Yeah, WTF is that.

I want to know a damn sight more than that.

I have a feeling we're going to become a laughing stock

im not sure what else they can say, "we have sacked sam, free back rub for anyone worried"?

they feel that sam ambitions dont match theres there ambitions before where stated before.

so what where sams ambitions for rovers?

Just arrived back from a function at Ewood this evening. Plenty of players and Ewood hierarchy there (but not JW). What struck me from looking at the body language of these people was the genuine shock of what has happened today. This worries me. It felt like the layer of people who have run this club so well in the past decade or so have been metaphorically castrated. The power base has shifted to some faceless office block in the capital. As I came out of Ewood I looked-up to the giant Remembrance Day Poppy still hung on the side of the Darwen end and the Ewood Remembers roll of local men killed in both world wars ... and I thought ... Who will be responsible for the little local touches like this .. when we are being run from the capital?

Wrong. I was told via PM about a week ago that this was to happen. when I checked my PM's after reading your post. I found the date when I was told that Sam may well be sacked - it was the 6th december 2010. The same message said JW as well.

As to who told me, that is confidential as I promised the person who told me. Their choice to confirm or not.

I was PM'd after the united game by several posters on this site who all said he's going to be sacked, doesn't mean a thing really does it? just guess work PAFELL.

Nobody knew he was going to be sacked until today, especially TGM.

Since when have any other club told the fans about the in depth running of their club before making it official? Also we're one of the only clubs in the Premier League not to have made a "snap" decision regarding our managers up until today.

I'm not interested in the in-depth running of the club. I just want proper communication from the owners.

Endorsed by the two quotes below.

Let' see who they appoint first eh.

I was still in shock after yesterdays loss, now this.

Why the hell didn't Venky's have a statement ready, are we the fans that unimportant?

Oxymoron. Run by morons in my opinion.

Everything the new owners said about respecting the traditions of the clubs has lasted no more than 3 weeks. Whats next ??? Mrs Desai had better bet getting her PR experts and engaging with the fans and players asap.

I haven't voted in the poll because I want to vote for all three. That sounds ridiculous but that's how I feel. Therefore, voted for none. It's called an abstention, I believe.

Where was John Williams??? Somebody did say on another website that JW was showing Martin Jol around at Brockhall training ground. don't know whether this is true but only putting on here what somebody put on that website.

OR IS it that he has had enough of this and is ready to step down as Chairman. That would be massive blow to the fans and the club.

Until something happens it remains speculation. But a week after I was told this was to happen - it did. Yes it could be guess work, maybe not. I am not in the position to know either way.

I was told after the wolves game - when Rovers won.

It would be good if there was a not sure vote. i also have not voted. The reason being, Iwant to see what the owners do next, in appointing a new manager.

And Sir Alex on Sam Allardyce being sacked by Blackburn: "I've never heard such a stupid decision in all my life. It's absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't like to follow him."

I don't normally agree with SAF but I do on this!!! The decision to sack him is disgracful and STUPID!!!

I’ve supported this club for many years now, from the dark days of the old third division to the glory years in the 90’s. Never have I felt more disheartened than I have this season under Allardyce, I can’t help that, its just the way it is, and many more in our circle have been feeling the same.

People on here are drawn to the negative comments, but ignore the praise I personally gave him at the end of last season and in some part this. He did a great job keeping us up and played some decent stuff towards the end of that season, giving youth a chance was also great to see and his transfer dealings I was looking forward to.

BUT:

This season we’ve not progressed, we’ve gone backwards, and that’s the reason why I personally am delighted he’s been sacked. If we’d have given him a few more games, that would have impacted on transfer dealings in the January window and the owners wouldn’t allow that and I applaud them for that.

Ewood Sparks post hit a nerve with me, I think allot of what he says is valid, but for now I think they’re doing ok, lets see what happens.

On a brighter note, 5 of us are now looking forward to some away games for a change again, after our self imposed boycott under “No plan B Allardyce”

Exciting times

Suprised nobody has mentioned about West Ham odds today....around 12pm today the odds for Sam being next West Ham boss dropped from 30s to 3/1....Something must have been happening there.

Hope Venkys clear it up tomorrow.

For now - Thank you BIG SAM for all your hardwork, you did a very good job with an awfu position when you took over. Now hopefully we get the next appointment right and the manager brings in a new style of football

Whilst it may have been a shock I am not in the 'sky is falling' camp just yet. Lets wait and see who we appoint before we hit the panic button.

I am thankful for what Sam did for the team but if Venky's are all about the publicity machine and building our brand you can see why they would have doubts. Big Sam talks complete ###### alot of the time in press conferences embarrassing himself and us. He also has given us a somewhat effective style of football that has made us bordering on unwatchable at times. Neutrals turn the tv off when we are on and fans of other teams compare us to Stoke. How is that going to win us new fans.

What ff say Martin Jol comes in. Is handed 20-25 million to play with and starts us playing football again. Might help...

I am absolutely shocked at our very own fans - who somehow think we are the latest Newcastle United now. The outrage against the timing of the sacking I can understand - I will not understand the absolute rollocking of the new owners when they have shown a clear statement of intent. Be patient, and lets get geared up for the ride - instead of having mobbish kneejerk reactions.

Thank you Big Sam.

We will keep punching above our weight - and deservedly so.

so harsh considering we were the lowest spenders in the transfer window, good footballers don't grow on trees, had we won Sunday we would have been 6th or 7th.

I think we'll just have to get used to the idea that our owners don't give a flying one about the fans who attend Ewood. We have ceased to be a local football club and become a brand. Our season ticket sales only add up to the wages of a couple of top class players.

Since getting to be known about as potential buyers, every part of their PR has been fourth rate and they talk about exploiting the brand throughout the world (look at the Venky's website FFS!). Today they've made themselves a laughing stock in the UK. Heck, Mike Ashley has more class than them.

Why the hell do they think spivs like Jerome Anderson and Kentaro know more about the English Premier League than Sam Allardyce and John Williams.

Even the RFW (probably the most respected manager in the game) is aghast.

I think there's definitely more to come.

John Williams won't have endorsed this decision to sack BFS and I don't think he's the kind of bloke that will play the role of a 'yes man' for Venkys/Kentaro.

That leads me to think JW will be gone tomorrow as well.

If he does, the mind boggles at where we'll end up.
