I don't see what the point of going down the 'I told you so' route is, we're all Rovers fans, and we're all suffering, what kind of strange pleasure are people getting?

I was willing to give them and even Kean a chance at first, but that's because they had become a part of our football club, it soon became clear that they spectacularly failed in just about every way.

Well I can't say I'm speaking for everyone, but there were some people borderline gloating and taking the mick out of people saying we'd get relegated under Kean. If you're going to take the piddle out of people for their beliefs, and then those beliefs end up coming true, you're going to get all that bad karma heaped back on you.

I'm not talking about when they first took over, but during last Summer when Rovers had just survived the drop and Kean was kept on after a poor half season.

Every manager gets a fair crack from me, even Kidd, Ince, & Kean. If they're crap, they'll soon be put of their misery (or so I thought. I said from the very start that in all likelihood Kean would be a failure, as few PL assistants (let alone coaches) make the step-up but I gave him a chance because.... what was the alternative? I've been calling for his head for the entire season and even relegation hasn't done the trick.

Jim just thinks he can throw enough mud and it'll stick, because he's sad like that.

Come off it. You relished the departure of Sam and thought Kean was the new Guardiola. And you kept backing him even when it was blindingly obvious he was useless.

You even sent me a personal message congratulating me at the end of previous season when I said Kean had done well to put us out of the mire in the last few matches !! For sad, look at your avatar - the work of a 14-year-old schoolboy.

just seen on facebook that a protest in blackburn town centre prior to the wolves game on the 4th december has been arranged. the protest is against venky's changing the name of ewood park. surely this is the last thing the club needs? protesting against new owners who have only been here 2 weeks?

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=163886676983987

This at least shows the last thing MArk and co ever wanted to do was protest

I'm sorry it's totally unfounded but right now I can't help but like our Indian Barry White he just makes me smile, I mean look at him! Hopefully this view wont change.

As for the photo ops you have to think the likes of Beckham will be being considered as they would love the publicity.

Also it looks like the late Big Bossman is providing security from those photos.

I'm not smiling as much these days (about Rovers)

I think you'll find I said it was risky to sack Sam mid-season and they should've waited til the summer if they were gonna remove him.

and thought Kean was the new Guardiola.

I'm still waiting for proof of this.

Define 'backing'. I don't think I've ever said that Kean is the man for the job, and I've been calling for his head throughout this season.

You even sent me a personal message congratulating me at the end of previous season when I said Kean had done well to put us out of the mire in the last few matches !!

So it's okay for you to give Kean credit?

For sad, look at your avatar - the work of a 14-year-old schoolboy.

Only cause you can't get it up anymore.

Don't quit your day job, pops.

What the bloody hell have we come to when people are scanning back months and months to dredge up posts to prove either that they were right or someone else was wrong??

We're all in this together and the last thing this situation needs is smart alecs telling everybody that 'I told you so'.

Leave the petty one upmanship aside and lets see what we can ALL do to get OUR club back from these charlatans.

I have been called a Samtard, Samturd, anti-football hoofball lover and also a RACIST by our OWN fans over the last 18 months for expressing grave concerns about the Venky's takeover and the wonderful pass and move football promised by Kean.

It is safe to say that many of our own fans have had a very steep learning curve this last 12 months.

The fact I was proven correct all along is irrelevant and I fully agree that the fanbase needs uniting again. It is not a time for "I told you so", but equally I will not forget the gross stupidity of many of our fans, nor the pathetic, childish insults levelled at me.

Me neither. Unfortunately although there are lots of denials some are incapable of learning any lessons whatsoever.

The most stupid still insist that they would not have got rid of Allardyce when the Slumdogs did but in an attempt to validate their idiocy insist that they would have waited until the end of the first season..... when our Premier league survival had been ensured again.

I honestly wonder how some have the intelligence to even manage to draw breath at times. At least 10000 0f these are in order. :wstu:

How long are you going to keep beating this dead horse?

You don't see people reminding you of how you wrote off Mark Hughes as manager.

Since you're so keen on Biblical references, try brushing up on Matthew 7:1 once in awhile.

The Allardyce argument is irrelevant, anyway. It was obviously wrong for them to sack him, but IMO there's no way Allardyce could have worked under Venky's anyway. At best I think he would have stayed until the summer then left, and Venky's would probably have then promoted Kean regardless.

I bloody hope so Den. If people still cannot recognise their stupidity then there is little hope for them in the future. Booing a 3-0 home win v relegation rivals played right into the hands of the fat controller ffs. I do take pleasure from witnessing that they have got every bit of what they deserve and it seems they are going to get more. Unfortunately I take no pleasure from knowing they have dragged the rest of us down with them.

Exactly. Had this out with someone a few weeks ago who was still banging on about how the football was terrible under SA (sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't, the results were fine) and how it was right to fire him but we should have got Jol in. This person was still pro-Kean until about October last year and until then used to bang on to me about how we "were trying to play football" under Kean.

West Ham had a reputation earlier in the season for not playing well but in the last stretch they were playing some good stuff. Sam mixes styles up to get the job done and was doing that with us. There were young players coming through under him, Jones loved working with him, Hoilett had signed a contract under him and Hanley was coming through. It was taking time but we were getting there, and with relatively less resources than West Ham had in the Championship.

I hope Sam takes Kean for every penny...

But the argument against Sam wasn't just the standard of football.......like how we would go 1-0 up and try and close out the game, playing 1 up top in every game, negative away from home against basically everyone even if a game was there for the taking.

I liked him (not as a person....if we won it was cos of him and if we lost it was because of the players) as he got results and we had just suffered under Paul Ince but I wouldn't of minded if we had sacked him one summer if we already had a "better" replacement lined up. For the reasons stated above....not so much the football played as more than half the teams in the league play similar stuff.

I remember Bolton fans stating he added the flair later on with Okocha etc so eventually he would of got the best out of Hoilett. His transfer record was obvo better than Kean and Ince's but not as good as Hughes. Altho that would of been hard to follow and Nzonzi, Givet and Salgado were excellent signings.

Obviously I doubt any reasonable Blackburn fan is happy we sacked him now but there is no need to lambast those who did. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. There were Liverpool fans who wanted rid of Benitez and Villa fans who wanted rid of O'Neill......All it's doing is dividing the fans again.

But yea let's all hope Sam takes Kean to the cleaners.....would love to see him make a public apology as well......if he remains our manager we can create a chant using some of the lyrics, that would wind him up.

Nerves have been touched and it was one of the biggest culprits who brought this issue up again. He's only himself to blame.

The days of playing two up top is pretty much over and for the last 5 years we've had to play 5 midfield because we don't have 2 in the centre good enough to play 4. We were negative away from home but we were almost unbeatable at home and we had Burnley well in their place.

I remember Bolton fans stating he added the flair later on with Okocha etc so eventually he would of got the best out of Hoilett. Sam had a mixed transfer record but was working on a negative budget and did sign Givet and Nzonzi in his time. (Hughes rarely had to sell).

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

No hindsight from me. It was pretty clear that sacking Sam would be a disaster as Venky's knew nothing about football. With the budget we had had since 2007/8 it was highly unlikely that we could get anyone "better" to manage our situation. We would have had to look for a successor at some point but we needed to let SA continue rebuilding us until that point.

Makes a change from you calling people "pop", when you get rattled.

This argument about sacking Allardyce will run and run Topman, for two reasons. Firstly, it was a big gamble for a small town club to sack a successful manager, - in order to play "attractive" football, and secondly it saw the end of a great era in rovers history.

Oh, there is a third reason. Some fans still think it was a good move. I guess these people would still sack a rovers manager even if we were to get top half Premier League football again. Would you?

lol. Who's rattled? Just fed up of Theno & Jim regurgitating the same crap over and over again. They are obviously men with very frail egos.

The argument for sacking Allardyce is a moot one. He wasn't part of Venky's/Kentaro's/Whoever owns us' grand designs. So taking cheap digs at fans for their preference over who they wanted to manage the club is puerile point-scoring. Allardyce's football was, quite frankly, garbage. It got the job done but it was crap and fans accepted it begrudgingly as a necessary evil. Venky's were supposed to represent a new beginning for the club. We would no longer need to go cap in hand to The Trust for a few coppers. Sacking him wasn't a huge surprise. Most new owners want to make an impact and get their own man in place. If Venky's had been worthy owners, they would have listened to the board and hired someone like Martin Jol or Martin O'Neil, someone who could get results without boring the tits off the fans. No one on earth envisioned that Steve Kean, a nobody from the backroom staff, would become manager and still remain so 18 months and one relegation later. To see people still lying this at the "Anti-Samites" is absolutely ridiculous. Fan opinion was never a factor in the direction of the club, that much has been made apparent.
