise why I don't see Bentley happening...

Is it because the target is another of Spurs players, Kranjcar maybe, and its a loan deal? And the reason then that Bentley is a no go is that Bentley is also a loan and you cant loan more than one player from a Premier League club?

From the MLs perspective, I doubt he moves anywhere. the Gal-ladies are sick of Goldenballs and Landycakes running all over the world during the off season, and having their own team suffer for it. And I don't think they particulalry want to sell either one. I'd be vastly surprised if either one moved on this MLS offseason.

And you cannot have 3 loan players at any one time- we already have Diouf.

Depends if we keep him dont with have option to extend in Jan and Man U have option to recall him?
