John Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 He's finally bought a football club. http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2011/01/21/2316944/official-indian-businessman-ahsan-ali-syed-completes-racing Will be interesting to see what happens.
imy9 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Finally an excellent article, that was a good read.
Amo Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Because that player might not improve the team or might even make the team worse ? Because the player might cause resentment in the squad owing to his huge wages and probable showboating ? Because the manager might not want the player and might resent having that player foisted on him ? Because the money would be better spent on 2 or 3 younger and hungrier players who would actually make a difference to the team ? These things are not difficult to work out. You're still top of the pops on the board over the past 24 hours. Keep up the good work. And yet your man Sam was desperate to sign players like Salgado, Guti, Raul, Van Nistelrooy, for his own profile more than anything. Can't have it both ways.
67splitscreen Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Edited, Sorry didn't read the above link first.
yeti-dog Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Finally an excellent article, that was a good read. I agree 100%,that was a very interesting article.Pretty much agreed with everything written.
LeChuck Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 And yet your man Sam was desperate to sign players like Salgado, Guti, Raul, Van Nistelrooy, for his own profile more than anything. Oh come on. Surely when you read that back you'll know how ridiculous it sounds?
Amo Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Oh come on. Surely when you read that back you'll know how ridiculous it sounds? Not really. The man couldn't go five seconds without reminding us who he signed for Bolton.
cruz Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Not really. The man couldn't go five seconds without reminding us who he signed for Bolton. Don't forget that he took credit for wins and blamed the players for defeats. His head was wider than his shoulders, but never bigger than his gob.
thenodrog Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Raos Are Not Headless Chickens Free Venkyburgers and chips for a year for Mr Amar Singh! Still if it pleases the ones who believe only what they want to believe then I suppose it's OK.

tony gale's mic Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 And yet your man Sam was desperate to sign players like Salgado, Guti, Raul, Van Nistelrooy, for his own profile more than anything. Can't have it both ways. That's as ridiculous as anything that Jim has written. Only I think Jim is half doing it to wind people up, yet you seem to be being quite serious.
budha Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I guess this fits here the best: Why Blackburn Rovers must act quick on finances.
philipl Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 I guess this fits here the best: Why Blackburn Rovers must act quick on finances. Critical issue for us. LT creating the untouchables. I would like to see Hoilett added to the list.

John Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 With all these new contracts/deals surely our wage bill will be looking pretty horrendous soon?
92er Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 With all these new contracts/deals surely our wage bill will be looking pretty horrendous soon? That is one of my fears, BUT remember there have been some out-goings. I presume we will have paid up Chimbonda's contract and therefore will not be a saving.
BangkokRover Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Would help if we could win a few games. 2 wins against WBA probably the worst team in the EPL. Tottenham, Wigan, Newcastle and Villa these are BIG games for Rovers. While I understand people are happy that we are playing a different style of football we are playing but are we capable of winning any games? Still a long way to go in this season and no doubt there will be many twists and turns. Lets hope most of them are positive for the club.

We have won - against West Brom as you state - and then ask are we capable of winning any games? The answer is blatantly yes.
