That was my thought's, Sam gets his striker, move Diouf back and bring in two loan MF players.

Harry says "ya buy one ya get one free, yes ya by one ya get one free.

But that would put him back in the wheeler and dealer category and we all know what he thinks of being called that.

Boss Sam Allardyce admitted he would be interested in signing Robbie Keane or David Bentley if they become available in January.

He said: "If Tottenham say that Robbie Keane and David Bentley are available then you are always interested in quality players. If they are, then I think we will be one of many, many clubs in the Barclays Premier League who would be interested.

"I have identified some targets and some talks have started - I've discussed it with the chairman and he will discuss it with the new owners.

"It's just a question of how much, that's the key element because there are various targets at various prices and we will not rule out a loan signing either."

Robbie Keane would be a quality addition to our team/squad and a massive improvement on what we have got. He works very hard and could also play the Dunn role very well.

As Sam has said, there will be a few clubs in for him though.

How would people feel if we were to approach SWP, now that Citeh have told him he can leave in January?

Not impressed with him one bit; never have been. All he can do is run!!. Can't cross accurately; very rarely scores, one footed, bounces off defenders..... Nahh!!

I disagree. I think he sometimes looks out of his depth playing for England or City, but I think he would shine in a team like ours.

I would prefer a loan move with an option to buy.

He is fair game. though.

My oh my. There is some terrible tripe about...

TARGET...the 'midfield' player is a goodie...no idea if you can land him...but there is a will from the manager...and there is money from the owners...and he is NOT a Kentaro player for the conspiracy theorist.

STRIKER...still up for grabs...plenty of names coming up...plenty of names being looked at...but as of last night there is NO striker that far down the road to Ewood.

The point seems to be lost that - at the moment - it is a case of [1] the owners coming up with good money which they seem to be promising and [2] who can find the players to spend it on - either the manager or Kentaro.

This is a new process. The manager seems to be calm about this now which is probably because there is money to spend which should help him after two years of famine.

There will no doubt be much screaming and questioning when players actually start signing in this window. It's what some people do.

It will also be revealing about the political state behind the scenes.

But the bottom line is as long as they are good players who gives a stuff how they get here...

I think that the Midfield target is overseas, probably from Europe!

Wonder if we are could be interest in Cluj striker Lacina Traore?

Tell you what Ronaldinho on a free, even at 141,000 a week is one hell of a deal, if you can get in his head. Hows Cassano coming along is he any nearer to joining Rovers??? lol.

I've always liked Adriano he's one hell of a player provided everything is right.

Obviously some good deals to be had out there at present, I wonder if Kentaro could have a word with them?

by 'provided everything is right' meaning nary a bottle of booze or prostitute within 50 miles???? Adriano's an ex player, no thanks.

Pablo Aimar would be great !!

Between Santa Cruz, Grella and Aimar we might see the Physio go on strike!

Aimar's past it.

Riquelme

Diego

Mohamad Zidan

Thiago(Barca youngster) on loan

Aimar

Juninho Percambucano(sp) i know he is old, but great free kick specialist

Tuncay sounds like the one, like it or not.

Is he a 'goodie', better than Bentley? Not so sure considering how he has lost his way in a (similar) team like Stoke.

And Iccers:

Riquelme is sadly past it.

Diego is very good.

Mohamad Zidan is more of a striker/forward than a midfielder.

Aimar not updated on him other than that he's at Benfica with Saviola, but a cracking player on his day.

Juninho P. is definitely past it, but would probably score until his grave due to his freekicks.

Thiago and Defour both allegedly exciting players, but haven't seen much of them.

No, Tuncay isn´t better than Bentley. Not even close. I hope he isn´t the one Nicko meant.

Aimar is playing for Benfica bit I think he lacks speed to play in premier league.

Miguel Veloso was transfered to Genova and is now a first team player.

Moutinho was the transfer of the season in Portugal. Sporting Portugal sold him for 10 million € to their rivals FC Porto which was a very bad idea (FC porto is unbeatable this season) It's definetly a player I would like to see play for Rovers.
