Stuart Pearce is not a Kentaro client.

Is this the new McCarthyism?

Sorry, Kentaro is my new favourite word after reading/hearing so much about them recently.

Scrap the Pearce bet though but have a good one for the darts if anyone is interested!

The good thing about getting Shearer would be that if he was a great success - it would be at least 5 and a half years until Newcastle need another manager

And what would he do when we play Newcastle? You think Houllier's antics when Villa played 'pool was bad...I wouldn't be surprised if Shearer had some clause written that removes him as manager during the weeks we have to play the Toon.

Big Sam most certainly did not deserve the boot, and everyone (or most) are rightly upset about the way it was handled, but business is business.

I would have more faith in Venkys ability as businessmen/women if they weren't acting like clowns.

I think it will be Pearce. 1. Comments that it will be the end of the season - he will want to take the Under 21's to the Euros in the summer

2. Is managing the U'21's - this fits with bringing through youngsters which is supposed to be one of the things were looking at doing

3. British

He ticks the boxes Venkys' has stated but they've gone back and forth on so many comments who knows what the "real" criteria are.

its a local radio station here in Blackburn

they just said the news is "Maradona is not coming to Blackburn"

http://www.thebee.co.uk/news/review.php?article=330307

i think Mrs D said more than that.

Kean in charge. Maybe three months now, but that seems to change daily.

Maradona was their first idea but now back-tracking.

looking for other possibles.

But gives Kean such a push that he has a huge chance.

Not too keen on old regime.

Venky's say they are not interested in Diego Maradona. Oops Daily Mirror #brfc #rovers

More Oops Venky's given Mrs D was quoted directly in an interview about Maradona in the Pune Mirror. Anyway more opportunity for journos to scrap over who didn't say what with Venky's than any other club owner since Barry Fry was at Peterborough.

Talk on Twitter that The Premier League is monitoring the situation with Kentaro. Using them might be in breach of PL regulations. Does anyone know what Kentaro are allowed to do and not? How does that effect our search for manager, and what heppens with Venky's if it turns out that using Kentaro is breaking the rules?

the interview on that link sounded more like one of the brothers to me,

said maradona was spoken about about "many months back"

they "strongly feel steve kean is positive enough to lead us quite well as manager for some time whilst they scout around for a new manager without making mistakes".

" there is a lot of mis-quotes, maradona was talked about long back before they even bought blackburn rovers, but there is no connection with maradona now or in the future"

Do you mean like the time we sacked Paul Ince?

Don't let the facts get in the way of your hysteria eh?

We sacked paul ince because from the start he was the wrong choice, it doesnt take a genius to work out that the players had lost faith in him, as had the fans.. but more importantly the results were dreadful! On the other hand we were having a decent season under big sam, and we are currently 9th in the form table

I hasten to add that my suspicions are that JW would certainly have had contact with sam before Ince was sacked, lets face it how long were we waiting before he was appointed.. i don't remember any palava like this before sam was appointed.

Really clear statement about postivity in that interview. I think the 7-1 loss hurt them and, reading a little between the lines, the 'targeting of games' approach of Big Sam is a key reason they got rid of him. The lack of 'we can win every game' attitude seems to be what they didn't like. That's fair enough but timing is everything and their timing on this is somewhat odd.

'I don't want to speak badly about...' meaning the previous approach was wrong in their eyes and they want to win every game or at least try to.

It may just be me, but is Kean in charge because he's the cheap option?

You've made reference to LOTS of money.

Is there any evidence for that.

Not asking for you to share it just to confirm whether you think sizeable money will be spent ?

this is turning out to be a newcastle like joke. could really do with better p.r. instead of all the mixed messages we seem to be getting. slightly disapointed in venkys so far...seem really unorganised

Good comment Earlydoors.

Syed was pillaged for supposedly not having money, when the one thing he actually did have was that.

These guys accounts are sound, and decent, but not earth shattering enough to inject the kind of cash that we infer they will be. I guess January will be a big window to see how much is spent.

Considering it was very clear from the beginning that Venky's & Kentaro would be working together. Why were these questions not raised, answered & okayed or vetoed within the whole 'fit & proper' test?

Well they are not charged with anything yet, so the questions was probably raised and answered. However I hate to see this club being monitored for possibly breaking the rules. Up untill now I have been very very proud to support Blackburn Rovers because it has been run so wisely. Always dealt with things in a proper manner. Business have always seemed very tidy and nice. Now I feel I can no longer feel that pride. It just sucks.
