Sorry to hear about your grandad Hughesy. Was he the one who got Salgado's picture at Northcote?

This and Paul's plan to walk in from Withnell Fold reminds me of my grandad. He's long gone but used to tell me that in the 30s he usually only had enough money either for the bus fare from Bamber Bridge or the ticket for the game, so he used to walk it to Ewood, some 8 miles each way.

Football Focus has just reported that the police are happy with surrounding roads so the game will be on.

Hurray! Now we get to hear Dennis Wise, Lee Dixon and the Preston Hairdresser wade in about Rovers.

Will we still be last on Match of the Day?

I reckon you might be as high as second on MOTD. :)

Damn you Bill. ;)

TV crews set up at every single game, and I dont think there's a chance that they arent at Ewood Park already in advance.

They tend to get there the night before.

But it was bad last night too. Big HGV style trucks with the equipment/galleries in. They've probably made it, but it's not a certainty.

I was just on soccer saturday, when they showed Kalinic scoring against Villa in the cup and they showed the fans, I was the one at the back in the dark blue away kit jumping up and down going mental! :xmas:

Already seen Ewood live park on BBC, they are there alright.

How is the sun out at Sunderland with no sign of snow at all when almost all the games all over England has been called off?

Since Coyle became our manager we have our own weather system which follows us around spreading sunshine across the land.

Personalised isobars.

Simples. ;)

Why are they calling it off a day ahead of schedule? Things may get better by tomorrow, couldnt they?

I doubt we will see much if any protest today if the game goes ahead. People will be busy keeping warm I'd say. I hope there is a decent atmosphere at the game though. Players need it.
