imy9 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 The players will obviously be okayed by our advisors so wouldn't worry on that score. Cannot be worse than Grella and Andrews can they?

Kelbo Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Ironic some of you who mercilessly slated Venkys because they disrupted 'continuity' now oppose Kean, who has done nothing wrong yet. His appointment is probably the best way to maintain continuity without Big Sam at the helm (although I suspect the appointment of Kean is perhaps a kneejerk reaction by Venkys due to massive unfounded hysteria by the fans). Hypocrites. This post beggars belief, are you really serious with thse comments, have you not seen what has been going on, we have been bought by a bunch of idiots!!
Gav Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Steve kean as new manager? I think I told 47er to calm down yesterday, its only a few days after Allardyces sacking, give the new owners time, but if they appoint Kean in a full-time capacity they’re clueless, absolutely clueless. Nothing against Kean, but we need experience to take us forward, not backroom staff.
John Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Did I really read Kean thinks he can finish in the top 5? (after spending £5 million) Is the Venky’s madness spreading.....? Surely Kean will need some backroom staff of his own?
Ricky Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Think he said top 10 John, still hugely optimistic in my view. We need an experienced manager who can keep us in the top flight on a limited budget.... Oh hang on, we've just sacked him!! You still happy that sam has gone then Gav? I'd be over the moon to have him back right now!!

Now I am miserable and would have rubber face back in a heartbeat. (nice villa by the way)
John Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Just read his quotes properly now “Can we finish in the top five only spending £5 million? It is a fair comment if everyone is fit. That has slightly changed because we have a few injuries.”
imy9 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Wow maybe he is a Venkys employee after all lol

John Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 No disrespect to Steve, but he's never managed before in his life, certainly not at this level. He may or may not be a great coach, but management is a totally different ball game, and I imagine he's starting to find that out.

I'd be over the moon to have him back right now!! I wondered who'd be the first to ask that question Ricky, yes I’m happy we’ve sacked Allardyce, but to replace him with Kean is madness. Its even worse than the Newcastle scenario where they’ve gone sideways, we seen to have gone backwards. Maybe he's been chewing on hallucinogenic voodoo chicken giblets.
philipl Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 It stands to reason that all Rovers' opponents' managers will be fancying beating Steve Kean. The psychology of the opponents will be totally different- they will be going out with a totally different message from the gaffer compared with the one they'd get if they were playing a Sam side.

Perhaps, philip, this should be your last post on these pages, because it could be the most prophetic.
Amo Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Serves us all right for laughing at the Newcastle forums.
Wiggy Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 The players will obviously be okayed by our advisors so wouldn't worry on that score. The players could be the ones that they get the most commision on. A complete conflict of interest.

Hypocrites. Complete provocative ######! Since when has promoting a coach/assistant maintained continuity? So many clubs have fallen into that trap over the years. Bolton tried exactly the same thing when Sam left them with Sammy Lee - how did that turn out?
47er Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Perhaps, philip, this should be your last post on these pages, because it could be the most prophetic. If only!
John Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Surely misconstrued comments? Caretaker manager Steve Kean believes he can take Blackburn into the top five by spending just £5million.
dave birch Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 And I could get the lotto on new years eve for a return of 31 million. Sorry Steve, it won't happen
Bobby G Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I think he said he can BETTER last season's 10th place finish.
nicko Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Steve Kean is trying to get to India - but that will come down to catching a flight. The meeting with the club's main players is there. Some of the propaganda spouted out - from one direction in particular - really is quite pathetic. You need to have a look at yourself. I understand the owners now realise it would be a mistake to have a caretaker in charge during the window. The budget will really depend on the need, which is a point I think I have made from the off.
Ricky Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 What do you make of mrs desai's comments in the local paper Alan? Do they differ from what is in the mirror today. Not read both articles so I don't know what's really been said.
AggyBlue Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Steve Kean is trying to get to India - but that will come down to catching a flight. The football club should be run from Ewood not halfway around the world FFS If they want to be 'hands on' as they were quoted as saying, move someone in Ewood to do JW's job because he's clearly been relieved of his duties.

Not read both articles so I don't know what's really been said. I am never quite sure what to make of Mrs D's comments. I thought she was going to give it a rest after last week's disastrous mix-ups. Steve Kean wants the answers everyone else wants...if he doesn't get the right ones you all might be in for a surprise.

Kean trying to get to India, ffs, the game is in England, ok HO is there but it's like trying to run the main game from thousands of miles away, it's effing hard. The owners NOW realise! Have they been reading this website? If they had they would have known a week back. Your point on the budget is right, and you were.
