No, I don't know any more than anyone else Fife. I have however, realised what this deal is all about. I've also realised that there's more to come. and it aint good, believe me.

More Mystic Meg bull s**t coming from people who know nothing about the future. Believe you? Id rather believe Derek Acorah. I can just see people off this forum headed by Philip sitting around a crystal ball imagining the worst about Venky's. Im just waiting for the announcement that they will steal everyones first born child on Diwali.

You know what...I don't even blame Venky's/the Rao family.

I blame the Walker trust. How could they sell us to these people?

I think already serious questions have got to be asked - our club is being destabilised and not run in the correct professional manner.

Just waiting for someone to tell me things needed a shake up etc etc - shut up! This is not the way to run a football club.

I think we've still got to see how things develop.

Reports are saying that Keen will be charged with bringing in 4 'exciting players' and that we have some decent wedge to throw at it. There is absolutely no point making a judgement on Keen until he has made his buys. It sounds like we'll be looking at players between 20-25 (good enough to go straight in the side + future resale.

Lets be honest 4 good players will make a hell of a lot of difference to our team. It should also be enough to assure the better players in the squad (Samba) that we are going in the right direction - Lets just hope he's from the Hughes school of purchases and not Ince's.

Big call for the lad, if he brings in dross then we are screwed. If he can bring in some gems then he deserves a crack

Best thing he can do initially is get Diouf mk1 and Chimbonda out the door on Jan 1st. If Samba is still wanting away, why not make Salgado captain for the next 6 months? Model professinal and will surely have the respect of all the dressing room.

Derek Acorah? :D What's he know about BRFC?

Ok, that's fair enough slough rover, because I did leave myself open to that charge. It's only an opinion, but based on a few snippets, however we'll wait and see.

As for Venky's - they're doing well aren't they!

I hear Mrs Desai gave birth to a chicken.

Things have gone wild on here, but people have to be won over after Venky's have gone wading in making big changes as if we were a indian chicken company they'd just taken over.

I'm trying to hold fire and wait and see what happens now. Difficult to do though. It's like watching a removals van turn up to transport your gear to your new gaff, and that priceless vase on your coffee table is picked up by an old fella with pebblestone glasses and shaky hands, and his shoelaces are undone.

I don't get this part. If Sam's signings were all terrible and it was a key reason in the sacking since they didn't want to waste their money, why are we now letting a man who's never even made 1 signing spend the money? Surely the guy who has never done it before stands the biggest chance of signing tosh.

No half decent players are going to want to come and play for us anyway. It's hard enough to attract players to Blackburn at the best of times but you would be insane to sign for us at the moment. More reasons why the decision to sack BFS was ridiculous. If they weren't prepared to back him they should have let him ride out the season and then sacked him in May with an immediate replacement lined up who had the whole summer to rebuild. Lets face it, we were in no danger of going down until last Monday. As it is no-one will come because:-

a) It is Blackburn

B) The club is in turmoil and might go down

c) The manager is unheard of and his jacket is on an incredibly shoogly nail.

The only players we could sign and lower division players or the money grabbers like Chimbonda who are just looking for the next pay day.

Couldn't get worse really.....I might be wrong though.

Did anyone hear Howard Walker, Jacks son on Radio Lancs yesterday?

I am told he said his dad would be spinning in his grave at what had happened at the club, that the takeover was not supposed to be like this and Venkys representatives, during takeover discussions, made various promises which have been broken, he did not elaborate.

The person of the Walker family who looks after the Purse strings is Jacks daughter Carol (is she Matthewmans wife?)

as Jack didnt trust the sons with money, they would spend it unwisely, as yet I havent heard any comments from her personally, but from Howards interview, the Walker family are not happy with the situation to say the least.

I have supported Blackburn now for 54 years this season. I have watched them in and out of the old third division. I have seen the ups and downs which have brought us to where they are today. I remained a supporter because this was all a part and parcel of being a Rovers supporter. Success one year dissapointment and heartbreak the next. It's what has made the team so addictive to watch. I have even seen us being beaten by the clarets once or twice.....

However I have never ever felt so dissapointed as I am now. Football should be played on the pitch not in boardrooms. Managers choose the team and the players. He should bring in whoever he feels compliment his team at the time. He should stand or fail on those choices. The chairman guides the finances and the business. What is happening to Rovers now is a travesty. People who have no knowledge or passion for the game dictating to the managers.

Football clubs are now big business. No longer is this an extension of the football you see played in parks and pitches on a Saturday or a Sunday. Players are no longer decent human beings who you can speak to if you see them in the street. They behave and believe they are Gods. The game is going to pot.

We are now run by chicken farmers from a country in which they don't even play the game as a national sport!!! Bloody hell what is going on??

I really feel now that my 54th year will be my last as a Blackburn Season Ticket holder. I sat last weekend, frozen to the bone, bored and depressed. When they announced a further 4 minutes to be played at the end I almost cried..... it was like a punishment!!!

Comon the Stanley!!!!

Now watch some of the "true supporters" come on and slate you cause you are not being "loyal" enough after 54 years of being a ST holder.

Who have you asked?

Hopefully somebody on here can answer it! A barely profitable company is going to spend £5, 10, 15 million pounds on player transfers for a football club they own, how is this going to be funded?

By selling Samba and others would be one way of course...

The blackguards, the brutes, the creeps, the evil-doers, the malefactors, the offenders, the rapscallions, the scoundrels, the sinners of this whole tawdry tragi-comedy.

Bobby, it's not about the "True" or "Loyal" at all is it now?

After 54 years he's entitled to his opinion, I don't agree with my fellow supporter on ending his relationship with his club, but that's his call, I think he's being premature at the moment and I'd simply ask him to wait and see, I've posted on the Rovers Supporters topic, I'd urge my fellow supporters to read it, and of course I'd welcome reasoned comments to it, as that is what this board is all about isn't it?

they don't really have a right to be angry.

they put nothing into the club for the past few years

Give them some credit Lechuck. Nobody else would buy obviously. We've been for sale for 3 years remember. Furthermore the responsibility of the Walker Trust is to the Walker Family and not the supporters of BRFC. No one knows how the other parts of the trust are performing but dead branches always need pruning to keep the tree healthy.

I think we can take it as a given that BRFC was more of a drain than a benefit to their business otherwise they'd still be in control. Any adverse comments like the one from AndyC above can only be churlish and ungrateful from small minded people who haven't the ability, gumption or wherewithall to contribute sweet FA to the club. Jack and Fred Walkers enterprise has funded this club for 20 years at the top. They owe nobody a thing. Enough is surely enough.

I think, with the older fans, they are simply feeling as though they have gone full circle. They've seen the good times in the 60's, the dreadful times at the bottom end of the third division, the excitements of the Waggy, Hird and Bailey era, the joys and feelings of desperation of the play offs, then the enormity of the JW era.

Now we feel as though it's all about to fall down and the worst part of that is that it's self destruction. So do the folk who have been through all that want to start over again? I don't think so. I think they feel as though they've done their bit and now it's for the other generations to take over.

Remarkeable parallel with the Venky's if you don't mind me saying so.

btw You are on the right lines but Carol is not Richard Mathewmans wife. No more should be said about the Walker children btw it's not really their responsibility and most of them still live around Blackburn.

I think we've still got to see how things develop.

I'd class all that as hopeful optimism and nothing more. Goodnes only knows what you are basing it on.

Hi,

New poster in peace..

I'm currently testing the water for a protest after the Stoke game, I'm personally in favour of one but i wanted to see what other fans think..

So please see below:

Appoint a manager with experience!

John Williamss responsibilities returned!

Samba to stay!

Investment in January!

No to Kentaro/SEM influence!

...

If not…

Venkys out!

Rally at Jack Walker statue after the Stoke match (support the lads 100% during the game)

That is exactly it den, now I wasn't around in the 70s and it could be said that I was 'spoilt' by the last 20 years, however I always realised just how precarious our hold on the top table was, it was only through a succession of top managers and administrators post 2000 that kept us there.

If the club had slowly declined and slipped through the leagues we could accept it, however to see a strong position with a good mananger thrown away is too much to bear.

Vote here if you are for or against a protest on sunday: http://www.doodle.com/phmw7q8ffbu5zbyc

we will not have the answers to many of these questions until January at least.

So we can;t protest now, I'm quite happy with Samba's threats, I think thats a pretty powerful statement.

Still nobody can answer WHERE THEY ARE GETTING THE MONEY FROM to buy players?

They have a number of successful businesses, the biggest one where they get their biggest revenues from is not listed so we don't know the exact amounts. The people in the group may be combined worth billions- according to Nicko, but it's a safe bet that they have enough to fund us for a few million!
