neekoy Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Cook states England also doctor the pitch: http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/england-doctors-pitches-cook-20101221-193wr.html Perhaps you should have a chat with the England vice captain, to let him know such statements dont suit your agenda. Hahaha, that is classic, what makes it sweeter is Cook is Jim's poster boy. If they are doctoring picthes between innings then I can see a problem but preparing a pitch before a ball is bowled is part and parcel of home ground advantage. Everything started so nice on this thread but a little pressure and the cracks are starting to appear in the English board members facade.

This is an fans' messageboard for an English football club. You are a guest here. Please remember your manners.
SouthAussieRover Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 This is an fans' messageboard for an English football club. You are a guest here. Please remember your manners. Point taken re the football. The rest of your statement is irrelevant.
jim mk2 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 as are you Jim. Neekoy contributes little or nothing to Rovers topics and takes particular delight at England's football and cricket failings. I repeat, this is a fans forum for an English football club and he should remember his manners. .
Flopsy Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 The oval pitch was so doctored in 09 that England scored 300+ twice & Australia once
jim mk2 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Michael Vaughan in mischievous mood. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-1341021/Michael-Vaughan-insists-Australias-batting-worst-memory.html

What a load of tosh, thankyou for enlightening me on the value of my contributions to topics in the other forums. This football club happens to be supported around the world Jim, even god forbid by convicts... mind my manners....thanks pot.

Hughesy Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 58-4 at a early lunch thanks to the rain!! Come on England!!!
Exiled_Rover Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 98 all out. Merry Christmas This is an insane series.
T4E Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 England 103 without loss in reply. Men against boys.
American Rover12 Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Wow, out late one night. Come home and all this has already happened. Crazy.
Ricky Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I think England just about shaded today's play
LeftWinger Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I've just got 7/4 on England to win the Ashes at bwin.com. They're about 1/2 everywhere else, it's obviously a mistake. I put £20 on, got a free tenner bet too, so £20 returns £82.50. Got to be worth a bet!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 I love how the 85-90,000+ crowd attending the game today totally disappeared as soon as the Aussies were bowled out for 98 and England took control. The stadium was practically empty whilst England were batting.
