Syed Ali Withdraws From Takeover Process

STATEMENT FROM AHSAN ALI SYED:

Ahsan Ali Syed announces that he has withdrawn his interest in acquiring Blackburn Rovers Football Club having not received sufficient cooperation from the club's representatives. He remains committed to acquiring a leading football club should the right opportunity arise but in the meantime wishes Blackburn and its fans well for the future.

Ahsan Ali Syed said: "I was very excited about the prospect of acquiring Blackburn Rovers and am obviously disappointed with the outcome but I would like to thank all the fans for their support in recent weeks."

Mr Syed is not available for interview and will not be making any further comment at this stage.
