Chris Kamara's odds falling....

He would make a terrible manager but god damn we would have some fun...............in the championship

My guess is that Kean will have the job on a permanent basis which to me would be a bad move, the players just did'nt play at all for him on saturday, ok it was only one game but it's very hard for the players to respect a coach who got promoted by TWO steps, I would like to see him as an assistant though.

Think the last week has impacted your mental well being Kelbo

Tell you what, he'd be bloody amusing, did OK at one time at Bradford City!!

At least he has experience of managing first team football, albeit in the Championship, which is more than we have at the moment!

To be honest, there are no cndidates out there of any quality who would come to Rovers after this pantomime we have had this week, speaking of which, we should put on a pantomime for the fans!

'Chick on the Beanstalk' anyone?

or maybe 'Cinderella' I can recommend two for the ugly sisters

Think you are right Matty, got carried away there, he would probably miss all the red cards and goals!!

But just for info he managed Bradford City to promotion to the Championship (then Division 1)

Kamara spent short spells as manager of Stoke City and Bradford City, which saw him nearly relegated with the former but gaining promotion with the latter. He steered The Bantams to promotion in the 1995-96 season after winning 2–0 in the play-off final against Notts County, and is very highly thought of at Valley Parade.

Should you run a club that need to ensure they stay in the premiership whilst having limited budget, you might think that a manager that has never been relegated in circa 20 years of managment, mostly with clubs of limited financial strength would fit the bill quite well, you know, the one like er, what's his name? er, Allardyce, that's the one

Better be quick about it before he ends up at Wolverhampton, his hometown club and helps them from avoid one of those nasty relegation spots!

I have a gut feeling that he will go to one of those clubs and this will come back to haunt us!!

Just a hunch but reckon we might make an approach for Sven.

Please no. Why him? What has he done to prove he's got any juice left?

Nicko if potential managers rule themselves out of the rovers job do you think Rovers would possibly look down into the championship for a manager , Simon Grayson od Sean O'Driscoll spring to mind

Grayson would be an excellent choice, but he'd be mad to leave Leeds. He's on the verge of becoming a legend over there.

Spends money like water on a procession of gash footballers, then demands some more money. Not very good at all.

Rafa won't come here, he thinks he's too good for us. If he did, however, he won't be in charge of the transfer budget. Remember some claim that is Kentaro's job. Between Kentaro and Rafa, I pick Kentaro.

I'd like to see, in no particular order:

Hughton (needs a job by all accounts)

Holloway (be mad to leave Blackpool, but then again, he's mad)

Hoddle (I'd be excited by this one, and he fits with Kentaro's developing youth model)

Houghton (would fit the Indian marketing plan)

Coyle (not a step up for him, in current circumstances)

Bradley (I'm biased in favor of Americans, I admit it)

Grayson (has a nice gig at Leeds and it would make his reputation if he could bring them up)

Klinnsman (I'd weep for joy)

Rijkaard (but his Sparta record is worrying, though that was many years ago)

Poyet (could be interesting and may help attract South American talent)

Hiddink (another weep for joy choice)

Based on the foregoing, and after considering my wants, needs and fears, I can comfortably announce we have a 50% chance of having a manager with a last name beginning with "H".

My concern is a good manager is going to want a good wage and money to spend. Even with money it wont be easy to attract players. The more i hear from our new owners the more i worry. This has all the hallmarks of becoming a disaster. The next manager is anyones guess but i suspect if its not Kean it will be another journeyman of the managerial scrap heap.

The problem with managers is that what works at one club may not neccessarily workk at another. Even established managers will have one club on their CV that didn't go according to plan.

Take Holloway, how many failures did he have before getting it right at Blackpool?

Redknapp at Southampton

Mark Hughes - Fulham

Yet we'd probably take any of those at the moment
