I think we all need to back Venkys. Would you really buy a football club for £43 million, and then let it crash and burn? Us Blackburn Rovers fans seem to enjoy holding onto the past. We should be embracing the future! We need to give them time. There are to many people on here saying that we are a in turmoil? They have owned us for just over a month, and for people on here saying we are the new Newcastle, They have sacked one manager, who clearly they did not like. If they carry on with this policy, then it will be warranted, but not now! Give them a chance to show us what their plans are for Blackburn Rovers.

If at the very least JW has been in some serious talks with the Chuckle Brothers then hopefully he'll have some input into the recruitment of the new manager. I can't think that JW would stay on at a project where Maradona is the manager, that'll go far beyond saving. At least if we get someone like Jol in it'd be doable.

Everyone i spoke to last night was over the moon with the sacking. It is just the timing of it that i find strange.

So out of 12 people i have spoken to 12 wanted him to go. Thats 100%. Thats my poll and is probably the most accurate one around.

Well I spoke to around the same amount of people- all ST holders and they all were gutted. So, two contrasting outcomes there!

i must say Nicko - contrary to what his sisters statement says, I find it very difficult to believe that they would get rid of Sam without someone to come in quite quickly. Kentaro and Jerome know football, and what the lead up to and over Christmas can do to define a season, and therefore fnd it strange to believe they would be advised otehrwise. I am not sure how good English the Indians speak, but there may be some ambiguity over language translations from not speaking with a native English tongue.

My view, I am shocked by Sam`s departure, but before gettign on teh Rao bandwagon of mob haters already, I`m more than willing to see what their plan is, who they bring in, what business is done in January, what football we play before making a decision on whether it was the wrong or right choice. I think the main issue as a fan over the whole soap opera scenario that has been unfolding in the last day or so, is a lack of clear communciation to the fans on what their busienss plan is and development plan for Rovers - with that communication, it would help a lot of fans understand the rationale behind the decision making.

He's also adamant, by some mysterious portal into the minds of our owners, that Sam's sacking was down to tactics rather than the transfer/Kentaro issues which had been documented by numerous sources both before and after Sam's sacking.

Finally, he's claiming that most Rovers fans want this sacking. Despite the poll on this forum and the poll on the LET website. Maybe the majority of Newcastle fans were happy with Pardews appointment too!

I remember Nicko saying that some of the Trustees still lived locally and I believe the phrase he used was something like: "They won't sell to a bunch of numbnuts" (please correct me if I'm wrong).

This move has surely been pre-meditated and they must've had this in mind when they were still negotiating because it fits to a certain model (raise brand awareness, get a big name in, play attractive football on a poultry [sic] budget).

So, if that's the case, did they let the board in on what they intended to do when they came in, or did they conveniently neglect to menion it? I mean, that's something that you would mention isn't it? "Big Sam isn't the kind of manager that fits our desired profile for the club, so we'll bin him no long after taking over."

That would've set alarm bells ringing for the trustees surely. But then the signals coming out of Venky's have been confusing to say the least, so maybe it wasn't mentioned.

No, i'm not happy with how it is and has been handled, but i'm now thinking that i might actually look forward to going to the games now instead of knowing we were going to be subject to dross.
