Thanks for the info, more speculation to follow ..............

Do we know the volume of those shares, however small they may seem?.

A walk in the park no doubt. ;)

I think the Trust own something like 98% of the shares.

Somebody else could probably explain the situation better than me-I think once a company own more than 90% of the shares, they can make the other holders an offer they have to accept, otherwise their holding might beccome worthless. So they might not have to make a written offer.

Good. I never said he did. Just highlighting to the negative nancy's that it's not all doom and gloom.

It seems to me that even the likes of Chelsea and all their money are not prepared to go it alone ........... Webb ....... " I see that. Over the last 12 months I’ve been to see a lot of the big Indian companies, a lot of seriously big companies and everyone gets football and they understand where it sits in the hierarchy of global sports—it’s No.1! They also understand that if they wanted to launch into it tomorrow they won’t get returns."

If seriously big companies don't see a return for a few years, where does the revenue come from to support Rovers? I don't see how a few more Venky's chicken sales will sustain our appetite in the Premier league .

Plan [a] .......... without Kentaro's alleged influx of players it all seems a bit daunting to say the least.

with the new rules coming in from uefa about finances from 2012/13 it not going to matter how much money VH Group have got but how much money comes into the club from sponsorship and marketing. Owners can put some money but not the vast amounts that man city are doing now!! Cheslea have stop spend more than they received in marketing and sponsorship. man city will have to stop spending vast amounts of money.

VH Group will need to have a very good marketing plan for us to bring alot more money and get us better sposnorship deals than we got at the minute. if you don't comply with UEFA new finance rules then you cannot play in european competitions.

I don't understand why people think we are going to spend millions of pounds in transfer. VH Group plan to invest 5 million pounds in January and 10 or 15 maybe more millions in the summer is sensible with the NEW RULES COMING IN FROM 2012/13 season!!!

A "drag along" then, majority shareholders sell forces minority to sell. Circa £400-600k to the minority then.

Chicken feed, so to say. ;)

I'm not sure that's going to be an issue for us

Interesting to hear about Allardyce being worried about his job,I did mention about Kentaro wanting their own 'puppet manager' in place! :glare:

Replace John Williams? a man who has done so much to help the club and appears to be in touch with the fans?...replace him with Indias own 'king of bling' Balaji Don King Rao who knows sweet FA?

All this speculation/disruption as we today fall into the bottom three,I hope to god I'm wrong but I fear this season is going to end in tears.

It would be an issue, as other clubs would have to balance the books too, this would level out the playing field a little, a good marketing plan could take us forward quite a few steps!!

The conclusion NOW has to be a big NO to the Indians, leaving the trust with some big decisions to make regarding immediate investment, in that the trust either take us down or stump up some money...O, the joys of being a millionaire !

None that I know of nicko but my point is, do you think you would hear early if the deal came off the rails ?

I don't think there are any problems that have come up today.

The VH people came and went, the club wants to sell to them.

The early word was that it would be completed this week...so I suppose every day that goes by will spark a new scare story. It could do with being finalised fast.

One look at the table confirms that.

Sorry Nicko, it would be a disaster selling to these guys end of.

Championship football would be better than these guys.

Personally, I think Balaji looks like a Bollywood Richard Gere myself.

I am not going to post what a friend who met him described him as!

Incidentally if you watch the Match of the Day re-run you can see a blue divider directly behind them. In other words they were in the Rovers' private area but sat as far away from JW, Sam and the Rovers Directors and families as possible.

They were fully 15 rows back!

Talk about "you are here but we wish you weren't"

Huh? Where does the reasoning come from? Honestly one of the daftest statements that I have read on this message board.

What sort of ridiculous blethers is this now?

The Indians and their mates were in the director's box - two rows from the front and maybe two rows from the chairman and manager.

Where do you get this crap from?
