Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 The illusion of the players we have been linked with was just that. Those were the players SAM WANTED. Not the owners. Owners like good ol' "quality" like Geovanni and Kris Boyd. Spin that now.

47er Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 You've missed the point. Nicko said the original 5M promised for transfer in January had been significantly revised. In the context he wrote that meant upwards. I'm asking HIM for a clarification!
Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Nicko thought what he thought cause of the players we are being linked with.
alexanders Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Interesting angle from the Guardian. Fairly plausible. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/dec/13/sam-allardyce-sacked-blackburn-rovers? Very interesting article and as you say it very plausible.
mckenny16 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I know how many strikers we need An interesting note to finish on from that article.
PAFELL Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 The illusion of the players we have been linked with was just that. Those were the players SAM WANTED. Not the owners. Owners like good ol' "quality" like Geovanni and Kris Boyd. Spin that now. Rovers signed nobody in the summer - not brilliant players. But better than nothing if we had signed those two in the summer. Sam gets the best out of bad players.
Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 PAFELL, you must wear spectacles made out of rainbow colors cause despite all the facts on the table, you see the bright light somewhere!
daveoftherovers Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 An interesting note to finish on from that article. Agreed: "Desai may have made an overnight conversion from hard-core cricket fan to football expert but, as she recently said: "I know how many strikers we need." Note the plural; Allardyce tended to field only one" Take it we will see 2 against West Ham then?
Olveres Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 The Guardian article has left me feeling less pessimistic. This woman doesn't sound like the sort of individual who fails. Time will tell.
