Until the pies are replaced with battery hen produced, grease, ridden chicken...

Now don't let me get in the way of a good rant but battery hens produce eggs Sysagent. Chicken meat is produced under very different conditions. ;)

Reflecting on the way Venky's have operated, do we just blame naivety?

You can't help but speculate/debate that something evil & sinister is at work (given some of the decisions they have taken).

John you seem to have gone from one of the most rational posters on this forum to a harbinger of doom. I know you care for Rovers but for god sake it’s not that bad.

Venky’s ‘evil and sinister’? I know they have made mistakes and perhaps have been a bit misguided, but that’s going way too far.

Having sacked a certain Mr A. I have it on good authority that Venkies have retained the services of Dr Evil and his assistant Captain Sinister.....send For Austin!

Whilst some of the language I used might be harsh, when you have or had an agent so (apparently :-)) fundamental to the running of a football club it can only spell trouble. The majority of people would only agree with that.

The decision making which has taken place really does beggar belief and it appears like we are finding that out first hand - not trying to come across as Mr Doom however just find our current situation, which is self inflicted, quite worrying – I am also taking into account the financial implications IF we were to get relegated. So much hard work, on/off the pitch has gone into the club in recent year’s.

Of course, appreciate a few good results on the pitch and things will be looking more positive – however the analogy of a slow car crash seems quite apt.

I'd feel a whole lot better about things if we had heard any information about a new Chief Exec coming in. This should have been paramount.

I'll forgive them the shirt sponsor because i guess nobody wants to commit to us whilst we're in danger of relegation. But for crying out loud, the club is in desperate need of John Williams MkII. And we're only desperate for MkII because we foolishly lost MkI!!

Venky's talked about cracking the Indian market. Well, they need to walk before they can run. A new Ch Exec needs to found yesterday. In light of today's rumours about considerably wealther Indians looking at buying Newcastle, you would hope Venky's might pull their finger out. If they aren't careful, someone else might just crack their Indian market whilst Barry decides which cheap suit to wear that day.

We need a new Chairman in asap!!! Somebody with excellent marketing links!

The onwers have to get a move on in making an appointment quickly if they want their plans to succeed in Asia and South America. Also might help if we had a proper manager in charge and not a first team coach.

Presume all these amazing marketing plans are on hold??

I was just wondering the same- there was supposed to be an amazing sponsorship deal unveiled about a month ago. If an Indian buys Newcastle, the ability to market Rovers as India's Premier League club are scuppered so come on, get on with it!

Guess the same thing happened to that as all the others words that have come out of Venky's mouth. I personally cannot see any company beating our 1.5M a season deal until we are safe and look like moving upwards.

Both Ambani brothers have been rumoured to be interested in buying football clubs.

Suggest that Mrs D. phones them this morning in order to see if either would be interested in taking our beloved Rovers off their hands. It would cost a lot less more than Newcastle!

Whilst I've no idea who the Ambani brothers are, or what they'd be like as owners, they surely can't be worse than the tools we have at the moment. Unless they have sold weapons to the Taliban, trafficed drugs and children, and conned people in some sort of Bernie Madoff pyramid scheme.

"But the resignation of auditors PM&M chartered accountants of Blackburn, who have had a relationship with Rovers dating back since clubs were required to produce audited accounts, is just the latest in a series of changes to the management affairs of the club following the Venkys takeover".

You simply have to ask why ?

Yet another longstanding, and local, connection severed.

Just more confirmation, IMO, that our owners haven't a clue what they are doing.

There's more important things going on this weekend than an insignificant background change

Accountants resigning are far from insignificant, they are a proffessional body and Mrs D can instruct all she likes, they wont do it her way, accountants follow the rules and knowing accountants, this will be far from insignificant,I would like to bet the Premier League and others will now be monitoring our club carefully now.

Fully hope the four remaining directors have a plan that they can execute to prevent total disaster of the club even if it does mean pulling the plug at some point, so long as they have a quick backup/recovery plan in place.

Conspiracies everywhere!! Where's my tin foil hat

No conspiricies, ask yourself a simple question, in a recession, why would a reputable firm of accountants decide to ditch a client and lose important added value to the company?

Surely that is common sense, I dont know what fees they charged but it would be close to six figures I would guess!
