Conspiracies everywhere!! Where's my tin foil hat

Kelbo is correct, if the accountants actually resigned this is very strong language presuming they did so for reasons other than a mutual agreement to part or because they (the accountants) did not want the business.

In accountancy "Resigned" could be interpreted as code for an unwillingness to audit the accounts in the manner required by the company in question.

The Barclays charge, which was reported on here weeks ago, was arranged by a different firm, a Newcastle based one, than has been used in the past.

Until the pies are replaced with battery hen produced, grease, ridden chicken...

At which point I will have bought my last pie at Ewood Park. Nothing to do with a protest though.....I simply cant stand chicken in any shape or form. Never have done in all my life.

Conspiracies everywhere!! Where's my tin foil hat

-----------------------------------------

If you cannot see the direction the club is heading then I am sorry for you. Please tell me a single action which Venkys have taken which has any degree of positivity about it. Every step this lot have taken moves us nearer to the precipice which IMO is now inevitable. Even a decent run of form leading to preserving our PL status will not restore my faith that the future will be positive under this regime. This latest action with the auditors is IMO yet another negative and worrying step. Won't hold my breath for any clarification other than more spin from a bunch of amateurs (at best) who I do not respect, trust or want in control of my club. Along with many others I have too much of my life invested in Rovers to support Venkys in any way. I will continue to support the team, the club for the values it used to portray, but the current owners or any of their associates - NEVER. I look forward to the end of this nightmare but fear that we have not yet hit rock bottom - just heading there fast. So angry!!!

Unfortunately unless some posters see 'cast iron proof' of any issues they will find it easier to snipe at posters like Paul, who if you'd met him would know he has nothing but love for the club.

They don't seem able (or willing) to read between the lines.

I'm sure Pompey message boards went down the same path.

Cruz and DGS, unfortunately you don't see the significance of this - some other posters have tried to point this out to you.

BRFC would be a 'big' account for the said local practice and the practice would not want to lose the account for obvious reasons.

The scary thing, IMO, is that we have not yet reached the bottom of a very deep pit from which there will be no escape.

Be interested to know Balwer and Philipl's views on the resignation of the club's auditors as I think they are part of the 'brotherhood'.

There's more important things going on this weekend than an insignificant background change

Just like we can walk and chew at the same time, we can discuss many different issues.

Not too many firms would walk away from an account like this. Impossible not to feel some concern unless we receive some clarification.

Unequivocally, can anyone think of one big decision our new owners have got right or one action taken that will progress our club ?

Mrs D, in my opinion and by your late father's rules (you need to get 8 or 9 decisions right out of 10), you and your brothers need to go and to take Messrs Kean, Jensen & Anderson (if he hasn't gone already) with you.

You are, in my opinion , destroying Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

The fact is they have made enough money to buy us. Be it via their own money or a banks. Me, you or anyone else couldn't afford that. I am quite sure nobody would support their decisions 110%. But they have the right to make whatever choices they like. I always believe that in life you should play the odds. If it hits the fan then you deal with it then. As long as Kean holds the dressing room we stand a good chance of staying up. So far i am yet to see evdence that is not the case. Beyond that Venky's have earned the chance to provide a business strategy for us. They have been naive in the past, but i think only the biggest sceptics wouldn't see they are learning. Its the fans job to help the 11 on the pitch believe they can stay up. Because for all the negatity Kean gets, you can see he is trying to keep the spirits up.

Give me one example where Venky's are "learning" because as far as I can see there is not one decision they have made which has strengthened or improved Blackburn Rovers Football Club and they continue to make one mistake after another.

If appointing Paul Agnew as Chairman is learning, I'd hate t think what getting things wrong looks like.

depends what you need a chairman for. If it's just to chair meetings to make sure they are run according to the rules laid down and then to give your views and make sure they are adopted as far as possible, then almost anyone would do.

and they would do that, because they still intend to make decisions without taking advice from people who have the very necessary experience and know how to run a Premier League football club.! You make that sound acceptable Gummers.

Clearly Blackburn Rovers have needed a chairman for far more than that these last few years.

of course we have, but these are different times. If the real decisions are made in India then surely we don't need a chairman for anything much more complex than that. There are rules about how the club is run, I know that, and obviously I've simplified the job but basically if the chairman is to be a chairman in name only then all you need is someone who can carry out the job the owners want and the rules dictate

I think that the next chairman of Rovers will be a chap who puts out chairs and then tidies them up again. The clue is in the title, really.

Wow. Just noticed a comment about Nicko coming back and have read through the various posts.

Normally an outsider comes on a board and has a go at the team/manager/club and gets a load back!

On here an outsider comes on and is supportive and positive and gets a load back!

Is there another messageboard like this one?

But surely with these owners we need a chairman who knows what he's doing and who is more than just someone who chairs meetings more than ever.

Every football club chooses its chairman very carefully so to suggest it doesn't matter who we pick isn't really the case IMO.

We are dealing with Venkys here, most clubs choose managers carefully, they didnt, they really are a joke outfit!!

If we were picking then JW would still be here. Since it's not the job it was then the criteria for choosing will be different. I'm not saying I think it doesn't matter who it is - I'm saying that if the role has changed to be little more than the club's frontman with all the big decisions being taken by the owners, then it matters far less than it used to. What we know we need, an experienced head of the club, and what we are going to get, will be 2 different things
