RoyRover Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 The importance of this game cannot be stressed enough. This is a must win game, against a side we should be beating. If we can't beat the likes of Wigan at home, then I don't know where we will pick up points from. We played well against Chelsea last week and deserved more. I'm convinced that we will win today. We've had some disappointing results at home this season and we need to get a long awaited win.
Iceman Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 5-0 win for Rovers. Benjani with all 5. Come on Banjoni!
BigJackWalker Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 5-0 win for Rovers. Benjani with all 5. Come on Banjoni! Woooooo go benji
blue/white Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Surely Jisty's had an early start on the sauce today!!
blue/white Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 D'uh... Scratch that. .make that -Iceman. I'm gonna have to wake up a bit b4 commenting!
Dan Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Must win game, obviously. If we don't won today, other than the league position, I think the players will start to lose confidence. Last weekend must have been soul destroying for them, I know it was for me. To play so well and throw or away late on, after we really should have made it 2-1. I'm feeling optimistic today! IF Sam sets us up to play like last week then we will create chances. We need to take them. I think we'll be ok in defence, but we can't afford to not take our chances like last week. 3-0 Rovers. Samba, Jones and M Diouf.

joey_big_nose Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Latics: Al Habsi; Gohouri, G. Caldwell, Alcaraz, Figueroa; Diame, Thomas; Stam, Gomez, N'Zogbia; Rodallega Subs: Kirkland, Di Santo, Watson, Boselli, Moses, S. Caldwell, Cleverley Blackburn: Robinson; Samba, Givet, Nelsen, Emerton, Hadji Diouf, Pedersen, Benjani, Salgado, Jones, Biram Diouf Subs: Bunn, Dunn, Kalinic, Hoilett, Goulon, Roberts, Chimbonda Likely that we are set up like this:- ----------------------------Benjani EH DIouf-----------Pedersen-----MB Diouf ------------------Jones-------Emerton Givet------Samba---------Nelsen-----Salgado ------------------------Robinson Outside chance we will go 442 with Emerton down the right, Pedersen central and MB Diouf partnering Benjani up top. ps. Utterly bemused by Pedersen playing. He has been abysmal last three games.
Doaksie Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Happy to see the same 11 again. Don't let the big man down boys. That Wigan team looks absolutely shocking. If we can't beat them at home I really fear for this season.
Mr. E Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Nice, Dunn and Kalinic on the bench. Up to Samba to get us the goals I guess.
Dan Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Nice, Dunn and Kalinic on the bench. Up to Samba to get us the goals I guess. To be fair though, Niko hasn't looked like scoring and Dunn was a liability last week.....
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Looks like we are playing a more direct game than we did in the first half against Chelsea, whether it will work or not let's wait and see.
Mc Love Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Should see the amount of racists that are watching the feed!! Good start - end to end stuff. Wigan are poor
ben_the_beast Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I don't think the ref has given us anything so far
adopted scouser Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Should see the amount of racists that are watching the feed!! Good start - end to end stuff. Wigan are poor ?
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Wigan are just missing that quality in the final third, they seem to be able to get through our midfield quite easily but can't produce that killer ball to create a chance. Benjani off Roberts on.
Dan Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Roberts looks to be coming on Benjani injured again??! I hope he is definitely on a pay as you play!
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Wigan walking through our midfield. What the (Please don't use that word again) is Pedersen doing?
