chaddyrovers Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I think that Shearer will be the next manager. He is interest in the job. Who knows what the new onwers wanted has manager? they said one thing and then say a totally different thing. They say that they wanted a british manager than said that they would ruled out Martin Jol. So who knows who we will get has next manager? Anybody got a link to the interview?

John Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Thing is, IMO, I just don't see many decent managers around. Mid-season in particular I would not take a risk on someone relatively unproven.
chaddyrovers Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I wonder if they are waiting for Steve McClaren to get sack then appoint him? Or Stuart pearce till the summer after the under 21 euro's?
John Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I wonder if they are waiting for Steve McClaren to get sack then appoint him? Or Stuart pearce till the summer after the under 21 euro's? Would either of those managers, for example, be a massive improvement on Big Sam?
philipl Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Would either of those managers, for example, be a massive improvement on Big Sam? No but after today's showing they would at least manage.
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 My money is on Andrew Evans - a true footballing genius Class!
rigger Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Did you notice Dave Moyes was at the game today
John Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Did you notice Dave Moyes was at the game today Watching West Ham as Everton play them soon.
chaddyrovers Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Alan Shearer has just said on motd that he is not interested in the rovers job!!!
Hughesy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Shearer rules himeself out on national tv again!!
JAL Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Alan Shearer has just said on motd that he is not interested in the rovers job!!! Thank god for that! A stupid name to throw out.
Hughesy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Ok serious heads on now....who do people want? O'Neill? Holloway? Jol?
Exiled_Rover Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Thank (Please don't use that word again) for that. I heard Gabby 'someone needs to give me a slap' Logan propose the job to him and I quickly hit the mute button.
AJW Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 what chance of we got then of attracting an experienced manager then if someone like shearer who its itching to get back in the game doesn't want the job
jumpin' Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Mon. He'll inject pace which we are lacking. Some may not like his style but he'll attack every team.
Backroom DE. Posted December 18, 2010 Backroom Posted December 18, 2010 I was about to type that we need someone with experience... then realised with a somewhat despairing chuckle that we just sacked a manager with a ton of the stuff.
Craigman Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Freddie wants the job ! Maybe just what the Indians want !!
philipl Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Ok serious heads on now....who do people want? O'Neill? Holloway? Jol? Allardyce is a good man in a crisis.
beerwins Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Ok serious heads on now....who do people want? O'Neill? Holloway? Jol? Holloway and Jol have already stated they dont want the job, and Millhouse wants loadsa dough to spend.
chaddyrovers Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 We have got no chance of getting MO'N. will wanted alot of transfer cash. Jol, Sven and Hollway has already said not interested in Job. Curbishley won't come up North. My choice would either be Roberto Di Matteo, Zola or Bilic. But I can see Steve McClaren being appoint if he is sacked or us waiting for Staurt Pearce till the summer!
Backroom Tom Posted December 18, 2010 Backroom Posted December 18, 2010 It looks increasingly silly to have got rid of a competent if not spectacular manager without having someone lined up. We are going to end up with a lower league journeyman I bet.
chaddyrovers Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Allardyce is a good man in a crisis. Should have NEVER been sacked!
Commondore Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I've said this before: I hope we go outside the usual duckpond and search for a manager in other parts of Europe. Holland, Italy and Germany all train better coaches than England, and I'm sure quite a lot of them wouldn't mind a payrise and a crack at the most popular league in the world.

Steve Moss Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I suspect that we are looking at Pearce or McClaren. Otherwise someone like Grayson. But maybe they'll look outside of Britian. I think Bob Bradley of the US National Team could do the job. And perhaps he could bring his son along. Or Bilic. He might be worth a shot.
