nicko Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Nicko who are key Kentaro/SEM clients? Manager-wise or player-wise? This is frankly ludicrous. Do you think if a good player - or a good manager - became available in the next few weeks that they would HAVE to be a Kentaro or SEM client? This is just surreal.

gumboots Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Manager-wise or player-wise? This is frankly ludicrous. Do you think if a good player - or a good manager - became available in the next few weeks that they would HAVE to be a Kentaro or SEM client? This is just surreal. I think the point is that nobody knows what to believe. There are those who are prepared to wait and see, at least for the immediate future, although even among those there is a high level of concern about what might or might not be happening; there are those who think the worst but try to say it in a measured manner and then there are those either with an agenda of their own or prone to knee jerk reactions who already have us playing the likes of Rochdale week in week out becuase it's all gone pear-shaped and the new owners have made a deliberate malicious mistake in sacking Allardyce. In those circumstances, with no real clues coming out of the club to calm anyone's fears and the captain giving the interview he did, is it any wonder that people are acting in a surreal manner. It's all a bit of a surreal situation if we're honest, and fans would welcome any real sign that someone at the club not only knows what they are doing, but are being allowed to do it.
nicko Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Manager-wise for the sake of this thread. Steve Kean, Owen Coyle, Tony Pulis, Mark Robins and I am sure a few others. Kean's contact with SEM came through a mate of his in Portugal. Coyle and Pulis are linked through some of their staff. This Jerome Anderson obsession does not tell the whole story. Kentaro have loads of people with loads of contacts.
nicko Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Does that include international managers? I would have to pass on that. Don't have the answer. If you are meandering this round to Bobby Hughton I would imagine that is one - other - false trail.
Bobby G Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I would have to pass on that. Don't have the answer. If you are meandering this round to Bobby Hughton I would imagine that is one - other - false trail. No no. I would have he fell into the British category. I wanted to see the level or quality of the clientele more than anything else.
Olveres Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Looks like Benitez has just been hoofed by Moratti....
Bobby G Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Only according to the Corriero della Serra. Big Sam to take his job there and Rafa to Rovers?
nicko Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Big Sam to take his job there and Rafa to Rovers? Wonder if Sam would moan about Moratti coming up with signing ideas?
Bobby G Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 To be fair, Moratti back's his managers to the end. He hasnt got a reputation for that kind of behavior. Rafa was an idiot to make those comments post-match. Wrong timing. In a way you wonder if he wanted to get sacked before X-mas.
AJW Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Nicko if potential managers rule themselves out of the rovers job do you think Rovers would possibly look down into the championship for a manager , Simon Grayson od Sean O'Driscoll spring to mind
broadsword Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Rafa's a little bitch. "We have a saying in Spain, white liquid in a bottle is milk" "He couldn't see a priest stop atop a mountain of sugar" Judging by those quotes he must also be smoking some strong bananas.
John Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 What about Paul Lambert? I am against going down the inexperienced route again, it's too risky (for me) - not using the Ince example to base my thinking too. Managing a Premier League club successfully is a big job and you want someone fairly proven if possible. By having seemingly impulsive owners the pressure will be on from day one too.
Kelbo Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 There are not many good managers with Prem experience around!
John Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 True, that's the main problem we have got. Hopefully we don't have any knee-jerk reactions now in relation to the manager’s appointment. Decisions, decisions though... Do they now appoint Kean until the end of the season? Do they wait until he picks up some points first before doing the above? (ahead of the January window) Do they have any idea who they would like long-term? Personally due there being so many average manager’s out there I would appoint Kean until the end of the season – following that, between now and then, work out if there is a number 1 target who we/they think could be the long-term manager. Risky stuff though.
Hughesy Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Simon Grayson isnt a bad shout being ex rovers...however we would need to give him time to get to know this level & the players out there that we could sign. Noticed Nigel Clough is now on betfair and his odds down to 20/1
Miker Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Big Sam to take his job there and Rafa to Rovers? If Rafa came to Rovers I would cry.
JC4LAB Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Ceefax reckons Steve Mc Claren is about two games away from getting the sack at Wolfsburg
nicko Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 OK, things will become very apparent over the next couple of days. I am going totally dark on this one until morning. And that means no PMs too.
