philipl Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Mrs Desai in LT- We want good football and top 5 finish. Happy to leave Steve Kean in charge for a couple of months. They are believed to have offered Sam the chance to sign Boyd and Geovanni via Kentaro. Sam didn't want them. Nothing against Sam. Long time in their minds that they want a British Manager. Talked to Sam and he didn't fit the vision Steve Kean a very hard worker who is good with young players. Cold take months to appoint a new manager. No hasty decision- have best interests of club at heart. Andy Cryer has written a stinging comment. LT speculates it will be Pearce or Jol. This to me says they have no money and they are going to let Kentaro ride all over them. Sam got fired for refusing a forward who is a dud in a Championship relegation battle and a troublesome midfielder shown the door by MLS San Francisco!

Mike Graham Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Thanks for the update Philip. These Chickens worry me to hell. Sign Boyd and Giovanni....they must be suffering the after effect of chicken flu maybe. The world of BRFC has gone barking (squaking ?) mad, owners in charge who have no knowledge of football and want to use us to promote chickens and drugs. I am very very worried for our future; what decent mamager, unless his only motivation is £££s will come to a club where Chickens and their agents decide the transfer policy and targets. MAD MAD MAD
alexanders Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I just nod my head and say "yes dear" - leads to a peaceful life and my friday night out with the lads. Though I normally do the opposite of her 'instructions'. Eventually she gives up and I end up smiling - and get saturday night out as well. Sam wasnt ready to that.
Mattyblue Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 John Williams and Tom Finn to leave according to Sky Sports News.
Mike Graham Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 John Williams and Tom Finn to leave according to Sky Sports News. WHATTTTTTTTTTTTT The Chickens are going to get some sh**e from the fans on Saturday. I am disgusted.......2 of the most decent people in football/
DanLad Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Does anyone else think that we should form another club, ala AFC Wimbledon, now? It would save time later? That's about the only new era I can think of that'd be worth a fig.
philipl Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 John Williams and Tom Finn to leave according to Sky Sports News. That's it- the club is in total turmoil. The rest of the Rovers management is enormously highly regarded and will be head hunted by the rest of the PL. Relegation this season is almost certain. Nicko is right, we will have Jerome Anderson running the club- well done Nicko! Mrs D said in the LT that John's job was safe. Well she called that one wrong didn't she? John Williams is bigger than Venky's.
Mike Graham Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I feel sick, angry and will never eat another chicken again.
Andy Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't mind admitting that I lost a considerable amount of interest in Rovers quite a few years ago, when I realised that there are a million other things more important in life than watching a game. So us losing certainly doesn't ruin my Saturday in the way it used to. However, this news makes me sad - getting rid of Sam is one thing and the new owners are entitled to have their own man at the helm, but there must be something majorly wrong for John Williams to tender his resignation. Had interupted sleep last night, due to illness, but every time I woke up I kept having the horrible vision of Maradona as our manager and unfortunately I couldn't put it down to a bad dream. Bad days to be a Rover.
Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Protests on Saturday wont achieve jack£$%^. Its too late. Thank you TRUST for this decision. Jack Walker's legacy destroyed.
philipl Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 When Paul Ince was chosen, he could at least be fired...
cesus Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I'm praying this is paper talk about leaving Kean in charge for a few months, he may be the greatest up and coming manager in the country but I far more suspect he is a puppet being pulled by venkys strings. Surely we need a proven manager and one that was ready to be here for Christmas and most definetly the January window as if Kean is in charge then it will be Venkys and Anderson doing the spending. If Williams and Finn leave we can kiss good bye anybody being in touch with the fans.
Silencio Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Thank you TRUST for this decision. Jack Walker's legacy destroyed. An absolute disgrace. I think we are at the start of an absolute nightmare. For me, Allardyce, Williams and Finn going like this is much worse than when we got relegated in the 1990's. We had better players then and we knew the people in charge would get us back up. How could the Trust sell to these guys?
PAFELL Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I feel sick, angry and will never eat another chicken again. People were told that this takeover wasn't as good as some thought. Ok early days still. But we were told to expect changes after a month. As I do not know the reason about JW ?Tom Finn resigning / sacked I will hold my own opinion. I do so until I know the plans Venky's have for the club. John Williams was fantastic for Rovers and a man who will be missed by the club. At this moment I will not consider the club is in turmoil, but is going through changes, major ones at that. I will wait until the dust settles - then!
Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Paper talk? Its straight from Desai to the LT. No middle people involved. The Trust have killed the club with their final nail in the coffin. All these years waiting around, not selling the club in order to preserve JW's legacy and they chose these guys? I wish I lived in Blackburn and would be at the stadium on Saturday. I doubt it would make a difference. Ashley has been hated for 2 years now. Id take Mike Ashley any day of the week though. People were told that this takeover wasn't as good as some thought. Ok early days still. But we were told to expect changes after a month. As I do not know the reason about JW ?Tom Finn resigning / sacked I will hold my own opinion. When the dust settles there will be nothing left.
Parsonblue Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Interesting that according to the Daily Mirror, Steve Kean is represented by none other than Kentaro and their associates! Now I wonder why Mrs. Desai praised him so highly?
Kelbo Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Gutted!! Just Gutted, the bloody Indians have wrecked our club, god knows who is advising them, a total joke, I dont know if I have the inclination to ever go to Ewood again with this lot in charge!
Silencio Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Interesting that according to the Daily Mirror, Steve Kean is represented by none other than Kentaro and their associates! Now I wonder why Mrs. Desai praised him so highly? Do you have a link, Parson? This just gets worse and worse. How could the Trust sell to these guys and the EPL see them as being fit and proper?
GiddyGoat Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Protests on Saturday wont achieve jack£$%^. Its too late. Thank you TRUST for this decision. Jack Walker's legacy destroyed. It is true that we cant change the decision to sell to Venkys, it is all about what happens next. This is one of the biggest stories in football at the moment and media will be out at Ewood in force at the weekend and we have the opportunity to send a strong message to our owners. Our club is imploding and it is happening now, in front of us.
47er Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Do you have a link, Parson? This just gets worse and worse. How could the Trust sell to these guys and the EPL see them as being fit and proper? Fit and proper is not the same as having a clue.
Silencio Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Fit and proper is not the same as having a clue. fair comment and I would never have expected the EPL to know anyway. Just shows how messed up the game is. I think I'm gonna give up on it all together...

Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I hope we give them the welcome they deserve the next time they show their faces.
John Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Absolute s**m bags - just what the hell are they doing?
