jumpin'
If any new owners are daft enough to believe this would happen then its a case of God help us! I am only forwarding what I have heard. Do not shoot the messenger. It was put to me that Blackburn Rovers will get over 100 000 'fans' on the sub continent within a week of the proposed takeover. In the gentlemans words 'because that is the way over there'. The loss of fans was quoted at 6 thousand with the general hardcore at 14 000. I am only posting what I have been told, the gentleman has no motive for misinformation.

Backroom DE. Posted November 4, 2010 Backroom Share Posted November 4, 2010 Doesn't seem to be much point in gaining 100,000 fans and then proceeding to ruin the club?

With the greatest respect, until you can authenticate this info it is merely unsubstantiated rumour and we have heard plenty. Those who have always opposed any sort of takeover in the blind faith that the Trust will suddenly do a complete U-turn, will seize on it. Most won't get distracted though. ada2020
Surely if we acquire an extra 100,000 fans in India then there would be no need to raise season ticket prices? Why lose 6k fans in the stadium to aquire 100,000 fans that will never enter the stadium? Said it before, tripe!

If I bump into him, I'll ask him to confirm everything I have relayed. I know the trust wants rid, but at what future cost to the club? I'll offer the open question, if the Rovers declined and relegation hhen stagnation came, would you still go & watch the boys? And if not, why not? Balwer
All due respect jumpin but we regulars are fairly skeptical of any poster with no real history who suddenly appears with these little tidbits. One little bit of information that makes me a little more cautious is that a certain poster named spansterkid viewed your profile about a week ago. That may be a coincidence, but what you're saying certainly echos his own views.

jumpin'
Indeed, a dingle in disguise. I have had a season ticket since 1983. I am 35. My great grandfather played for the Rovers in 1895. My immediate family have links to the Rovers since it's conception. I am passionate about my club. Save your digs. And if you want my seat number in N02 and customer number, you are much obliged. sjsbrfc
I've been told by somebody who's neighbours cousin once played a reserve game for Rovers, that as soon as the club is sold Brockhall will be made into the worlds largest chicken feed plant! BPF
When I was first told about VH, I was told that the Trustees were aiming to have the deal completed by the end of November. I hear that there is the possibility of it happening sooner but as Nicko says, this will be down to the lawyers now. Jumpin's posts are so far wide of the mark that they made me laugh. I would loved to have been at the meeting when VH said: "We intend to use Blackburn Rovers purely for our own gains, we'll be looking to get rid of them as soon as possible." nicko
"once the bank gives the green light and the funds are released"!!!!!!!!!!! Spotted that and had a smile. The conspiracy theorists will be on overtime with that one... I do wish these people would shut up and get on with it rather than making daft and ambiguous statements. This has got to be their money, but they could do with stating that and stop fannying around with talk like this. A fortnight more of these blethers and untold damage could be done at all levels. BPF
Asset stripping, quickish sell on, hiking of season tickets, development on sites within the Rovers land structure!? Anyone else heard this? The trust are selling basically because they do not care. From what I have heard today, I feel sick. All due respect Jumpin' However: Asset stripping? Selling the steel back to the Walkers? Hiking of season tickets - It doesn't really make sense to do this. Seats are worthless if noone is sat in it. If VH decided to do this though, I'm sure that most fans wouldn't complain if they showed that they are looking to improve the squad. I appreciate you posting things that you have heard, I have heard a lot that I have not put on here, it is worth thinking about how possible something sounds before opening yourself up to the lions in here.
