What sort of ridiculous blethers is this now?

The Indians and their mates were in the director's box - two rows from the front and maybe two rows from the chairman and manager.

Where do you get this crap from?

The phrase "making mountains out of mole-hills comes to mind".

Huh? Where does the reasoning come from? Honestly one of the daftest statements that I have read on this message board.

Its only daft to the blinded ones who want to fall into bed with an Indian Imy9.

How anyone could think any of these Indians are right for Rovers, I, have to ask, what sort of a Rovers fan are you to want an unknown foreigner to come and takeover Rovers, a business that is COMPLETELY alien to them ?

Reasoning, would have thought Philipl along with a few others have provided more than enough info for you to reach the same conclusion Imy9.

This guy is unbelievable...the people were there, welcomed, said cheerio to...I made a point of checking...and yet he comes up with this tripe.

There are many relevant questions on the whole issue.

But this half-baked rot just gets in the way.

Have to say, one thing that does sit uneasy with me is the prospective new owners leaving the game early (75th minute I think a few have said, 60th someone else said). We were playing the champions at home, the score was 1-1, they were at their first ever game (in some opinions, second game in Nicko's opinion),they're spending £46m to buy our club - all this yet they leave early and for a PRIVATE JET home. Just seems very half-arsed to me.

I am not going to post what a friend who met him described him as!

Incidentally if you watch the Match of the Day re-run you can see a blue divider directly behind them. In other words they were in the Rovers' private area but sat as far away from JW, Sam and the Rovers Directors and families as possible.

They were fully 15 rows back!

Talk about "you are here but we wish you weren't"

Your reputation is ruined. Its a shame because when Syed was around you genuinely seemed to know what you were talking about. That post is bordering on pathetic. You dont want this takeover to happen clearly, but at least come up with something better than that.

Yeah we probably shouldnt sell to them because they left after 75 minutes. Thats financial sense. 85 minutes minimum for a new owner. In fact, only when a new buyer is dressed up as Roar and throwing the towel to Gamst on the touchline at every throw in does he become a genuine candidate.

So instead of being encouraged that the new potential owners have attended at least 1 game, you're actually focussing on the issue that they left before the end of the game.

We were too spoilt with Jack Walker. Owners like him do not come around twice. Some people need to realise that.

There's no reasoning here Jal-----just plain old prejudice. Just remember that Philip wants to sell us to another and even more unknown Indian won't you?

Calm down, I only said that I thought that if they had flown over all the way from India to watch our game, they could at least watch it. They are buying the whole club this week. I know when I come over to Ewood I try not to miss a second of the experience, but hey I'm only trying to get my £30s worth of ticket price. Just an observation, not a reason not to sell to them.

Dare I suggest there seems to be a little bit of a xenophobic flair to that post JAL? I'm not sure their nationality is of great importance - we're not going to get another Uncle Jack, and it's not like the British have a moral superiority that would automatically make one a better owner for our club. I don't think core English and Indian business ideals are different enough to warrant targetting nationality - both ultimately want success bred from wider exposure in relevant markets. An English owner would likely be looking to use the club for personal gain in the same way an owner of any other nationality would.

And before anyone mentions the Trust as an alternative, they don't want us.

Aye, xenophobic to have concerns about your club being potentially sold down the river. xenophobic to see the tentacles of agents all around the deal. Xenophobic to have major worries about what they actually want from us.

The fact Syed was Indian didn't come into it, he was probably full of sh!t, but the fact he spoke about the club as a hobby and did not expect a return on his investment made people rest slightly easier.

Nobody, from BPF to Bryan to even poor philipl should be berated for being worried sick about our club.

Sorry again philip1 but that is terrible. Maybe they were sat first of all because they knew they would have to leave early, which they did.

I know a very very rich man and women (hate football and footballers egos etc) who I drink with, check out / test various wines for them etc ( a casual interest I bumped into). But they are the most down to earth people I have ever known. Not flash, don't demand the best seats - don't even want them to be honest etc. drink and mix with those with nothing. Dress in T shirt, jeans etc. They consider themselves to be nothing but people with money in the bank. The money, using their words, is something they are privledged to have, but does not make them any better than any other person and it does not make them live. You cannot buy decent humanity.

Never judge a person as to where they sit, eat, live, dress because often - and at times we all make that mistake - judge on what you see as often you will be wrong.

Ironically I have known them for so long and been friends with them for as long as I can remember and yet I know they could be pay cash to buy Rovers. There attitude is that they would rather pay double to a nurse, dustman or a person who works down a sewer etc - more than a footballer gets in wages.

Last winter they joined the down and outs living rough on the streets, no media cameras etc for over 3 months solid. They got each person off the street etc etc. A comment they said to me was, we have just met people, real people who don't even have a mask to wear.

Do not judge by sight alone.

That applies to sparky marky also.

The Riversiders get enough stick, what's wrong with sharing it around.

Anyway, I'm sure another hour would not have caused a problem with air traffic at Blackpool. A flight out of Heathrow to catch, their excused, just like the Riversiders catching the 4.45 into Blackburn. :)

I know where the box is and how large it is Philip but they weren't at the back of it.

Spot on Ricky, I don't know where he gets his info, or makes it up for that matter. I sit 2nd row lower tier as centre of the JW as you can get and i turned round just before kick off and pointed out two chaps to my Dad that I thought could be the VH guys, and indeed turned out to be. They were sat 2nd row from the front of the upper tier as central as you can get. Now i'm no expert on where the directors box is but to suggest they were stuck out of the way or miles back is more silly talk from someone who's hysterics get worse every day.

Calm down mate, I appreciate the issue of race is a sensitive subject for you but you've gone off on one there for little reason.

I felt JAL's post had elements of xenophobia that were unneccassary. I wasn't 'berating' him for being concerned nor did I suggest people shouldn't be concerned, in fact my post implied that any new owner will likely be looking to use us for gain. That extends to Venky's, Syed, and whoever else is interested in us.

I just don't think nationality needs to be targetted specifically. Indian, English, Russian, Austrailian or Samoan, the motivation will be the same. It's the nature of business.

Hold fire, eh? I'm as concerned about the future of the club as anybody else.

From the photograph in the Sunday Mirror it would appear that they were sat in front of the club President Keith Lee and his wife so I don't think they were too far away from club officials.

I'm assuming you are talking about posts I've made on ICBINF, if you recall RACE does not matter one iota to me, but thanks for the not so subtle smear.

The fact these bidders are from a business culture so massively removed from Premier League football does not sit easy with many on here, the fact that Kentaro seem likely to be big players even more so.

But yeah, a Little Englander like me would like to stay with the beloved Trust.

The reason they were sat where they were was because there was various talks going on during the game, whilst they were at ewood. In case they were wanted / needed for face to face talks, or talks that could not be done via mobile, and in hearing of other etc etc etc.
