This has to be the worst one you have come up with yet, a mixed bag of speculation and rumour to incite fear, it’s like reading the Daily Mail!

It’s a shame as you were a decent poster, Alonso and Middlesbrough for the champions league aside. However you have lost all objectivity and have zero credibility left.

Very, very harsh.

I think if you talked to a lot of rovers fans they would very likely admit to having serious concerns. Those concerns are quite valid as well, since there has hardly been anything that could be seen as really positive come to the fore - as yet.

MODS: could be a good time now [seeing that we are probably a week or two away from the deal being done] to have a poll?

Something along the lines of "how do you feel about the proposed takeover by VH". "very worried" "quite concerned" Quite optimistic" - that kind of thing.

The results would be interesting.

My company's office in Manchester is a refurbished chapel, and it used to be a record studio for years with Rick Astley and Kylie Minogoue recording songs here... so now we got a meeting room called 'RICK' and a meeting room called 'KYLIE'... ridiculous I know, and cause for a fair few jokes!

That kind of poll would be a sensible one I think. I don't think there are many posters here who have no concerns whatsoever. It's just the fact of changes, if nothing else, that scares us. However, to stand still is to go backwards and we can't afford to do that, so if this is how it's got to be for us to have any chance of competing then, whilst i won't be buying a shirt with a chicken logo or calling the ground anything other than Ewood, I will still be there supporting my team.

From what I've read, Den, there's a number who simply have no idea what a takeover involves. So I doubt a poll would give us any useful information.

People from Vh no doubt monitor this board Mum. It would give them some indication of how much, or how little they have to do, to get the fans on their side.

Apart from that, we've all read Quotes and articles in the local media, so while we're a long way from knowing their real plans, we do have some idea of the kind of set up that will be involved - Kentaro and all that.

Plus, run another poll after VH have taken over and hopefully explained their plans, to see if they've persuaded anyone on here. It would be interesting, if not really representative.

Dunno, the poll on blackburnrovers-mad is currently at a 65% approval for the takeover.

Andy Cryer on Twitter now saying it should happen by end of the month.

Even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Isn't this what the LT stated when they wrote about VH leading the chase for the club. We have all seen Venky's themselves claimed they hoped it would be done by today - as has been reported. If the buyer says Thursday I would be very disapointed if the paper ignored that. Seems they were wrong though.

The LT are just sticking to the timescale they have been given which is November.... Don't see what it matters though as nothing can be done until January.

Right so you don't want the takeover to go through but are moaning at how long it is taking?!? Surely you should be happy that the club is obviously making 100% sure that the deal is right.

The Liverpool deal went on for quite a long time, wasn't the initial interest about this time last year when the debt problems first emerged. The saga rolled on for nearly a year with NESV doing a fair bit of work in the background and then just going public towards the end.

Well when Sam gets sacked I am sure you'll be happy with the new owners.

I get what you are saying but hasn't any confusion come from Venky's saying they thought it would be done today and Rovers obviously, correctly, disagreeing. Isn't two weeks by the end of November anyway? I was expecting it to be done today because Venky's said it would be so Im glad someone has told us it is still on track but not expected yet.

Who cares anyway? It is obviously going to happen but I am more worried about getting three points against Wigan Saturday. Now that is crucial!!!

Two weeks end of November? Mate it's the 4th today.

I don't mind them passing on information, but when they constantly pass on conflicting information it becomes annoying. Just say it's on track once and leave it at that. Is that so hard?
