King Kenny's Magic Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Jones is not a Kentaro client. He is not getting the job. Kean has got it for now. And Diego can jump on board if he fancies it. I'm quitely confident with this Kean chap as head coach...watch this space! Heard you on Talksport today Nicko. Have you lost any brain cells after talking to Porky Parry?

BigJackWalker Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 well we're f##ked lets rally behind the team they'll need our support
beerwins Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I think you might want to read Mrs D's comments again... Kean is your manager for some time to come. If he gets the results he will be, if we nosedive dont be so sure. There are plenty of fans not happy at this situation already.
SamTheShrew Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I think you might want to read Mrs D's comments again... Kean is your manager for some time to come. How does this play out with the quotes that they have contacted a chairman regarding another manager? seems odd to say we want your guy, but not for a couple of months, how about it
farhanology Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 How did the negotiations with 'an employed manager' go?
BuckyRover Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I have been supportive today but I do agree that it does sound a bit odd. Maybe the club in question won't entertain an approach until the summer. Sven?
chaddyrovers Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 This is Stupid situation now!!! We sacked a Excellent Manager in Big Sam and replace him with a novice manager but good coach in Steve Kean. Nothing against him! We look a joke of a club!!! WE WANT BIG SAM BACK AS MANAGER!!! Hope the Big Sam haters are happy now!!!
roversam Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Kean depends on results if we win a few and do ok he will stay. A couple of defeats and he will be gone.
RevidgeBlue Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 How did the negotiations with 'an employed manager' go? I didn't necessarily read the piece that way. It could easily have meant that they had discussed it with Chairman Williams.

John Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Kean depends on results if we win a few and do ok he will stay. A couple of defeats and he will be gone. Do you think it is a good way to manage a football club being so results dependent?
nicko Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 How does this play out with the quotes that they have contacted a chairman regarding another manager? seems odd to say we want your guy, but not for a couple of months, how about it I think someone misheard Venkatesh Rao. He said 'the' chairman and not 'a' chairman. The chap is not the clearest of speakers, I have to confess. Having said that I can;t remember any Trustees having the balls to go on radio and explain what was going on for the previous decade or so.

Hope the Big Sam haters are happy now!!! Hang on, you don't speak for all. Whilst Sam had his qualities, he also had his faults. I think JW/Finn remaining is far more important than BFS still being in charge - the shining light to come out of this badly handled episode Now what's done is done all I want is stability/continuity and some sort of plan to take us forward. However, The new manager certainly needs to be someone who can fit in with the 'wider plans' of taking us to the next level
RevidgeBlue Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 WE WANT BIG SAM BACK AS MANAGER!!! No we don't. Stop jumping up and down and being a drama queen and posting in capitals and making yourself look foolish.
John Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Having said that I can;t remember any Trustees having the balls to go on radio and explain what was going on for the previous decade or so. Anything which gets Venkys PR will be good for them - no one heard of them previously so this will be giving them some exposure.

roversam Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Do you think it is a good way to manage a football club being so results dependent? Nope its not. While we are safe from the drop the club have time. If he start dropping like a stone then the club will have to act. It sounds to me like they wanted shut of Sam but dont really have a clue what to do now. Nicko is there any chance diego wants to get involved

Hope the Big Sam haters are happy now!!! You are under 18 aren't you? What have the 'Big Sam haters' got to do with his departure? We were more of a joke after the United result than we are today, most neutrals are glad Sam has gone and wouldn't want him near their club. What often happens after someone is replaced is people over egg the old regime, lets not forget just how drab it has been at times (as previously said I don't agree with the decision due to the timing at the very least) If Kean does well then keeping him on and bringing in Maradonna as a figurehead could be a masterstroke IMO. Also does every one of your posts HAVE TO CONTAIN A STATEMENT IN CAPITALS?????

ChesterRover Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Too many conflicting stories doing the rounds here, my head is battered! Kean is in temporary charge yet this could be 2 months or to the end of season? Jol is bookies favourite yet we state we want a young forward thinking British manager? And now I just read they know who their man is and are in talks with a Chairman? Young(ish), British realistic candidates currently in work, Hughes, Coyle, Holloway, Grayson, Clark? Ince It's going to be an interesting few days, weeks or months!!!!!!!!!
DeadlyDirk Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 O'Neill's price seems to be coming in, not sure if that's a good thing or not just yet.

Also does every one of your posts HAVE TO CONTAIN A STATEMENT IN CAPITALS????? Indeed. If you are currently thinking that we have become a laughing stock, I suggest you read some of the comments on Phil McNulty's blog. We already were a laughing stock because of our former manager. (Although I'm not belittling his achievements. We needed him and he needed us)

We were more of a joke after the United result than we are today, most neutrals are glad Sam has gone and wouldn't want him near their club. Not sure about that - most people I've talked too can't believe we sacked him at this stage of the season and think we could be in big trouble.
T4E Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Den is not a troll. I value den's contribution, but he is prone to a bit of a troll when he gets a bee in his bonnet. 140 odd posts on the Kalinic thread are evidence to that.
