MarkBRFC71 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Why do we not have a bloody go in these games? We all know if we try and defend we are almost certain to lose, so why not attack? Sunderland won 3-0 at Chelsea, and after the match Bruce said they went 4-4-2 because it was not what Chelsea would expect, and everyone else tries to keep it tight, go 4-5-1 but still loses. Today's game was a write-off anyway - we should have gone 4-4-2 instead of the usual negative, predictable system that almost always fails against the big teams. 3-0 - could be a total embarrassment by full time.

Mr. E Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 This is one of those halves where the away fans need to be allowed into the changing room to explain exactly how they feel about this performance to the players and the manager.
booth Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 If you're going with the intention of getting beat why not go for them. Ffs!
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Chimbonda just proved why he should be sold....3-0, game over & stream shut down! Thank god i didnt waste £42 a ticket there... Feel for the fans who have paid £42 plus travel costs to watch this complete dross. Gifting United the three points.
Steve Moss Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Chimbonda has been consistently poor, though he has had a (very) few good moments with the Rovers which distracts from that fact. His contract should not be renewed. Instead, we should buy a proper left back.
beerwins Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I dont like to see a player on his debut being took off so soon, major confidence dent for him. He never should have started at Old trafford, just too much for him, bad decision by Sam there.

Reminds me of the bad old days with Sam, when we'd capitulate games before we've even kicked the ball. I'm hardly surprised we're getting trounced with the midfield on show. Why didn't we at least play Hoilett to give us an outlet? We should have thrown caution to the wind and just given it our all. I'd rather take a drubbing knowing that we gave it a good go.
brfcmad1979 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 ###### poor!!! Chimbonda is a bloody liability
Balwer Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Our first truly poor performance of the year. Let's just get this over with.
Doaksie Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Get Chimbonda off, bring Bunn on. Might need 2 keepers today.
hollowsr Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Chimbonda got an assist But oh sodding dear, in my view Give is either fit or not, so if he's on the bench he should be playing. Chimbonda is a woeful defender!!! I know we don't have many other options but I'd rather see Emerton or Jones play at left back instead.
The Harwood Yankee Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 If Sam had no intention of going for it in this game why not just do a Holloway/McCarthy and stick the reserves out? They cant have done any worse than this sham!
Mr. E Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Cant wait for the over-reaction on here on how Sam should be sacked & that we are going down!! what. the. hell. We are being hammered 3-0, not even half an hour gone, and the "optimists" are already warning against anyone feeling negative about this game. Some of you people have an abysmally low view of our club.
Daremz Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 If Sam subs Goulon because he wants to play more attacking, that's the most worst.sub.ever. And let's sell Chimbonda ASAP. I hope India is watching, this is ridiculous.
cesus Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Let's be honest, the defence have had no help at all from the midfield. Jones has been as effective as Goulon ... Take that as you will.
Amo Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 This is exactly why Chimbonda is a liability. Too many headless chicken moments in his game, even if he does give us more going forward than Givet. If he ends up earning a new contract, I'll cry.
Daremz Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Get Chimbonda off, bring Bunn on. Might need 2 keepers today. Agree.
Backroom Tom Posted November 27, 2010 Backroom Posted November 27, 2010 Chimbonda just proved why he should be sold....3-0, game over & stream shut down! Thank god i didnt waste £42 a ticket there... Cant wait for the over-reaction on here on how Sam should be sacked & that we are going down!! You have to admit Sam has got it stunningly wrong today? Not that it would have mattered too much Also let's not make a scapegoat of Chimbonda we were down and out before he added to it.
Amo Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 You have to admit Sam has got it stunningly wrong today? Why? Hughesy hasn't before.
Rovermatt Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 I despise United and despise seeing them beat Rovers. That's them clear at the top now. Arrrggghh.
Balwer Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 That's them clear at the top now. Chelsea already conceded tomorrow's game?
Steve Moss Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 We are being hammered 3-0, not even half an hour gone, and the "optimists" are already warning against anyone feeling negative about this game. You have to admit Sam has got it stunningly wrong today? The game isn't over yet. Let's discuss the tactics and team selection when the match is over.
Hughesy Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 what. the. hell. We are being hammered 3-0, not even half an hour gone, and the "optimists" are already warning against anyone feeling negative about this game. Some of you people have an abysmally low view of our club. No im warning about the over-reaction to our entire season/ team/ manager based on ONE game.... Today is awful no doubt about it...im not denying that, but SOME of that anger has to be aimed at the players, not just the manager....of the 30 odd mins or so I watched, I think Roberts touched the ball probably twice & like someone else said the defence is wide open thanks to no support from the middle.
