I've just heard a few clips on the news on 5 Live from our chairwoman, Densai?

She spoke very well and very forcefully, a cut from an article has it word for word:

Well i'm feeling a lot more positive about things today. JW and TF look like they are staying, Maradona has been ruled out by Mrs Desai, and Steve Kean is been given a chance to prove himself. Read about him in detail, and has a fair bit of coaching experience, both here and abroad, and was considered to be Big Phil's number 2 at Chelski.

Whilst I still think sacking BFS was harsh, its clear this not a performance issue, its a personality issue. BFS wasnt in their plans and thats that im afraid. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it's how it goes. I am just hoping that they are willing to stump up some cash in January, and lets see how Kean does. What I am wondering if he is given until the end of the season, does he get to bring in his own backroom staff, as we are lacking an assistant manager, and coach now.

I think all in all, there are mixed feelings in getting rid of BFS, I think the important thing is that the fans get behind the team and Steve Kean starting this Saturday against West Ham. It's our biggest game of the season so far given the circumstances going into it. A win and things will seem a lot rosier, a defeat, well that just unthinkabale. Sucked into the relegation fight, no manager, and uncertainty.

So at last the Internet warriors on here might realise the following two points:

- You do not lash out millions to see your team thrashed 7:1

-If you live in the East 50% of 'fans' are Man United tourists

So Sam was lucky he lasted 10 days longer than I would have given him.To say that defeat was embarassing is an understatement

and sort of ruins any new owners optimism and early views.Damage limitation from Sam has finally been rewarded.

At least all the Away Supporters should be mightily pleased.

Lets hope its a fun ride.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but looks like Carlo Ancelotti will be leaving Chelski at the end of the season.

Ancelotti with Wilkins as his number 2, I am saying this with tongue in cheek before anyone jumps down my throat. But you just never know.

Which "owner" though, and what's going to be said this time?

I wonder how long she will be giving Steve Kean tonight - We've heard 2 months/3 months/ end of the season/permanent/no chance of permanent?

The left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing, or even thinking of doing.

It's got to the stage whereby whatever 'promises' we hear tonight will seem pretty hollow. Mrs Desai needs to get the Doobie brothers into line sharpish, and all start rowing in the same direction for a change.

I've just heard a few clips on the news on 5 Live from our chairwoman, Densai?

She spoke very well and very forcefully, a cut from an article has it word for word:

"Allardyce had reportedly objected to the prospect of having new signings forced upon him in the January transfer window by Venky's, the Indian firm who recently bought the club.

But Anuradha Desai, Venky's chairperson, claims the decision to axe the 56-year-old was based on long-term footballing reasons.

Desai said: "We have a long-term vision.

"We want to take the club up to higher heights in terms of position, in terms of overall betterment of the club, in terms of development of younger players - the future.

"In that, Sam definitely didn't fit in.

"We don't want to be, all the time, in danger of being relegated - three points away, five points away.

"I don't think this team deserves that. This team has a lot of potential and we can see that."

Allardyce's first-team coach Steve Kean has taken temporary charge of the side and could remain in the post for some time.

Venky's say they will not rush their next appointment and have dismissed speculation linking them with Argentina legend Diego Maradona.

Desai said: "We are looking for a manager in the future but that is going to take time. We don't want to make a hurried decision.

"We want to understand, meet a lot of people, take opinions and study the scenario.

"For the time being we have given Steve Kean the job.

"I can assure you he is the guy who is hands-on, he knows the strengths and the weaknesses of the players.

"He has been working hard with the players and I am pretty sure he will do an excellent job."

Scot Kean, 43, was wanted as manager by Kilmarnock in the summer but opted to stay at Ewood Park with Allardyce, who recruited him last year.

The former Celtic player has earned a good reputation in coaching after spells at Reading and with Chris Coleman at Fulham, Real Sociedad and Coventry.

Maradona, who coached his country with characteristic flamboyance at the World Cup last summer, was made an unlikely candidate to succeed Allardyce in some reports but Desai has rubbished those suggestions.

She said: "This is something that because we have offices everywhere somebody spoke about, but it is not true. There is no connection.

"This is something from before we got into the EPL - he knows one of our friends, but nothing beyond that.

"He is not being considered, not now and forever for the future. I can assure you there is nothing we are having to do with Maradona."

She said last night that they had talks about it. It's like they can't remember what they have said in previous interviews. This is mental and I'm off to get a cold lager to get my head around it all

LMFAO

You're right as well, why don't they all shut up and let the chair person do the talking, seeing as she is clearly the only business person in the equation, I'm sure there are a few slaps being dished out.

As my post says, it was said with tongue in cheek, if you know what that means?? Just trying to be a bit light hearted about the whole situation, rather than doom and gloom.

Shearer and Sherwood together would be nice. Kind of getting the band back together.

I don't get it , just because they once played for us ! If Shearer had gone straight to Newcastle from Southampton and Sherwood straight from Norwich to Tottenham you wouldn't give them a second's thought. At times like this I despair at the level of football knowledge on this site.

Calm down, calm down. I'm not having a pop at you at all. I was actually saying that it sounds good. The Dumb n Dumber phrase was directed at the brothers rao. I also know what "tongue in cheek" means. It means you had your tongue in your cheek when you wrote it...

Shearer and Pearce? attacker and defender combining ideas, granted Shearer has won nothing and proved nothing but neither had Hughes and neither has kean and we have him for 3 months

In all honesty I really would'nt have a clue who will come and get results for us and I have no idea who will be recommended to Venky's as a good potential manager.

As much as I know the idea is a stupid one, I'd like Shearer to be our manager.

Phenomenal leader, has that big-time aura to him, worked under legendary managers such as Kenny Dalglish and Sir Bobby and the obvious links to Rovers as being the greatest striker ever to wear the blue & white, hands down.

I think with an experienced number 2, I'd be in favour of this one...

This would be wonderful-

PaulPlunkettLT Paul Plunkett

Next #Rovers boss. Lots here saying Owen Coyle! #brfc

It is also a circular post!

Rather more circuitous but Rovers representatives have been talking to Paul Leguen today according to a reliable source in Paris.

Now that really would scare me - the guy is rubbish

The source knew nothing of the Kentaro issue but sure enough, the Kentaro thread runs through M Leguen's recent past which rather adds credibility to this one.

Leguen's track record is that he is either brilliant or rubbish- he doesn't do Sam solid and reliable, that's for sure. I wouldn't ask a Rangers fan for a reference though.

I wouldn't like to hazard a guess who our next manager is going to be. Problem being we aren't looking for a manager, at least not in the traditional sense of the title.

Personally, i'm a huge fan of Roberto Di Matteo. I think he'd do a great job at most PL clubs. I'd love to have him at Ewood.

Not sure how you call him rubbish or brilliant I'd call him consistent in club management and rubbish at International level.

Career win ratio of 48.85%. at Rangers 51.56%

EHD would love his appointment I'd imagine.
