Would you me to explain to you why an online poll on a local newspaper website is not statistically significant? (especially as this can be considered a shock sacking)

Or would you like to carry on trolling as you do seem quite happy?

I have to say for you to suggest Den is trolling makes you like a complete fool. It's clear much of your contribution is only just above the trolling level. Your attitude towards on others on this site has become pretty appalling of late. Why are you unable to accept other opinions exist and they are as valid as yours?

Thanks for your backing Paul, but I think Bucky was throwing one back at me from last night. :)

Indeed.

den and I have good banter. It's not personal. I'm just trying to counter the torrent of negativity regarding the takeover and sometimes I get frustrated.

I think everything will come out in the wash. I just wish they would improve their communication.

I accept that is what you are trying to do. But there is a difference between spinning positively and some of your recent posts. Please do remember timmyjimmy's post.

How the Raos communicate is over to them. They are running a serious mid-range business with global ambitions and 15,000 employees if I remember the numbers correctly so they must get their communications right most of the time.

However, I am appreciating being able to get a picture of them as human beings, flaws and all, which this splurge of media activity is giving us.

"We want to take the club up to higher heights in terms of position, in terms of overall betterment of the club, in terms of development of younger players - the future.

"In that, Sam definitely didn't fit in.

"We don't want to be, all the time, in danger of being relegated - three points away, five points away.

"I don't think this team deserves that. This team has a lot of potential and we can see that."

------------

Puddled. The second quote is the worrying one.

It was on SSN this morning that since Daniel Levy took over at spurs in 2001, Spurs have spent about £320m on players and only got into a top 4 finish at the end of last season. So it took that level of investment, a club based in the capital, 9 years and many managers to become a top 4 position. So if Venkys want to get into the top 4 side, they need to do some serious planning.

You can have as many owners as you want but we only need 1 spokesman, this has been proved over the last 2 days.

They dont have the best pr but they do sound genuine and not foolhardy, I dont expect Kentaro to be giving them advice for long.

I sincerely hope you are right but what I have heard from inside the club this evening has left me deeply pessimistic.

What I thought most interesting about the interview on Five Live tonight was the fact that Mrs Desai rang the reporter who had been trying to interview her for some time to offer to speak on the record. It would appear, according to the reporter, that Venky's are rattled by the negative publicity that the sacking of Sam has produced. To me this really underlines how little they know about English football and the way it is covered in the media.

The other thing that struck me was the way in which the interview today differed from her interview yesterday in the Indian press and her brother's radio interview.

Listening to her I really do wonder just how much she knows about the game and who is advising her on the strength of our playing staff. To suggest that the present squad has potential but needs motivating is unbelieveable. All the players have praised Sam's man-management and motivational skills, indeed it is something that he is known for throughout the game.

Mrs Desai said that although Kentaro are their main advisors, Steve Kean will be in charge of transfers in January but that he might or might not end up with the job in the summer. His main qualification appears to be that she believes he has a more positive outlook that Sam. Although the reporter did point out that he was represented by Kentaro. Why give an untried manager the responsiblity for transfers? It simply doesn't make sense.

The worrying thing is that Mrs Desai named one of her brothers as an "expert" on football. Sadly, I suspect she is more likely to turn to him than John Williams for advice on how to run the club.

While she makes the right noises about finishing between 5 and 7, there is no indication about how this is going to be achieved apart from having a positive outlook and motivating the players better than Sam did.

The lady sounds a bright business woman - and she obviously is - but sounds like she is totally out of her depth in terms of having a plan and knowing how to put it across in the media. She needs to lean on someone for advice, other than Kentaro and her brothers, but, sadly, the fact that John Williams was totally ignored when it came to sacking Sam, I'm not sure who that person is going to me.

I respect your posts but can you see how this sounds??? This could mean anything, and obviously if any (more) bad news comes to light im sure you could claim that you heard it first. If you cannot repeat what you have heard then fine, but just to post that you've heard bad news without actually telling us what it is really doesnt help anyone.

Well they realise that you slip out of the premier league you lose all international recognition nobody is that naive, if they see us slide down the table due to bad signings or decisions based on bad advice I dont see them suffering fools and will make changes if they need to do.

The one thing that really does bother me is out of all the Premier league chairmen JW is one of the best but they chose to listen to agents with their own interests at heart, we can only hope that the longer JW stays on the more trust they lay with him.

They seem to have some good marketing ideas add that to JW's knowledge of the football and I would be very exited for the future but this added advice they are seeking from people who dont have Blackburn Rovers best interest at heart is just the one thing that is really bugging me.

The Venky's are going to be totally hands on including the football side.

What we heard tonight was the Jerome Anderson script, let's be honest with ourselves. Anyone or anything which gets in the way of the Jerome Anderson agenda is going to be bulldozed.

These guys have had a month and what is happening on the marketing front. They have a tiny window before they cease being the only Indian PL owners and what are they doing with it?

Marketing is about execution more than it is about ideas. The market is interested and wants to hear right now so this is an incredibly precious time before Venky's and Mrs D are old news. Look at how they are totally squandering their marketing opportunity- every one of these interviews ought to be taking the marketing proposition forwards.

They don't have the industry intelligence to understand what they have and don't have and are utterly naive in using Jerome Anderson.

People are forgetting just how dramatically City fell to pieces six months after Jerome Anderson got involved there.

Yes for now, but like I said what happens they they realise the advice they are getting is wrong? they are going to carry on blinkered, I dont see it.

If things start to go bad what will they do, cut and run? Replace managers? Pump money into the club? or seek other advice? My guess is the latter.

What experience has Venky's got of running a football club? Answer None!!!

Do I know of anybody who has got experience of running of a football club? er er oh yeah Our Current Club Chairman John Williams and MD Tom Finn!!!

I just don't understand why not let's the JW and TF get on with running the club and let the manager manage the club and sign players. The owners should be in the background and not always giving interviews and change the comments from one interview to the other!!!

How long will JW and TF stayed on at the club? and are they involved with getting us a new manager or will that be Jerome Anderson choice?????

I dont see where you are going with this, I am agreement 100% that they are getting bad advice and will only have one outcome but what do you hope to achieve?

There were over 400 people on here reading posts when Sam got the sack even if you managed to convince everyone on here that the outside advice is bad and we need to get rid of Kentaro, its 400 amongst 20,000 + fans at home matches.

If you took a banner saying Kentaro out to a Rovers match some bright spark would turn round and say who the hell is he, our biggest hope is that they see sense and listen to JW and that will probably only come when things start to slide unfortunately but for the time being I will get behind my team and see what the future holds with my fingers crossed.

It is a discussion board.

Ideally someone would come on here with a better argument backed by superior evidence and demonstrate all will be fine.

To the extent Venky's are taking any notice, I am saying again, you are not going to be on your own as Indian owners of a PL club for any length of time unless you get very lucky indeed.

And when QPR come up, it becomes Mittal vs Venky's and that will be no contest if Mittal can be bothered. In terms of comparative resources, Mittal could buy out the Rao family lock stock and barrel with a few months' interest.

Mittal could also buy and sell your pal Ali Syed a few times over as well.

You dont have a clue what is going on/going to happen any more than the rest of us. Stop creating that illusion to scare monger and bolster your agenda.

Completely irrelevant, I'm surprised you're running with this.

Mittal is pretty much a silent investor there, and owns about 20%. They're not pushing QPR as an 'Indian owned club' like Venky's are trying to do, there are plenty more people involved there and Mittal doesn't need the exposure by doing it.
