and out of interest, what does that matter?

Well after hearing that Sam would have won this match if he was managing today with his brand of football, thought it'd be interesting to know after two attempts whether he had, valid question?

West Ham werent bottom of the table on a 26 game winless away run at the time were they?

Still our bogie team though, as I said on the other thread very difficult for Kean as he could not make any positive subs due to the injuries, also meant three different centre half partnerships in the match, performance was poor though regardless, there were however reasons IMO.

Right now, this new era is looking like a chaotic mess that will take us down. Venky's have to buy an effing clue soon and get a good manager in, allow them to pick their players and not use the club to push their own financial interests.

Many of us made the point that this whole purchase of our beloved club was to further their own financial interests.

Venky's first,Rovers a very poor second and nothing to date makes me think otherwise.

Dreadful.

No response as yet, how about you Kelbo

No response here but Mrs D has been unusually quiet and I dont think her sons were at the game yesterday either,

I do know as you mentioned, some emails were blocked so she must have got a few of them through and I just hope she is taking on board some of the points we made, especially the ones about damaging the Venkys brand globally!

Exactly. Yesterday was Sam's team playing the way Sam would have got them to. I'm not a fan of what's gone on this week but the performance yesterday really cannot be used as an indictment. Sam had his fair share of middling results against weaker opposition at home. Kean's had three days, half of which he was probably getting over the shock of what's happened. The smart-ass comments I've seen on here and Twitter asking why we aren't Real Madrid all of a sudden and battering a team we've got a horrendous record against are really missing the point.

I'm more worried by their hopeless PR and the notion that having wanted to get rid of the expert from the outset the complete absence of a sensible array of plans for when that was realised. (In my view, Kean and/or Maradona are not sensible plans)

I'm sadly coming to the conclusion that our point of view as fans of the club counts for nothing in the eyes of Venkys.

I don't think this is true. Ms. Desai has obviously noticed and tried to calm fears. Notice her unsolicited call into the radio. The problem is that they have only managed to pour the metaphorical gasoline on the fire.

Venkys silence over the last couple of days is actually reassuring. Maybe they are learning. And maybe they are waiting to take stock following tomorrow's transfer meeting.

Venkys' situation is not hopeless. A win against Stoke ( ) and some positive transfer news (both getting rid of dead weight and bringing in some quality), will turn things around sharpish. To that I would add a high class manager. No offense to Kean, we need someone with a lot more in the way of a positive reputation and experience.

What I would say is that West Hams keeper looked a bit ropey at times, especially when put under pressure. Corners looked our most dangerous options. I wouldn't have minded tossing at least a few throwings in there to see how they coped. Moving Samba forward and pumping the ball in the box from every throw in or free kick in their half got incredibly tedious. However it worked and caused problems at times and as such shouldn't be overlooked as an option. I think the current boss is too scared trying to prove he can get them playing 'football' to risk using that tactic now and again.

Tedious or not, Sam would have ensured that we rattled the cage of that very inexperienced keeper and we would have easily won that game. 3 points is all I care about at this time. We are 2 games into this "reasonable' run of fixtures" and we have 1 point out of 6.

I have mentioned this before, the snow around the parameters would not allow a run up for the long throw!"!

While I agree that it wasn't a good performance, I think even Sam would have struggled with injuries to 3 key players hence I totally disagree we would have easily won that game with Sam in charge.

And anyway when was the last easy win? Wolves, where we relied on Robbo to make several amazing saves to stop them getting back into it?

Short memories.

sums it up perfectly for me... ;)

I see a clinic full of cynics

Who want to twist the peoples' wrist

They're watching every move we make

We're all included on the list

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

No nuclear the cowboy told us

And who am i to disagree

'Cos when the madman flips the switch

The nuclear will go for me

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

I've seen the faces of starvation

But i just can not see the points

'Cos there's so much food here today

That no one wants to take away

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum - take away my right to choose

The lunatics have taken over the asylum - take away my point of view

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum - take away my dignity,

Take these things away from me

The lunatics have taken over the asylum

The lunatics have taken over the asylum - take away my family,

Take away the right to speak

The lunatics have taken over the asylum take away my point of view,

Take away my right to choose

Hmm....I think I read somewhere that there have been a number of internal promotions at the club. But what happens when Sam gets a new job (very soon probably) and he comes calling for his old buddies? Remember the vacuum when Hughes took his pals with him? Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse huh?
