Iceman Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 So ive bought an Lcd tv, ive now noticed finger prints and a few smudges etc on the screen. Because its not mounted, im guessing my son has done a bit of exploring. How can i clean the screen, without damaging it. What do i use, what kind of cloth and what else? Thanks Isgak

Tango Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 We use this - http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Isopropanol_cleaning_fluid_1.html - at work for cleaning LCDs. Just use some lint free cloth or similar.
brian_gallagher85 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I've always found a damp window cloth to do the trick - one of those shamy leather type ones.
dave birch Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Take care when using Isopropanol, It's almost pure alcohol, and very flammable. Make sure your TV is switched off when using. I use some stuff made in China that appears to be water based. and is very effective. Don't ask me what it's called, in the years I've had the stuff, I've never been able to work out it's name. It was probably translated into ten different languages and then English. Try your local computer/TV store.
Hughesy Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Washing up liquid in a bowl of hot water...just throw it on the screen...should do the trick
