Mattyblue Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Just heard on SSN that Kean will be given the chance to stake his claim for the job full time. Very confusing as I heard on Adrian Durhams show that he won't be given the job. This is a big problem for me. Different people are saying different things to different media sources. We need some unified messages coming out from the owners- via the LT only or offical club channels or just shut up for a while!

chaddyrovers Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 An exclusive interview with the rovers owners at 7.15pm on BBC Radio 5 live!!! Guess we will all be listening 2 it.
Mr. E Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Alan Shearer would be an acceptable option, at least regarding the image of the club.
Kelbo Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Oh for owners who can speak and understand the english language!!!
chaddyrovers Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Alan Shearer would be an acceptable option, at least regarding the image of the club. I think he would be a good choice with an experience Number 2 like Steve Clarke or Ray Wilkins!!! He would have to have the final say on transfer in and out. But according to Mrs Desai latest comment that the Manager will have the final say that shouldn't be a problem should it??? Shearer would be respect by the fans, players, club staff and the owners!!! He is a Rovers Legend and knows the club very well!!!
imy9 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I am going out and will be back late, could someone kindly PM the link to the interview once its up and running, ta.
nicko Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 If you listen to The Bee interview and the latest SSN 'adjustment' interview it is pretty clear this is Steve Kean's job to lose...
AJW Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11676_6579359,00.htm Sven not interested. Hope the shenanigans of our new owners haven't put some managers off taking up the post , having said that Sven is a real snake-in-the-grass remember him meeting abramovic when he was england manager?
The Rover of Finland Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Got a feeling it´s Shearer. He is a big name in football world and would make Rovers more attractive for media. It´s pretty same what Venky´s people say at the moment. Nothing seems to stand even for a half day.
cletus Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Sven has a history of changing his mind. This job has his name written all over it. I sort of agree with you there. Sven is a man without morals & will do as he is told, if he`s paid well enough When he took over at City i seem to remember him buying half a dozen players he`d not even seen play! Agents sending him videos of their players & all that! Sven, Venkys & Kentaro (whatever they`re called) would make the ideal working team.....but preferably NOT at Blackburn Rovers
deftangel Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Why on earth would we go for Sven after last time! I hope 5 Live ask these muppets some decent questions
nicko Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Why on earth would we go for Sven after last time! I hope 5 Live ask these muppets some decent questions I think one of the Rao brothers said they wanted someone 'younger and more energetic' than Sam. Forget Sven.
USRoverME Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Why on earth would we go for Sven after last time! Do you really think that the Venky's group knows or cares about that part of our past?
jim mk2 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I think he would be a good choice with an experience Number 2 like Steve Clarke or Ray Wilkins!!! Shearer would be respect by the fans, players, club staff and the owners!!! He is a Rovers Legend and knows the club very well!!! First requirement of a successful top-level football manager is intelligence, and Shearer is bottom of the class material.
Majiball Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I think one of the Rao brothers said they wanted someone 'younger and more energetic' than Sam. Forget Sven. I dunno Sven is pretty energetic by all accounts just ask Ulrikakakakakakakakakaka.
Jimmy612 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Just listened to the Bee interview.. couple of alarming statements I heard. 1) Mrs D is quoted as saying 'i do not believe in living on the edge' I wonder if she defines sacking a manager with a wealth of premier league experience and replacing him with a 1st team coach with little or no managerial experience as 'playing it safe.' Having heard reports around the camp that the players and majority of staff have not met the owners or their advisors, i find it difficult to comprehend the fact that they are able to single out Steve Kean as a better manager than Sam Allardyce. 2) She is also quoted as saying 'we have a beautiful team, that just needs motivating.' This may just be my opinion but i don't believe that our team is beautiful with regard to football or in any other sense. We are a well organised team, punching above our weight in the premier league thanks to a well run and well managed club. If she thinks that the best way to motivate our team is by sacking the manager whom they all respect, and are now devastated after his departure, she is well wide of the mark. Whats next? Drop their wages. It is becoming more and more clear that Venkys made a rash and blind decision in sacking sam and are now scrabbling to explain themselves to the fans and to the media.
Earlydoors Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Looks to me like Kean can make the job his own - and that is not just from listening to the interviews. How about Big Sam as his 'No2'?
TimmyJimmy Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Shearer and Sherwood together would be nice. Kind of getting the band back together.
jim mk2 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Shearer and Sherwood together would be nice. Kind of getting the band back together. Two greenhorns with a combined IQ of -10. Great idea. Next.
nicko Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I dunno Sven is pretty energetic by all accounts just ask Ulrikakakakakakakakakaka. That was a good few years ago...
AJW Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Two greenhorns with a combined IQ of -10. Great idea. Next. Shearer and Sheringham
TugaysMarlboro Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 An exclusive interview with the rovers owners at 7.15pm on BBC Radio 5 live!!! Guess we will all be listening 2 it. Which "owner" though, and what's going to be said this time?
doctorryan Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Stuart Pearce is not a Kentaro client. Is this the new McCarthyism? I don't think this was the right crowd for that reference Alan. I'd be willing to bet that more than half the tub-thumpers on this board have no idea who Joe McCarthy was. (Cue the Wikipedia & Google searches). God we're old.
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 This is a big problem for me. Different people are saying different things to different media sources. We need some unified messages coming out from the owners- via the LT only or offical club channels or just shut up for a while! I think it's the latter until they get a decent PR spokesman. Max Clifford anyone?...
Olveres Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I just hope and pray that Inter don't sack Benitez any time soon...........
