Muddboy Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Venkys have clearly gone back on what they said they had planned for the club when they were bidding to buy it. I remember John Williams saying that the approach that Venkys had outlined was sensible and would safeguard the long-term future of the club. Something must have changed dramatically for events to unfold like they have during the last 24 hours and it's clear that Venkys have told more than a few porkies. I am absolutely disgusted because the heart has been ripped out of Rovers without a second thought. And I'm fearful for the reaction we're going to get from the players on Saturday. Some of them will be sh!tting themselves just as much as we are and I'm sure they're heads will be spinning. I predict three points for Wham on Saturday and the beginning of the slide for us.
Paul Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 David Dunn was interviewed on Radio Lancashire last night, just after the announcement of Allardyce being sacked, and stated Venky's have still not met the players. First and foremost Dunny is a fan, I can see no reason why he would make this up.

First and foremost Dunny is a fan, I can see no reason why he would make this up. You can see the players thinking- They didn't meet Sam- he's gone They haven't met us-.... By the way, crazy crazy management not having someone on the ground when Sam was being fired. If reports are true, they now have no Manager, no Chairman and no CEO ... and they are a day's travel away. Unless someone from Kentaro is hot footing it up to Ewood right now.i

tony gale's mic Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 We're basically Kentaro Fried Chicken.

I must amit I read the offer to buy the club document. I thought that JW had a years grace and this was part of the agreement. But if JW has resigned and not sacked, then Venky's would not be in breach of the agreement.
rovgers Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Is there any links to anything on the Internet about Williams?
John Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Thing is, regardless of if you like/dislike anyone, do we really want our club run in this manner? Also the involvement of Kentaro/SEM is clearly major in all of this - plus if you believe the papers, the players they are suggesting are woeful.
Emge Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Hi everyone! Please join the group " John Williams is the heart of Blackburn Rovers! " to show that we want him to stay! Lets get many members!!
bob Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't if this is the time to say I told you all so but..... The only way is down from here!
alexanders Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 im an no longer 1) eating anyform of mass processed chicken from india again 2) eating an indian again.......they have disgraced this once well respected club I think it's illegal
CrazyIvan Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Post your comments here... on Facebook. You don't have to 'like' Venky's to do it either.
barry_ Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't if this is the time to say I told you all so but..... The only way is down from here!. It's typical of football supporters (myself included) to always worry and do our impression of Private Frasier 'we're doomed I tell ya... doomed!' when events such as this overtake us. In a strange way I think that a lot of posters actually enjoy worrying and being pessimistic. The fact of the matter is that we are now owned by a company whose base is thousands of miles away and are looking at the (their) bigger picture and there's nothing we can do about it. The sacking of Allardyce can only be judged by looking back after this season has passed into history... for now all we can do is support the team and each other. Accept it and enjoy the ride.

Well I am sure the history will be covered with our ups and downs in the Championship for the next few years!
47er Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Desai - trust us. Yep we'll trust you to get us to 5th with Kris Boyd and Geovanni. And to part the Red Sea.
alexanders Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Great interview from Desai. She says something that almost any owner who came in would have said. Sam wasnt the man. Simple as that.
Lurid Coat Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Desai - trust us. They want Blackburn to become "India's favourite team". We won't become India's favourite team if we are relegated from the Premier League. Nor will we become a good team if the owners start to strip the club of its assets. We can only hope that this means that they will put money on the table (and stop suggesting utter dross such as Boyd and Geovanni) and get a good manager onboard. I'm not entirely convinced that will happen, though..
Bobby G Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 alexanders, timing, timing, timing... Knowing our fans, about 25 of us will gather silently outside Ewood Park before the WH game.
rovers_rob Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Yep we'll trust you to get us to 5th with Kris Boyd and Geovanni. And to part the Red Sea. Nicko just been on talksport saying he doesn't believe the boyd/Geovanni story. He reckons it has been put out there to give owners a bad name. He still thinks they are going to spalsh the cash. I don't know what to believe anymore.

Thank you for keeping us non-England based fans in the loop. Hopefully Nicko is correct on this one.
