A day trip to India will hardly be detremental will it. Especially when its such an important matter. Any excuse to have a dig. You know nothing about Kean yet you're already treating him like a failure.

OK Mr Kayak/ Opodo/ Indian taxi service.

Get me an itinerary for Mr Keen from Brockhall to Pune and back in a day so he doesn't miss more than one training session and is able to have a considered wide awake conversation about budgets, transfer targets and your own package whilst he is there and not arrive back totally blanked out.

And clear that snow whilst you are about it.

Venky's said that they sacked Big Sam and wanted to bring in a big name manager and play more attacking football.

So where is the big name manager?

The football on saturday was awful.

If we'd had a couple of "flair" players in there like Hoilett and Olsson (sorry best i can do) we might have played more attractive football. Whether we'd have won or not I'm not sure.

With this weather it certainly does'nt feel like April  worst fears are being laid into plans, I really did'nt think he was insane as the owners are, but he certainly seems it.

Steve Kean is obviously ambitious. This is his chance and he's going for it. I thought interesting that he qualified his statement:

“If we have a full squad and £5 million, I am confident we could finish above 10th,” Kean said.

Of course, we don't have a "full" squad.

I hope he gets the money to get and keep us in the top ten. I suspect we'll need more than a mere 5 million.

Well at least now they cannot flog off Jones to fund the Kentaro Express, we are getting honesty about the £5m number which is £5m more than we had previously.

But boy do we need a Hughes or a Sam to spend it wisely and JW to negotiate the best terms.

"The Rao family are still keen to recruit a big-name to be the club’s ‘face’ and Mirror Sport can reveal that pony-tailed ‘football fan’ Balaji Rao was the one pushing the Diego Maradona plan".

And everyone knows what's under a pony's tail!

Sounds to me like the weather put an end to the Raos coming over so Kean is summoned to them.

I'd imagine they would be staying in London as usual, Gatwick closed no show.

At best two days away, probably three, we must have coaches growing in the snow down Brockhall.

As for the 5m maybe the smokescreen card is still being played. I hope.

If true, yet another example of how utterly thick these people are.

A completely incoherent performance against West Ham needs the new coach going through his ideas and tactics with the team. Instead he's to spend the week in airport terminals.

Viz should come out with a comic strip called 'The Venky's of Ewood'.

Or would people think it was too far fetched?

When Sam was sacked, I was excited by the audacity of our new owners. It seemed decisive, it appeared they wanted more, and had a plan they weren't afraid to execute. Since then they've shown themselves to be completely clueless, lacking basic common sense and totally without vision. To sack Sam and replace him with a coach with no managerial experience almost beggars belief.

They had a chance to unite the fans from the outset in getting rid of Sam - even the staunchest Pro-Allardyce fan would have been pleased with a decent name with a good track record being appointed quickly and without fuss. Even the most anti-Sam amongst us have been questioning the logic after the way they have behaved.

Venkys have failed their first major test with astonishing aplomb, and it's not a good sign. I'm not going to start worrying about relegation as I think that's still very unlikely, but I am majorly disappointed at the opportunity they've missed. The worst thing is, they don't even seem to realise it.

You have got the players coming in on Christmas Day for training and three league games in seven days coming up so the brand new manager when the players are cheesed off with the old one going is to be whisked off to India.

These guys are clueless.

Well said I was misguidedly excited at the prospect of someone like Jol on Monday, however even if relegation is avoided this season you have to feel it will only be a matter of time till we implode under these guys.

Nothing wrong with ambition but he seems to be as brainwashed as the owners, how the hell can we afford to pay 1 -3 million to sack Sam yet we only have 5 million to bring players in for a top ten finish?

Also have you ever heard of a caretaker manager that has just been offered the job of permanent manager after drawing with the bottom of the league at home? what did they base that on? the fact that we did'nt get beat 7-1  not to mention the football we played was shocking, the whole things stinks to high heaven.

Mike Ashley has nothing on these guys.
